So I found this online and was like..hey..that's cool I want one.


So I contacted the guy (whose very nice) an basically long story short. If I want one I'll have to make it myself.

Hey..I got ...minor.....modelling skill. Lets waste some money. I researched and spent some time on el internet-o and finally got what I think would be a good base for a Female Wraith-knight.


She got Ordered..I found a cheap recast Knight on the Bay of E that got ordered (I'm on a budget here and its still costing me 140 dollars for something that could completely fail) and a few days ago all the pieces came together. So...here's my Blog of me making (or failing) to make a female wraithknight. Criticisms and comments are welcome though if you just come here to give me grief about barbies not doing it for me anymore etc etc ..I will not feed the troll...save your time.

Shes gonna be wielding a sword and shield and I'm gonna try to put as many guns on it as I can. I'm saving the massive arm mounted Blaster rifles (technical Term) for her sister...if this one works out

I meant to take pics of the very early Process but got wrapped up in it so ...I missed those. I'll do better










First off, This is NOT as easy I as thought it was gonna be. I was gonna thin the legs and then wrap the wraith-knight parts around it. That was a terrible idea so what I did was just cut the legs off and ground them down to fit in the slots on the both the top and bottom. Then I dumped super glue into the recess to secure it. Engineer I am not.... I need to find a way to hide the damage on the back leg with more wraith knight parts, green stuff , whatever

Thoughts, comments, recommendations, requests for more/close up pics?...etc etc.

Looks like a good start. Only suggestion I would make at this stage would be to see if you can move the feet up inside the boot a little more.

That's a good idea..and for my next one Ill definitely be doing that, But shes kinda locked in a this point and trying to fix it would be a nightmare. Thanks!

Update 1:
I spent a of time trying to get rid oh her bikini only to realize her belt and loin cloth made that unnecessary.


Lesson learned

Instead of hip armor i just added the plates directly to her legs to get the same effect but make it look likes shes all one piece. there a gap...not sure what to do with that


I cut off her forearm and attached the Wraith knight forearm in its place. It night be too small ...so..Well see how that looks. Green stuff will be uses to blend it to the actual model. I also cut off the shoulder part of the wraith knight and used it as a shoulder cap for the resin shoulder. The vent /fin/apparatus fits on that. I might have to abandon using the wraith Knights shoulder pads though.




Lots more to do , the other shoulder, the scattersheild..The knees neck and head piece....

This is a terrific project! And so far I think you're skills are well up t the task of joining the parts from both kits. The greenstuff work is very subtle.

I'm wondering if Testor's Modeling Putty (comes in a grey tube) might not be what you could use for the areas that are too narrow to easily work with greenstuff. The putty is very workable- fit it into place with a toothpick and smooth with a bit of water on a q-tip.

I look forward to voting for this piece when you're finished, and will be following along with interest!

I use bondo putty (red car stuff) that's pretty sandable and when I'm all done with her build I'm gonna have to go in to get little seam parts. Ive never worked with the Testors you mentioned. I'll have to give it a try as bondo is kinda messy.

Second back fin added and more arm work done... plus shield!

Originally I was not gonna give the skirt to her cause..you know..who make 1000 yards of cloth for a giant robot. But then I threw the pic up on FB and 100 people said do it with the skirt. So...skirt it is.







Still need to add the second knee pad, the hands, the weapons, her head attachments and ..you know...minor cleaning all around

Shes Pretty close to being done (well built certainly not painted)

I've added stuff to her face to give her that more mechanical feel. She has this crown thing that probably needs some minor sanding. I might put another gem on the middle part under the main gem to hide any flaws






I'm gonna keep the back skirt cause it overwhelmingly endorsed. That's me holding the sword on ....probably not final pose but I ran out of blue tac. Her Hair Braids will need to be moved cause the run into her big back fins..so ...lots of hot water bending.






Theirs 2 holes on her upper thighs that will get vents to cover up. She needs the other knee pad and I have these vent looking things to help with the carnage that is her knee currently. I think I'm going to add some embellishments to the top of her boots with her unused shoulder pads.

She is Done!

Being Built that is.

Knee pads added, plus venting apparatus for her knees and upper thighs. Added some plates to the top of her "Boots"




Finished her Head dress and added an extra gem plus some arm work to make it blend a little better.


So I'm calling her finished


Got a friend who wants to paint her up and she'll be done. Than I can build her sister
