For the price, that's tempting.

That price, for that amount of terrain, is simply phenomenal.
I bought a ton of the old Platformer and Hexagon sets that Pegasus Hobbies once had the license for here in the states. The stuff is still available from Russia. Those plus about 215 original Necromunda bulkheads now fill my table, but I'll tell you this....wargamestournament's stuff is stupid cheap by comparison, and looks good too.

Wargames Tournament terrain is really good and recommended, also TTCombat, affiliated with Trolltrader in the UK if I'm not mistaken. Sold via Ebay and a webstore. Good quality and very cheap terrain. I built three of their kits last weekend.

I've got one of Wargames Tournaments Crane sets, it's bloomin huge, bought it as part of the bundle they did with creates all fits together great. Only thing with MDF terrain is to make sure you don't walk into it as it's a pain to fix.

Card terrain is indeed arse, for all the reasons that Yodhrin has listed. The Necromunda terrain has ensured that I have never bought any card terrain since.
My club has a fair bit of that wargames tournament terrain and it is very nice, it could do with being painted though.
It's interesting that the rules seem to have been substantially altered, I was expecting a near straight re-release.

Anyone have some good links to sites either selling files for 3D printers or laser cut terrain in the US that would work for Necromunda? Seems like every laser cut terrain shop I find with terrain that would work well for the old style of multi level is based in Europe. I don't want to have to pay an arm and a leg for shipping a bunch of wood.

If you had bothered reading any of the detective/CSI/Photoshop posts you would already have known this. This as all those posts claimed the same thing, i.e. that the Neomunda minis were in scale with modern GW-minis - but taller/broader than the original Necro minis (but still within the same scale). Also, as the N17 minis do have roughly the same sizes as the old Ndcro minis on heads, weapons, hands and arms - it will be easy to mix and match old with new when converting.

As I have some older plastic Bulkheads, I was considering taking an exacto knife to the tiles in the box to re-create the feel of those older cardboard walkways in the original box.
I wonder how thick those cardboard tiles are? I suspect they will be the same size as other recent GW stuff..

I have read them, and I have see how you efectively said how they where in scale the proper scale. I was talking about other people that doing their own... research they categorically said that the new necromunda models where much bigger than the new plastics.

There was an excellent Kickstarter from Promethium Games or somesuch in the US (conveniently timed with the reelase of SWA). The Wargames Tournaments stuff is neat but his shipping is insane for US buyer. I've emailed him about this and whether or not he considered or had a US supplier to which his responses email was: "No." https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1470715003/industrial-bulkhead-terrain-for-28mm-wargaming

Nope.
Confirmed that the tiles match the Forgeworld Zone Mortalis - and movement is done in inches, not in squares.

Second the vote for Promethium Forge. He should be done shipping the Kickstarter stuff in the next month and will then post the Industrial Terrain set in his store.

His shipping to the US is pretty reasonable.

I know the board has a few heads being scratched, especially given Necromunda is known as a superb 3D, multi level skirmish game.
But, it's now a legitimate 'buy the boxed set and you're done if you like' affair. Given the growing popularity of 'proper' board games, that's arguably a smart move.
If it's bought as a blind present (X might like that for Christmas), its self contained enough that you don't need anything else. And putting the 3D rules out in the co-released expansion still leaves us Old Grognards with the game we crave for the scenery we quite likely already own.
YMMV of course, but that's my take on where I think GW's strategy lies.

Some of the MDF stuff is certainly improving, but I'll likely be supplementing my original Necro terrain with something like this, made from bits from the Maelstrom's Edge terrain sprue.
Having new rules to play around with its certainly a nice motivator to get some more terrain done.

Some folks that I know are planning on using their Deadzone terrain from Mantic.
Another is investing in Pegasus/Imex Platformer stuff.
At least two don't care whether the new rules are any good or not - they have the old rules, and want the new models. (And, like others have said - the old terrain holds together a lot better than some would have us believe.)
As for the PDF terrain... there is one piece that I think I may use for a special scenario... and, again, I already have the PDFs....
(I am cheating by using this - I built the model for Mordheim.... It just needs some repair work to use again.)
But some dark corner of my soul still expects GW to feth this up, and make me change my mind about buying Necromunda. (It has been eight years and more since I last bought any GW models or games.)
The Auld Grump - which does not mean I have not played any - I ran a Gorka Morka game this year, and have run more Mordheim games than I feel like counting. Mordheim is my favorite miniatures game, and has been for decades.

Picked up my Sector Mechanicus bases, and am waiting on some AOR Bloodreavers.
The test models look sweet, and the guys look pretty sweet in comparison to the new stuff coming out.
Start my gang off with a new size, and also use them as Human Nobs. I'm thinking this gang might be good for double duty in Necromunda, AND Gorkamorka.
Blood for the Leather god!!! Tuxido trousers for his throne!!!
Looking at the new figures, the Ork weapons are dead on for them. Axes and Swords, shotguns, and Bolt pistols get extra mention.
Problem I have is that the old gangers are smaller. One issue I see might be the Juves... The old Juves look like babies next to the new guys.
Make sure you double down and buy at least 2 boxes of these.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

To those considering the Constructor set pictured above, please do be aware it was a smaller scale that the original Necromunda terrain.
Noticeably so, but still 'just about close enough'.
As it seems these ones have been through the resizograph, the Constructor kit may leave them looking they're scrapping over a kid's jungle gym.
