Mate of mine was telling me there are plans for an Inquisitor warband in the near future, has anyone else heard this?

I'd like to see an Inquisitorial 'gang' for Necromunda. It'd probably the only way we'd ever see a new plastic Inquisitor and plastic Acolytes that could be used for 40k.

So Necromunda makes MRAs mad? Even more reasons to love this game!

He was right about the HH dark angels a while back and told me about a fair few things that have since come out, so he is reliable, to me at least. I was just wondering if this was somtbjng people had heard.

I've heard nothing about an inquisitor warband for Necromunda but it could make sense, if by warband you mean something like a few hired goons or investigators (with slightly better stats and/or equipment than regular gangs). The Inquisition isn't only about world shattering events and sometimes they just need somebody to do the low-level grunt work. Necromunda could be "interesting" for some reason and somebody may needs to look into this. Maybe they could hire from all the gangs and provide them with less rusty equipment. That could be a completely new gang that needs no new models.

Considering how popular the whole Inquisimunda phenomenon is, it would make sense for GW to make some sort of Inquisition related expansion.

Don't know if this was posted yet but release is the 24th and along with the game they will be releasing 10 man box sets of Goliath and Escher as well that week with the rule book, some terrain and card decks

Firmly agreed, the only bit of the expanded fluff I'm even slightly reticent about is Van Saar's STC thing and then only because it's not yet been made 100% clear that it's a total secret in-fiction. Sadly I had to quit the Necromunda Worldwide facebook group because I got sick of Pepe-meme numpties posting giant whinges about how "SJW cuck GW" are ruining Necromunda by making the Big Strong Manly Men dependent on Escher for their growth hormones, so evidently not everyone is happy with the additions

Maybe it's a good thing If they're congregating there? Sorta? In that a lot of people, and especially people like that tend to love an echo chamber. And we all have limited time (those guys have lots of CoD/Madden to play, no doubt), and if they're sockpuppeting SJW accounts then they're even providing themelves somewhere to feed/something to attack.

Honestly, most times I have a lengthy read and post in N&R, I end up with at least 1 new person on ignore due to stupidity and/or ignorance (which is different to disagreeing with me). But facebook overall makes this place look like a house of reasoned debate and manners. Are there other FB Necromunda groups where the atmosphere is less toxic? Reddit? Surely there must be?

They've sorta-got SW:A, I guess. Though that's clearly not going to be as mass-market as Necro..

If it brings about a plastic Inquisitor + Retinue Box, then bring on an Inquisitorial Gang! Hell, let's go super wish-listy and say one for each Ordo!!!

Anyway, I'm surprised with all the news from that event thingy that's going on (new Codices, Skaven for Shadespire, Barbarian chick for Age of Sigmar, etc.) that there's zip for Necromunda.

Well, it was an Age of Sigmar/Shadespire event so I figure they tailored the seminar for the audience (outside of 40k, which they would have announced anyway).

Because they probably would have announced the upcoming codices even without the event. They've been letting us know what the next two or three codices are in advance of release.

Any word on Hired guns??
I am hoping for a few different ones.. odd ball stuff.. but would be nice to drag out my old stuff
and knock the dust off them..

Never got the new blood bowl to compare releases but figured it was just the two basic teams in the main box set
and the death zone book with the remaining teams... not sure..but hopeful

Makes good business sense to keep the Necromunda hype focused on the initial release, since it's not yet out but so close. The last thing they want is for people to hold off on buying/preordering the Goliath and Escher gangs because they want to hold off for Orlocks or Cawdor or something...

The main Inq28 Facebook group has very recently spun off a necromunda group because of a backlash against the kind of issues you've identified with Necromunda Worldwode. You should see it linked from there.

Gang war book isnt the rulebook. You need the starter box rules plus gang war.

There is also dice coming out

Presumably the same dice as the ones in the boxed game, and not some super-duper limited edition Escher/Goliath dice.

Not that I'm opposed to that. God knows I'd get Delaque dice if they made 'em.

Agreed. I also just quit that FB page, it's gross. They also use a shedload of sockpuppet accounts to make 'SJW' types to post idiotic stuff so then they can all pile in and rip at it. the Necromunda Worldwide page is a total waste of time now. All the Pepe morons going on about Eschers and how their 'Amazon Warrior Trope' is GW pandering to feminists and somehow related to Gamergate... I asked for some kind of moderation, to return to topic and hobby and, y'know, fun, but was shouted down by a mass of rabid spankers. So quit and on the lookout for good pages with hobby content and not rampaging manchildren.

Tell that to these people. Why is it okay for them to "take this thread to gak town"? This topic for discussing Necromunda news not political rants that abuse people.

They're saying a bunch of idiots showed up, the moderators have done nothing to deal with them and generally saying avoid the community because it's not worth it. In a thread about a re-emerging game in which people may be looking to join communities.

That's not much in the way of abusive, you're just being very defensive. That said people engaging on this topic last time caused the stupid to spiral out of control so I'm done with you.

Those males just have a fragile ego. Being subservient or losing to a woman is anathema for them. I wonder what they do, if their boss is female? Quit the job? I have bought a copy of the new WD yesterday. The Escher beat the Goliath fair and square (12:4). Though don´t tell these guys the result, otherwise they blow a gasket and we might have a WD burning on our hands.

Joking aside, I really like the new Necromunda boardgame so far. Board tiles are of a high quality, templates are back and there are even random event cards that spice up the game. The postapocalyptic theme with all the rusted industrial material permeates the setting akin to a Fallout videogame and is a welcome break from my catachan jungles. This release restored some of my faith in GW which was nearly lost by products like AOS & 8th 40K.

Both gangs feel also right at home in a 80s gritty postapocalyptic world like Mad Max and are suited best in my opinion for a starter box.
Close second would be Delaque with a cyberpunk Matrix/Shadowrun/Blade Runner feel. In these three settings you need either a coat, shades or both to properly fit in.
After the Delaque comes House Van Saar which members are distinguished by their Dune bodysuits which is frankly more of a scifi-setting than anything else.
The only two Houses which feel tacked on are Cawdor and Orlock. You have religious zealots in any kind of setting so they are nothing special. They only become special and awesome with a dose of 40K silliniss and then they suddenly become Redemptionists. To be honest I have never understood the inclusion of the Orlocks. Totally without any kind of flavour. I read that they are supposed to be a biker gang but any other member of a House can mount a bike.

The emphasis on tunnel fights is not a dealbreaker for me. Other boardgames like Space Hulk, Deathwatch Overkill and Doom (2004 & 2016) were always a joyful experience and never a waste of time to my friends and me. According to the new WD next month will feature another Necromunda battle report but this time with Forge World 3D terrain. I am rather reluctant to purchase terrain and are more fond of building it myself. Are there any websites or youtube videos out there that address this kind of hobby activity for building postapocalyptic industrial terrain?

Hopefully the new 40k RPG will factor in this kind of play - I can imagine some cool one-off campaigns being played with the contents.
Of course, the Gang War book might very well be all that and more, so I'm eager to see what we get, what new lore comes out, and how it continues to drive old-sexists out of the Hobby.
All good things.
Everything I've seen about Necromunda is fantastic, except the price tag - not bad, but a little high for me during the holiday season.
