Firstly, we did tell you you’d be getting 10 codexes this year, and we can confirm that the next two will be… (dramatic fanfare please):
Codex: Blood Angels and Codex: Dark Angels!
Both of these Chapters are firm fan favourites in the Warhammer 40,000 community, and their new codexes are packed with all sorts of awesome content designed to bring them up to speed with their brethren who adhere more closely to the Codex Astartes. You’ll find Stratagems, Warlord Traits and updated lore, as well rules for including the arsenal of the Primaris Marines in your Blood Angels and Dark Angels armies.
Not to worry, servants of Chaos; 2018 will be kicking off with a new codex for Chaos Daemons, all the better to slay the servants of the Corpse-Emperor (or just anyone who gets in your way) with.

It comes as no surprise at all that the flood of quick-turn codices have almost all been well established lines. The only deviations to that have been Death Guard, who got a ton of kits and fill in with units from the CSM list, and AdMech, who are on the small side of available units (although on par with what armies like Dark Eldar and Tau had when they got their first codices) but got beefed up on unit choices by having Mechanicus affiliated Knights in their book. I expect that we'll likely see SW, Orks, Necrons, DE, all before we see codices for armies like GSC, Harlequins, etc. However, there are some caveats to my expectations. Deathwatch have a fair amount of stuff available, and if primaris are largely available, I could see them taking a spot in the mix of the others. Thousand Sons, depends on whether they intend on expanding the TS specific units. If they leave them with the current choices, they're likely to be in the mix of the quick-release codices. Sisters of Battle are a unique situation. They have a lot of units that are theoretically available, but not in plastics. That would take a multi-week, comprehensive release. I suspect that the smaller army lists will be saved for later, and will see units added...they'll effectively be the traditional mini-supported codex releases that we're used to. BUT, they may decide to break up the flood of quick-release codices here and there with a larger release.

Going to be grim for Nurgle and Slaanesh to have to make do with the understated Greater daemons in the codex too, then again the Bloodthirster and Changer of ways are hardly durable themselves. I just want a greater daemon who can actually survive to lead my army, it is so anti climatic for my greater daemon to die the instant my opponent gets a turn.

She had a nun's veil and power armour. Not even a loincloth. You may be right about DA didn't got their (monk!) robe before the Sister's first mention, but they certainly did not 'stole' it from them as Azrael (+ the midget), Asmodai, Ezekiel and Bethor are older than the first Sororitas models.

That would be nice
I wonder if Daemon's will get legion traits, like the Legion of Ka'bandha, or the host of m'kari or will they just be Tzeentch, Khorne, slaanesh, Nurgle.

Wonder if we'll see successor chapter traits in these books, like Lamenters or Flesh Tearers, or if they'll all just use their parent chapter trait and be counts as blood angels.

Well they can't be worse than they are now. I wouldn't worry about the KOS or GUO when the new models are ready they get buffed data slates with the models. I'm more concerned about the other marginal units in the codex. Expanded units rules, stratagems, and psychic power could go a long way to making Daemons more viable. A deep strike stratagem is pretty much a given, but some defensive buffs like -1 to hit outside of 12" could go along way in making ranged firepower more survivable as well. I expect each of the gods will be getting their own "tactics" and Stratagems. If they do something like AOS daemons their could even be multiple factions and tactics per god. A good example of what they'll probably is the Death Guard codex. Maybe not separate tactics but enough variability with warlord traits, stratagems, relics. That you can tailor you army to fit the fluff you want. Death Guard will obviously get they're own special rules and traits, and probably Sanguinary Guard as well. I would be really cool if Lamenters did get some love.

Expect the re-release codices before Sisters. Daemons make sense because they can launch a new GUO alongside them that also ties in with the Death Guard stuff as well as "Season 2" of with Blightwar and potentially the other stuff recently previewed. Both BA and DA have dedicated kits as well as the (small) upgrade sprue - especially BA who have a full line worth of dedicated kits. What do you think they need?

Eldar and GKs didn't get new models, just a release of a plastic character that had been available elsewhere before.
Primaris and Death Guard were the big new model releases. I think that other armies with complete model lines will be slotted in between those armies that are getting new models.

Blood Angels will probably get some successor chapter stuff, especially with the Flesh Tearers since they have their own character. Probably not anything like different chapter tactics though.
I’d like to see their assault units get buffed though. Marines have never really been all that great in combat, so some more rules to make them the CC guys would definitely help set them apart.

It's not so bad. Compared to Ultramarine smurf-jokes and Guilliman-spelling variants some people apparently think are funny, it barely comes up.There're probably less Chaos- DA "jokes" on the internet in a year than there are "clever" Girlyman-variants being posted in a day. Or just asked a Tau player about the last time they managed to play a game without a lazy communist joke of fish pun being dragged out for the umpteenth time.
Original humor isn't the strong suit of the 40K crowd.
