I'll need to count up how many of each bit I'll need, though.
Those are $200 shipped from US to UK, two sets of these are about the same amount of stuff for 140 GBP shipped within the UK, so a hair cheaper and no danger of customs.
For the rest of the EU, the US ones are a bit cheaper if you can avoid customs, otherwise probably a lot more expensive. Automatically Appended Next Post: Death Ray Designs (US) walls in action https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxeuCrrZCpc

I think they're a cracking idea, wherever you source them from. My only concern is that uncareful play could lead to them being nudge, opening up or closing off thin lines of sight.
But hey, that's a product flaw. That's a clumsy buffoon flaw, and we'll just have to be sporting about it!

Two solutions:
1) Blu- tac them down.
2) Don't play against bellends.
2) is the better option, IMO.

Here it is in-situ, in another Container Shop, this time from the deft hands of one David White.

The GW containers kit seems like the best value such thing abut as well as looking great. I was shocked. The combination of containers and random other gubbinz in the kit actually seems to be very competitive with other MFG's. Anyone else found anything much cheaper?

Reckon I'd always stick with GW stuff for at least the base kit - simply because they've got their own scale. So if I buy GW, I know it'll fit in. Then I can mess about with it to my heart's content!

The best 28mm shipping containers were the ones from AT-43, but they've been out of production for a decade. Not proper ISO proportions, but the detailing was excellent.
Failing that, I like 4Ground's containers - ribbed sides, hinged doors and a removable roof to get models in.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

That plastic canvas stuff is gold - if you get the six-count version(sadly only available as part of some weird purse pattern that I could find) it almost exactly matches the grid size & spacing on the SectorMech walkways. I plan to make my own actual walkways out of that sandwiched between plasticard with some detailing, and use the greebly GW walkways as low-level footways with a solid support base(blocks LoS, adds height variety, and also makes all the machine gubbinz under the grating look a little more appropriate/plausible).

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal |

They also look very cool but with the current exchange rate the GW package sneaks out ahead because it comes bundled with the extra scatter gubbins. I'm usually aghast st GW pricing but for some reason the container set actually seems reasonable. I may have to have a lie down!

I much prefer the Munitorum Containers myself, it's a good bargain for the amount of scatter terrain you get, though I am slightly biased as I buy mine at a 20% discount.
But I like them as you can stack them, cut them up, turn them into hab units or in my case, an improvised gatehouse. The piles of crates and fuel drums are a nice bonus and make for good conversion / kitbash fodder. Automatically Appended Next Post: Does anybody know of a good source of 28mm scale bottles by any chance?
I've been turning one container into a bar / water merchant and I still need to add in some shelves with bottles, but can't until I find a good source of bottles.

I have a distinct feeling I've seen some somewhere. I've got a big list of 3rd party manufacturers (although I need to add some from this thread, it still amazes me just how many there are out there), so I'll poke through and see if I can find who did them

Alternatively classic bottles can be done with beads, or taking some acrylic rod in a drill and sanding out the shape, also clear plastic mugs from lego.

Ok, Tiny Furniture has some stuff, like these barrels and tavern stuff. It is more fantasy themed, but that could be a nice touch with the scavenger nature of the underhive.

Had a thought at work tonight. I have two sets of the underhive tiles. Gives me a 4 x 4 square of them, not quite 4' x 4' but probably close enough.
Could you make corrugated scrap, diamond plate scraps and the like, paint them up and glue them directly to the ZM wall blanks (the black sections) on the underhive tiles as general debris and dress them up as a simple and easy floor for your gang war fights? Would they hold up?

It's an atrocious picture, but this is a decent set for a space pub:
http://www.scotiagrendel.com/Products/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=227_220&products_id=2734
This is a better pic:
https://shop.battlefield-berlin.de/img_big/41c619f5e50b43335bbb74c1a8ea86fc.jpg
The only issue I have with it is that the space in the bar isn't quite big enough for a 25mm base.

I started working on my own walls in plasticard. The MDF stuff is really nice but still pricey and shipping from the UK is almost as bad as from the US for me.
Prototype
I can build 4-5 long walls per 2 euro sheet, before detailing. I will make the "production model" fancier.
