Get ready for the ultimate celebration of the world's greatest hobby – this year's Warhammer Fest is going to be bigger and better than ever. With tournaments, tutorials, a range of tickets and a few big reveals planned, you won't want to miss it. Make sure to get your tickets on Monday from the Games Worskhop website (if you're in the UK) and Forge World (if you're from somewhere else!)...

No HH or 40k tournament announced for Warhammer Fest so far, however everything else including Shadespire and the Hobbit gets one, so I'm not happy.
In the sweepstakes I'm expecting Titanicus to have playable demos and for the new 40k Titan to be onsale.

There won't be a 40k tournament, due to it being the finals of the GT instead (which is kinda disappointing...)
As for HH, i dont know. Part of me thinks it won't be involved as it hasn't been announced like it was last year. I also kinda feel like GW have completely sidelined HH.
I went last year, due to the 40k event, but, won't be going this year. The tourny was a looong day, and, i just felt like wandering around the rest of the event was a bit of a chore and not much else there interested me that much. Sure, looking around a room full of Golden Daemon entries was amazing, but i kinda felt let down by the rest of it. Taking part in the events is great though.
As for the "big reveals", we'll find out about them whether we are there or not, as they'll put up articles on the community site.

I'd say so.
I've been to all the Warhammerfests so far, and it's a different thing to a Games Day.
Typically it's a good deal quieter, and everything just feels less anarchic and better organised.
There's painting pods you can join to witness new techniques/see how the studio does it, games to faff with and usually a decent number of pre-orders.
My choice is whether or not to go for both days, or just the one. And whether to drive up (tiring), or get the train (more expensive).
But I'm definitely going! And hopefully, spending less of my time in the Forgeworld queue for the Lootin' Group

The painting ones tend to be cyclical - so easy enough to catch the one you want. There is seating, but no upper limit of attendees at each pod (it's not like the restrictions for the ticketed seminars).
Oh, and speaking of seminars?
To Whom It May Concern...
If you're going to one, gonnae hush your gums, haud yer wheesht and generally shut up when the FW guys are talking. You see, your mind numbing running commentary to your mate sat right next to you. In the same room. Seeing and hearing the same thing as you. AT THE SAME TIME has a nasty tendency to drown out what the Actual Person With Cool Stuff To Tells Us is saying. So button it, cretin.

It's just rude is all!
Oh, and if people could also not ask questions during the all-too-brief Q&A window that have just been covered in the same seminar, that'd also be great.
Asking for clarification on something is of course fine. We all like to get our rumours and that straight. But when it's the equivalent of hearing about Fires of Cyraxus for the first time, then your pudgy, cheeto stained mitt goes in the air followed by 'are the adeptus mechanicus going to get an IA book', you'll have to excuse my screams of frustration. Likewise, don't ask Heresy questions in a Necromunda seminar etc.
Keep it focussed. Keep it relevant. I don't mind not getting picked if all the other questions have been interesting and probing.
Finally? Don't just rephrase the question someone just asked.

That makes sense for 40k, but not for HH. I try to go to most of the HH events at Warhammer World as I can, they normally sell out so I can't do all of them. As they sell out I'm surprised they didn't bother running one this year, and I can't see Hobbit coming anywhere near to the same level of attendance or support as HH...

Oh, speculating beforehand is fine, and often interesting. My comment was in relation to the reveals are being one of the big/main reasons to spend £20 on a day ticket to visit. My bad for being a tad too vague.
My impression is rather that HH isn’t currently “developing” in the same way as 40k, AoS, Necromunda etc. To me Warhammer fest has always been a way to showcase the next big things – last year, it was big on HH, with Magnus finally getting a model released alongside other new Thousand Sons kits, whilst tying in the release of Book 7.
Right now, with 8th edition still centre stage, and Necromunda growing rapidly, the stage is set for these games to be showcased, alongside some of the other games that are still growing well and being moved forward with a frequent pace.
There are also space restrictions to consider. Last year was 40k, AoS, HH and The Hobbit. (Can’t really remember seeing any Bloodbowl tables). There were also a handful of other tables for casual play.
This year will see the 40k Grand Tournament with 120 players. An AoS Throne of Skulls which could be any number of players. A Bloodbowl cup, and a Saturday only Shadespire tournament, I just don’t think they will have the ability to then also include a HH event, let alone anything to do with The Hobbit.
We might see some new reveals relating to HH from the seminars, and, the ever ongoing teases for the next Black Book, but beyond that I’m not sure we’ll see anything more.

So books 8 and 9 coming isn't being "developed"? With new and updated rules. Dark angels are said to be getting lots of models as well. And as for Magnus...Well whatabout Dorn and Valdor? 2 big names right there. What makes Magnus release bigger than Dorn?

Nope, they literally just had part of a weekend event about HH, the other part was about Necromunda and there was no tournament.
The HH Tournament at WHW seemed to be listed in some places but not others. It looks like the events team a just not wanting to support HH.

Book 8 has been "coming" for how long now? Every event/weekend/update about it seems to continually push the release back. Dorn, has had rules for several years, but only just got a model. Valdor, is a big release yes, but it is also a stand alone release for the 30k Custodes. Magnus was different, due to it being linked with other releases and the release of Book 7. There were 5 or 6 new Thousand Sons kits available that weekend, plus other new HH kits that also linked to Book 7. Dorn's model release doesn't represent HH being developed, it represents a continuation of the Primarch range as they start to get towards the end of the project.
As for the new rules/updates, i've seen more people put energy into developing 8th edition rules for HH than work around 7.5. (which also, shouldn't exist based on their "intended" direction for 30k). There are also still big outstanding issues with the Black Books, missing models from a lot of the books, and a list of things needing FAQs years old.
When are the Dark Angels getting these units and models? Rumour wise. Inferno is nearly a year old now, and currently there is only 1 SoS squad and a transport. 3 additional units can be got from GW, but the rest are missing.
The fact is, book 8 is rumoured for a release in December 2018 at the earliest. Dark Angels, White Scars and Blood Angels aren't going to get any models released before then. Hopefully, between now and then, missing units, upgrades etc will be released, but the truth is, they aren't "big" releases.
HH has a lot of fans, but, the game isn’t currently a priority when you take a look at the bigger picture.
The pace and quality of releases needs to improve before it is able to be put back into the spotlight imo. With the release of book 8 (hopefully) by the end of this year/start of next year I can see it being back at Warhammer Fest in 2019, but it will all depend on what direction GW has taken with its other games.

And Dorn and Valdor came with other kits along. Again what's the difference? Primarch+supporting kits. Both same. Magnus your favourite primarch so any non-Magnus release needs something like new titan chassis alongside to count as major release?

It diminishes your point as by pointing out that it was false. There was not a whole weekend devoted to Horus Heresy. I was at the weekender and yeah, there was quite a bit of not HH there.
Also I never said it was being sidelined, Kdash did, but:
The amount of resources devoted to HH has reduced (artists working on Necro instead for example). The design team (3 people, 1 very new) is the largest team but lacks the clout that Alan brought (the number of times the team said "ask tony" or "tell tony" during the workshop was very telling).
