Pose and anatomy are ...yeah, par for the course with recent GW imitations.

What bothers me is how shallow some of that sculpting is. that thing is going to come out looking flat as hell with detail barely visible, soft flat surfaces that should be well defined ect.

it speaks of someone that is a competent digital artist but not a good sculptor, as they have no consideration of how their ideas will transfer into an actual physical medium.

Ok, some models, Brother Vinni for example, do perhaps go far enough that I can understand how they would repeatedly provoke a response. But this model isn't particularly egregious, yet still we see the same ole same old trotted out once more.

To be fair though, if there's a market for non-cheesecake non-40K models; how are companies to know unless people voice that preference in places like this? You can't vote with your wallet unless the things you want to vote for does exist.
The other side of the coin of course is that if/when such models get offered, the people who advocate them need to go out and actually buy them.

I'd like to name Brother Vinni as a quite exemplary manufacturer in this regard actually. The company does offer cheesecake women and some disturbing slavery/torture themed models but also quite a few gorgeously sculpted, sensibly dressed and very realistically depicted women models. That there is a manufacturer where you definitely can vote with your money if you're after some 28mm scaled wimmin'.

Doesn't look like the sculptor put a lot of work into the chainsword. The boobs aren't a big deal, for me, but I wish she didn't have such a silly pose. I'd consider maybe picking her up if she had a more reasonable pose.

Not an exact match but close enough to show that there are some real women that look like this. Fake or not, they exist. Yeah the chainsword and backpack are the only things I really don’t like.

I kinda like the model.

I would just paint the top area from the tip of the corset to the choker she is wearing a solid color as though she was wearing a 'combat-glove' style body suit.

In that particular case I vote with my wallet by buying from some other manufacturer altogether.

That's one option.

Another is to nudge the sculptor into using his considerable skills for the product you wish to have more of. If 90% of Brother Vinnis customers just bought his awesome viking ladies, then I suspect next release would be more of that. If 90% buys naked girls in chains, then I fear next release would consist of a fair few resin women having a bad time. (Or I guess a good time, if it's depicting some consensual kinky stuff going on rather than literal enslavement or captivity. Depends on the context of how the models get presented)

It's not the size. It's the attire. Well the combination of both makes it even more blatant ofc.

I understand on the attire. The pic was mostly a comment regarding comments on “huge ridiculous globes duct taped to her chest, or gravity defying boobs, or huge tits”.

I’m not saying her clothes is practical for hunting heretics, just that her proportions aren’t super unrealistic. Although, yes large.

I was thinking on this some. As it it fantasy, she could have breast implants. And by that I mean power field or bullet resistant material or armor plates in her chest. Who knows... if so, then her attire could just be to her instill fear in her enemies. “I shot her right in the chest and she just shrugged and smiled! We can’t kill her, run!!!!”

Nothing really wrong with 'sexy' but this is just ridiculous. The combination of giant boobs, flimsy limbs and totally crazy pose make her look like she would fall on her face instantly.

Well, this explains why generic inquisitors max out at a 4+ armor save. Quite the target area.

Mine just turned up - thought some people might like to see it:

She comes in 4 pieces - her left leg, left arm, and backpack are separate:

The chainsword is indeed moulded on, but doesn't look quite as bad in real life imo - I'm holding a FW one next to it for comparison:

I dont get this duct tape referance...

anyway

i like most of her. the pose is weird but meh

the only thing that i dislike is the back pack thing.

the hair is really nice though,.

The only way her shirt would stay up/attached is if it was duct taped.

You haven`t seen many dresses, looks like.

The overall mini is ok, IMHO. But I find the combination of the pose and the skirt bad - one doesn`t seem to match the other at all. Details are a bit too bubbly/ unsharp for my liking as well, in a privateer press way.

Disappointed in the model honestly. I am usually a big fan of Maxmini. The pose is wierd, she has too much chest weight and honestly not crazy about the style/details.

Hey guys!
Thanks for the huge feedback about this figure. It was my very first mini that I created from scratch (concepts and so on). What I had in mind when I was creating her, was that she is nonchalantly walking among her enemies and from time to time burning someone down. I agree that her pose is maybe not very typical, but that was what I was thinking about when drawing the first sketch of her About her boobs - haha yeah, well I went kinda crazy, but hey, I think it looks really good on the actual mini. I'll also keep in mind some of the comments about the chainsword and other things for the future projects.
Thanks again!

(oh and she is actually wearing a corset ;D)

edit 2: Also because some people were not sure - she has a coat gathered in her waist with a belt. Ofc the interpretation with a skirt or a shirt underneath is also fine ;D but just putting my intention here.

So for those who don’t like the breasts, is it because they are too large, aren’t adequately covered? Or is there another reason? I think they look fine. She may be a bit top heavy for her frame but nothing to egregious. I have certainly seen women built like that. And the inquisition doesn’t cover breast reduction surgery.

I agree on the chainsword though. And I would likely leave the back pack off.

For me, it's not so much her bosom as the choice of top. However, on an Inquisitor, who may need to mingle at a cocktail party and flame some mutants in the same evening it's less egregious than say, a commissar dressed like that for battle.

I wonder if there is some status value in Inquisition over who wore the best battle prom dress.

Excellent response to criticism

Thats an actually very mature way of handling some of the harsh criticism that has been made here!
Yeah, for a first, this was very, very good.

Yea, I don't get it. Turn on the TV or look at just about any fitness Instagram. This is high fantasy in space anyway, strange to me that a guy can be chiselled from granite with 2% body fat and no shirt carrying a 20lb gun in an impossible pose yet this is somehow when they have an issue... Nobody wants a flabby action hero and nobody wants tits that hit the floor. And rrippling muscular male physique IS objectification before someone trys moving the post.
