Way I figure it, it’s the quickest way to get a more rounded gaming experience.
And for those who drop out the entire run, it’s enough of a collection to expand upon later? Automatically Appended Next Post: In terms of the tools?
Clippers are good. Previous pair long past being springy, so nice to have some new ones, spesh as they’re freebies. Comfortable to hold, decent point for GW’s infamous (if infrequent) odd positioning of sprue channels. (Dunno the technical name!)
Mould line remover is a bit dainty for me, but then I’ve got massive strangler’s hands. I imagine it’s probably a more deft tool in the hands of a kid. Either way, it still does the job, but I swapped out to my full sized one pretty quickly. That being said, being all small and dainty, it’s not a bad backup to held in your travelling kit. Certainly should you be in the unfortunate position of having to clean up a broken model before regluing, it’ll be up to the task.
Glue is glue is glue. It’s standard GW Polycement, something I’ve never really had problems with, barring a poor batch circa 2010 which dried crystallised, knackering a good portion of my models.

Looking at the ML remover, it seems like it will be great for getting into awkward middle areas etc, though yeah I think hard to hold when using and I have regular hands unlike you
I just use a knife moved backwards over them normally, so will continue with that and have this for intricate details etc.
Definitely a good idea for a travel kit.
Happy with more clippers and glue.
On issue 3; yes it has close combat.
Issue 4 I cant quite see what it says from the picture..

Try accessing the site from a laptop/ desktop.
The option for inputting payment details didn't seem available when I tried it from either my phone or tablet but was there on my PC.

Just got my 1st delivery too
Really impressed with the DG minis and looking forward to the rest of the range, a bit disappointed that the mold line remover is a unbranded Citadel one, unlike the one shown and the clippers handles are slightly shorter than the older GW clippers with silver tipped handles that i use at mo but should be ok once im used to the new ones.

The little metal tool included won't be much use as a mold line remover imo. I use one of these , and even then I have to regularly switch blades. So don't worry, you aren't missing much there.

Does anyone know if the "Starter" brush is indicative of GW brush quality these days? I haven't used a GW brush in decades and I'm looking forward to testing this, but the "Starter" brand leads me to believe it's not a great brush (for reference I use W&N Cirrus, for anyone familiar with those, though I doubt there will be as they seem increasingly rare these days).

Thanks. I've tried R&Co, I found their brushes to be a lot less springy than I like. I use these https://www.revell.de/en/products/colors-accessories/accessories/painta-luxus.html as cheapies. Marten hair, very good (as good as Kolinsky imo). And it seems that Cirrus are still around, so I suppose I'll be continuing with that as my primary brush.

I just use my normal hobby blade for all mould line work, but each blade lasts ages, howcome you have to switch them so often?
Mine did ping out but I saw it as I’d been reading on here that people had dropped theirs.

I dunno I suppose I'm a bit OCD when it comes to cleaning mold. You can tell when a blade loses its edge, same with a razor. I just prefer them to be ultra sharp. They're really cheap so it's not a big deal. I've just built two 40K knights, got through I think three blades (one to cut all the sprues and the other two for the lines). I go over pretty much every edge and join even if there's no immediately visible mold.

I find a blunter blade easier for removing them
It doesn’t just cut in to the detail that way.
Do you face the blade away from the model when you are removing? Automatically Appended Next Post: I wonder if they’ll cover the ML tool in the magazine thinking on it. It’s not in 1 or 2 is it?

Err, now that I think about it, I suppose my usual pattern is to hold the blade at a 45% angle to the plastic surface, and scrape away from me. But sometimes I "cut" instead of scrape (so the cut position would be roughly the mirror of the scrape position), depending on what I'm removing and what I'm removing it from.

The exact list, with pricing too, is on page 18, or else 17 I forget which now.
For cost effectiveness and such.

Yeah mines the same, though I don’t often do the ‘cut’ angle unless it’s a tricky piece etc.
Not sure where this method came from, no one ever taught me, and I don’t remember seeing it.
Just always done it that way

You mean there's an exact list of what's coming in what issue, or just a list of everything they're going to include over the course of the whole thing?

So there will be no starting collection for the DG. Instead they release the 15 pound characters in the magazin? And even a Repulsor? For a part of the original price? Seems odd.
Also can somebody please post the poster with all the contents? Thank you for the effort.
