Flinty wrote: Hmm... will the repulsor come in a single issue or is it likely to be split?
guessing it will be split, how many frames does it come on?
subscribers will likely get it in one delivery if its four or fewer frames
Can't see it being one issue, unless by that time ordering extras is either "subscribers only" or not possible (of one issue with one frame goes "out of stock" immediately)
Looks like 3 frames, but the hull is split between 2. I wonder if it would stay together enough usingjl just one frame at a time. The 3rd frame looks like turret and weapons so I can see that being left for the week later. £50 down to £16 seems a bit much though so I guess it will be split between 3 weeks just on cost grounds.
Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

likely you either get instructions on building a sub assembly or two with the first part, or get the instructions in three parts saying to wait until you have all three to actually start
The new video in warhammer TV reveals the issues 13 (pot of mechanicus standard grey and large dry brush) & 14 (terrain: one container, three barrels and two boxes)!

WOW a massive 21p saving on retail on #13!,
#14 sounds like 1/3 of the Munitorum Armoured Containers set.

I received one copy of issue 8 from Hachette when I’d ordered two. Does anyone know if I should be concerned or is it normal that they ship separately? No documentation, invoice, or note on the shipping label to indicate number of shipments.
Yeah. You’ll likely get the other later when they can fulfill properly.
But better you at least get one for now than nothing for an extra two weeks or whatnot.
Yeah some you’ll save more than others.
It’s not what the magazine is about. Some may. It save at all (heaven forbid also have nothing in one or teo), just think how people are gonna get when those ones come round. You have to remember it’s a Partworks, not a discount place.
Looking at the contents, it looks like we'll be getting the full contents of Dark imperium, I wonder if they'll just be sending it out in batches of sprue rather than the lot at once.
Yeah for sure. Remember you can buy individually issues so they will never put too much in one.
You’ll get 10 Pox and 1 Marine one issue for instance.
Then that again later. Then same for all the other sprues, I can’t remember what’s on each at the mo
A few observations from the binder:
The first ten issues fill about half of it. So it’s probably four total to hold the set. Remember you have to pay for additional ones.
Having said that, it does seem like there’s no reason whatsoever to keep any of the build guides around once you have built your stuff, so that will save some space. Likewise the painting tutorials are of limited use at the moment, even for those new to the hobby, as once you have more paints they’re not great guides. It’s possible this will change at some point and we will start to get more full paint guides.
The Play section has four headings: tutorial, rules, space marines, death guard. Everything we have had so far is in the tutorial section. This suggests we should be seeing a version of the full rules and bits from the codexes at some point in the future.
I’m actually quite intrigued to see how the magazine pivots from being very introductory to more advanced.

Subject: Re:Warhammer 40,000 Conquest, that'll be why they were advertising for part work staff then.

I'm not holding my breath. If the photo of all the paints on the poster from issue 1 is accurate, the only blue you'll get is Macragge Blue, four times. No highlight colours, and the only washes seem to be Nuln Oil, Seraphim Sepia and Agrax Earthshade.

I'd suspect the image is wrong and is just to show the number of paints you'll get, rather than the actual colours, as otherwise the paint guides will have almost reached as complex as they're going to get! With BGIME the paint guides got reasonably complex by the end, at least on a par with the current Paint Splatter type guides in WD if not more complex, so I'd expect something similar here.

The advantage BGiME had was that they advocated going out and buying more paints. It was nice how they progressed the level of painting across the issues.
Conquest's guides appear to be based around a person who only has the paints issued so far and has no intention of visiting any other hobby or GW store to buy more. Like GW setting themselves up as the only store you need for the GW hobby, Hachette is saying that all you need is their magazine.
I'm a fan by the way. If it wasn't for Conquest I would never have owned a Primaris Librarian and I'm definitely looking forward to my £7.99 Apothecary as I think that is a fantastic model.
Edit: Issue 10 up on Hachette. Don't know if it's always been like this, but the maximum order on Hachette for issue 10 is 2. Guess I'll try and grab the third one from Asda in the morning.
Gonna grab a full set I think. Nice little buff to my Dark Imperium DG force.
