Subject: Custodes, single man units?

As per the lore, Custodes fight individually, it would be cool being able to have single Custodes acting as a unit. Of course to stop them being OP with objectives you can make it that 2 or 3 of the single units have to take the objective for them to get a victory point. As well for CP they act as single units for game purposes but for detachments they only count as units for every 'lowest unit model count' for creating slots for battle detachments What's peoples opinion?

They already have a stratagem that does this.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."
This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

You can take an Aux detachment with an understrength unit.

Yes, but that's only for one unit out of like 5. This should have been readily available as a stratagem for every single unit in the custodes codex.

Given that it's a 2CP Stratagem in a CP-starved army that doesn't work on the turn you deepstrike (read: you don't really get to use it) I tend to regard Unleash the Lions as a joke that has little to no bearing on the actual game.
If you want to give Custodes single-model units just go ahead and do it, the tradeoffs in the stratagem are steep enough to render it pointless.

One statagem for one unit that doesn't really work.
