Some Spaces Wolves release rumors from a solid source

PJ1933 - B&C

I am 99% sure that the SW codex will be pre order 25th August, no confirmation on any SW kits coming. Same weekend will see Hobbit/LotR battle of Pelannor fields box game up for pre order. No I will not be revealing where this came from but it’s not from BoLs or FLGS or any of the usual rumour mongers.

Does someone remember where that Space Wolves vs Orks campaign boxed set rumor came from a few months ago?

We'll find out soon enough eh.

Primaris Wolves riding Primarithunderwolves? A Redemptor with four synonyms for murder in its name? A whole fleet of Sleighspeeders? The possibilities are certainly "exciting"

Seriously though, are we expecting this to be a big deal release or more like the previous sub-Marine 'dexes with just a Primaris accessory sprue bundled in with the big boys?

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?

Listen up boyz, there is an amazin box set coming with Orks and SW. I can promise you this will happen because I am currently on hiatus from the game. It's bound to happen, because I won't be able to enjoy it. That's how my universe works.

Nothing but a Primaris Murdermammoth - 3 variants. One comes with rapid fire tusks, the other has assault tusks and the last has heavy tusks.

The New Space Wolves PrimarICE Fangwolfinoris deals mortal wounds on every re-roll of it's Frostidor Cannon and has a powerful aura ability granting all PRIMARICE keyword units within it's 6" howling range the ability to automatically win the game if the controlling player gets first turn!

In other news we're bringing back Formations for everyone's favorite faction the Space Wolves!

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Wolves don't need any new models unlike many factions so just Wolfy Wolf Primaris is likely as they did that for all sub Marine factions with their own Codexes and previosuly they have been drowned in increasingly silly wolf models.

But its Wolves so who knows

Primaris Murdermammoth
- missing at least one "Wolf" - More likely a Wolfmoth or a Great Fanged Murder Mamwolf

I heard a rumour about Primaris BIKERS this year. They might be released alongside SW.

From my usual sometimes correct info leaker
I actually heard this a few weeks ago but didn't want to make a new topic about it. I thought I'd mention it seeing as the conversation turned to Primaris and potential new units.

All I was told is that a Primaris biker unit would likely be released this year. I wasn't even given details if it would be jetbikes or not, but I expect so as they have the anti grav thing going on.

I really hope this is true!

When the edition was new the GW Facebook guys said in some random reply something along the lines: "Wouldn't it be cool if there were new Space Marine bikes?" It struck me as unusual, and since then I've suspected that release of new bikes is near.

I am gonna be real disappointed if bigly space marines get jetbikes instead of ridiculous Tonka-tired goofbikes in the grand tradition of space marine bikery.

I'm sure the inevitable hilarious weapon loadout will make up for it. They'll be modeled with the driver not steering at all and holding a lascannon in each hand and wearing a special helmet with two lasguns poking out the nostrils.

Of course it will be jetbikes, nothing but the best(and supposedly mostly gone from this ostensibly dark-age setting...) for Cawly Sue's Adeptus Snowflakeius Marines.

Anything on Leman Russ? Is it still just hoping for him because we're overdue another Primarch and why else hold back the last Marine codex so long, or has there been any actual rumor on him in the meantime?

It'll be interesting to see if Space Wolf Primaris get more than an upgrade sprue with shoulder pads. With how wolfed up everything is these days, naked Primaris look out of place in a Space Wolf army (at least one assembled with the latest wolf kits).

Fingers crossed for more hover longboats and a Krakenwolf, too.

Nehekhara lives! Sort of!

Case in point.

There's a reason 40K moved on from Rogue Trader, sadly the people working at GW seem to have forgotten that.

HERE. COMES. RUSS!!!!!!!

It makes sense to delay the Space Wolves Codex for the introduction of Russ. Finally the Imperials receive a second primarch, making it 2 for 2 in the primarchs department.

Rogue Trader was awesome. The new fluff is obviously dumb as feth, but I'm just going to ignore it and enjoy the great new models instead.

even if you dislike the old stuff, well the basic ideas can be mined for some good stuff, BTW to add fuel to this, I was at my local GW today and told EVERY Space Wolf kit has gone "last chance to buy"
This suggests a codex soon likely with a complete reboxing of everything to add the 8th edition rules,I doubt we'll see many new kits though, although I kinda hope we see a new Longfang kit since that one dissappered awhile back

I would be very surprised if we do not see a new Long Fang kit rocking a Helfrost weapon of some kind.

thats my hope, on the other hand given Primaris Marines I'm not expecting many if any, new old marine kits. If a new Longfang kit comes out we can safely say that word of the demise of old school marines was much exaggerated and that GW clearly intends both to co-exist for the forseeable future.

Ehhh...

Long Fangs(and Skyclaws) were using older stock to begin with. They contained the previous iteration of Assault and Devastator kits. It's possible they've had kits ready to go for awhile but just didn't release them.

Agreed. I’m in great fear of some sort of werewolf primarch monster nonsense

Not looking forward to Russ and TWC stupidity in every Imperial army from now until forever. And you know he will have exactly 9 wounds (with a LOS to fenrisian wolves or something) and can auto kill a Magnus or Morty just because.

The only way the return of Russ would not be similarly super lame like the return of Guilliman was, if he would return as some sort of disgusting mutated monster, gripping to his last and rapidly diminishing shreds of sanity.

Also Agreed. I can't say it enough. I'd rather never have a Russ model, than a stupid Wolf Wolf mcWulfen Russ.

Yeah, probably. Whilst I don't want loyalist Primarchs being brought back at all, I really don't think there is any point in doing so if you're just basically porting their HH versions into 40K. 40K versions need to be different and preferably grimdarkified so that they won't bring any unneeded excess hope. This is why Daemon Primarchs work, they're radically different from their HH versions. Though I understand that some people are very attached to these characters and don't want them to be changed. But that is why it probably is the best if they just stay in HH where they belong.

Hopefully the next edition they will fix the issues everyone has with the Primaris integration into the space marines.

I posted on another thread but hopefully the wolves will have grey hunter intercessors instead of this tacked on unit charts.

Russ will not return.

Maybe some other character might return like the Old Wolf from ashes of prospero. (hopefully). But we will not see the return of Russ for sometime. Hopefully I want to see an odin like version of Leman Russ, not wolf wolf

I want better integration and more naturalized version of the Primaris not whatever it is going on right now with the primaris.
