Good stuff SirDonlad.

Need to get my finger out and paint me some more Titans. Got a bunch of Reavers and a Warlord partially painted.

Absolutely! The reference image does say that it is showing the maniple "deployed for the loyalist assault on Isstvan 5" though

I'll be keeping an eye out here for when you're done with your god-engines!
Fully appreciating how much stuff there is to do with these models - they really went to town with keeping the detail high on these!

Makes me need to give a respectful nod of kudos to winterdyne - always serving up glorious minis that i spend waaaay too much time staring at

A lot of the time i don't feel able to comment on the minis i see in here - the work is that nice!

Assembled the upper body of a new reaver, and installed the 5x2mm magnets into the three sockets.

Run into a spot of bother as I need more magnets for the weapons! Thankfully I got spares already magnetized from a previous reaver so it can wait...

Running out of plastic glue too...

Assembled the head for the new reaver and attached it to the upper body. Its the one with the tusks and surprisingly was able to build as it was. The other kit has one where you ideally have to paint the eyes first before attaching the helmet, but no worries here at all - slap it together and paint it. Happy days.

I suppose I should get off my arse and paint some knights....

Currently working on 3D kitbashing a Phantom titan and weapon options for the revenant, as well as some new eldar titan marks for added variety.

My first new eldar titan class, the Wight support titan.

This is slightly larger than a revanant and more heavily armoured. They mount a single large shoulder weapon system rather than arm weapons. The arms have a set of linked defence weapons.

This is a bash of a revenant, and wraithknight stl.

At some point I'll try printing it in resin.

? Eldar have always been anime. People who say the tau are 'the' anime faction haven't watched enough anime...

This is really just a revenant titan sans jump jets and some extra detail from the wraithknight to bulk it out.

While pretty, I have to say the shoulder mounted gun doesn't mesh with the general eldar vibe at all on titanic scale.

It's ungainly and inelegant, with a gun that would be better suited on a super heavy hover tank. If it's meant to work more like a long range marksman against titanic targets and not as a sleek runner that Eldar titans traditionally are, I'd maybe add some design cues that make it look heavier and more stable, like Dark Reapers compared to Banshees.

I have to agree, it looks rather awkward to me.
Perhaps a gun just held in two hands like a rifle/other gun would look better.

I mean, wraithlords can carry two heavy weapons on their shoulders, I don't really see how titanic scale changes the visual aesthetic at all. The gun is too large to be carried in the hands and is instead mounted on the torso for maximum support.

If you compare the model's legs to a FW revenant or phantom, you'll see that they're far more heavily bulked out to represent exactly that concept of stabilisation.

I had planned on doing a version of the phantom doing this as a separate design, but wanted to reinforce the concept of a support gunplatform titan with this one.

It's the size disparity between the gun and the torso that makes it look so awkward imo, not necessarily the fact that it's shoulder mounted.
The shoulder weapons mounted by Wraithlords aren't that long or large.
It's by no means bad. It's just a little off to me.

The pose isn't doing it any favours. If you do something else with the right arm and point the gun off at a different angle instead of the right angle to the straight-up posture I think it'd look a lot better.

Please bear in mind that it has also been photographed from below and at an odd angle to distort the silhouette as much as possible because mystery. They don’t want to lessen the impact of the Preview by using good angles for the pre-Preview…

You did notice we were talking about the Eldar model, not the upcoming new titan ?

Anyway, back to the Wraithlord analogy, it's different exactly because their shoulder mounts aren't assisted by hand like this one. Wraiths with shoulder guns still have their hands free to do other things. Hauling a huge log on your shoulder looks brutish and feels like it takes effort, which is so mon'keigh.

Reaver assembled and undercoated, ready for action.

What comes next depends on what is revealed tomorrow afternoon. While the new titan might be too large for small games, I'm hoping that an accompanying book will offer new options for building a force.

So wish they would revisit the classic, early 90s warhounds even as an upgrade kit for the existing hound.

They could repurpose the older style spikey pill body with side weapon mounts for the Rapier scout titan, maybe with a few mods it could dual purpose with the Slaaneshi titan as well.

Would love to see that.

Not a fan of Slaanesh but I do admire the recent Keeper of Secrets, and would be up for a project to capture the look and feel of that model in a chaos titan. Maybe kitbashed with the Fane of Slaanesh kit?

Progress report:

6 Warhounds assembled since last week.
All Titans for Legio Praesagius and Legio Suturvora have now been assembled (main body and main weapons only, carapace stays on sprues for painting and alt weapons will be done later).
6 Warhounds to assemble for Legio Audax (work for this week, I started yesterday).

And after that, Knights...

And of course I need to find room in my shelf for some Warmaster Titans...

Funny story, I felt a bit left out of the extreme value of the new starter when my friend was ordering his so I had him order one for me too. I think 4 Warhounds is a thing but what about 4 Reavers?
