Thx mate ... main reason I wanted to paint something non-space marine/non-custodes again. To work with different colors and combinations ...

Glorious work Fireball, these are amongst the best painted ASOIAF miniatures that I have seen. I especially like your take on the Bolton's and the blue Grey's of the Stark's. Have you got any Baratheon's lined up?

Thx for the praise. Appreciate it! I have received the starter set of the Baratheons so there is plenty of stuff to be painted. But I am not too eager tbh as painting yellow is not my strong suit. I guess I will try out contrast paints for the first time but I have not made a final decision on that.

Your ASOIAF models look great! Very nice painting. I like the Lannister soldiers especially, they're like medieval Romans.

I am the same on yellow so am going the Renly route... Green for the win

Thx mate, I enjoy painting the Lannister troops the most because painting red feels natural to me and the color really pops in those pictures

Yeah I just checked if this green thing was mentioned in the books and obviously it is (regarding his banner - green with a golden stag). But I just have to paint some yellow ones as well. Christmas vacation is coming up so I think I will be getting some stuff done :-)

Great use of a fitting natural palette there. I really appreciate your bold and well outlined style, I appreciate it a lot more than the more blended into each other near high art style that seems to be in fashion at the moment. Am now waiting for you to tackle Neutral Heroes: 2 so I can see your take on the new, updated Brienne of Tarth miniature.

Thx very much ... it took me a long time to improve my "bold" style with strong highlights. I cannot wait to get my hands on the Brienne model ... it looks great. Sadly the Neutral Heroes 2 box is not available to me yet.
And when painting Walder Frey I will curse the whole time ... I hate him so much

Really fantastic work on all of these. A great line of minis when done so well as this. And interesting to see the contrast paints in action as well

Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the praise, really appreciated. Contrast paints really helped me to paint yellow. I have not tried any other colors of the range though.
