Are you in the US or NZ? - You're using NZD for GW prices but USD for Wayland.

Just be warned--I'm almost positive those leafy trees use all the leaves from their own kit, and all the leaves from the leafless trees as well. I've never seen a single set of those trees looking that leafy. So don't plan on getting a kit where all the trees can look like that.

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep that in mind.

This is definitely the case. I have several of these trees and to make them this bushy you need to use 'two trees worth of leaves' on one tree.

I like the terrain kits although I really wish GW would just make some actual BUILDINGS! All ruins and bits and bobs.

Is it me or is the imperials sector a worse deal then just getting the kill team box set which has a more buildings.

Thank you, that is what I was missing. It must of defaulted when I cleared my cookies and cache the other day. It is a little bit better but still better at Wayland. I think Warstore and MM only go to 20% as well which still runs $20-40+ more than UK (but if I recall that has always been the case). I don't normally buy GW stuff but some of their terrain is multi-functional and kits have been looking good.

Columbus, Oh

where do you see these pre-orders? I am looking at the preorder stuff on the US GW site, and all I am seeing is OOORRRKKS

EDIT - I have now found them under terrain for the various settings.. not under "pre-Order" itself..

Thanks. Two for one doesn't seem so bad. I think I can work with that (if my funds aren't funneled into a different bundle instead - heh!)

Seems GW has an issue there. Pre-orders show fine if you click on the banner with the terrain bundles, but not if you try just the pre-order checkbox.

They don't deliver those to the US anyways, I was just using them for comparison as pricing isn't up on WarStore and MM yet. Although the couple times I have ordered from Wayland, I haven't had any issues, other than it has taken longer (extra 2-3 weeks) compared to other places. The other issue I had was with how they identify stock status, which I now know better about so won't mistake something that is actually in stock vs they order is available.

I've only had on order fail (well actually its sort of just in limbo) and that was on a limited production item that ran of stock (and I've sort of left resolution on hold on the offchance that Warcradle find another nice Russian Ship from Dystopian Wars to cast up in resin)

Otherwise Wayland can be slow, but I've never had an order from them fail. They've also sped up a fair bit since their earlier days and their website is accurate when it comes to what they hold in stock now (earlier it was a bit fuzzy what was in and out of stock). So I'd say they've improved a lot. Though I've never ordered internationally from them (another thread somewhere was mentioning that htey often use Royal Mail for overseas orders and that Royal Mail has issues with the delivery service overseas in terms of reliability though Wayland had resolved those matters for them).

In short I trust Wayland and have no issue ordering from them, but if I want something fast they are not who I'd turn to (I'd likely use Firestorm games instead). That said the order I placed today with Wayland has been posted today too so I can't look down my nose too much at them.

I just finished putting together 2 boxes of Kill Team terrain (on to basing and painting!) and from each Kill Team box you'll get 1 large sized 2 story building and 1 small, plus several low wall ruins. For example, the first box I followed instructions, the second box I made a 3 story building and a small 2 story plus 4 ruin segments.

The combo in Sector Imperialis will make 3 good sized 2 story buildings (basically it's 3x Administratum plus a sprue of full sized walls), and depending on how you use the pieces, possibly 1-2 smaller 2 story buildings and some left-over low walls.

Kill Team is definitely a better value overall, given you're getting 20 minis, a rulebook, etcetera. It's also got some sprues the Sector Imperialis doesn't (wide arch and free columns)

However, if you just want terrain, there's more in the Sector Imperialis box for the same money. From experience, the extra full wall segments will be immensely helpful if you want to make larger buildings or 3 story structures.

Also, Kill Team may be out of stock for a while. It's OOP on the GW store (Canada) and may be harder to find in the near future.

Does anyone know a US retailer the gives 20% preorder discounts? And ships. This isn’t a box I want to spend $130 on st my local store.

Everything I've seen is a 15% discount (Miniature Market, The War Store, Game Nerdz, Amazon after a few weeks). Kill Team starter set was $130 and just about everywhere had it for $110.50.

Same add coolstuff and FLG to that list as well. Just all this talk of wayland games made me think I’m missing something.
Guess minature market it is 15% off and 1% store rewards and free shipping. Is that best deal I see.

I see the bundles are up on triple helix. Does anybody have any experience with these guys? 25% off looks good. Site is easy to navigate. (I have been burnt by Wayland games before)

Anyone know of any "freight forwarding" services in the UK? Could be the workaround to GWs regional sales policies. Ecen with a 25% employee discount from my FLGS id imagine it would still be cheaper to order from the UK.

Dark Sphere do 25% off GW and I’ve had nothing but good experiences with them. I’ve not used triple helix, but from what I’ve read they don’t actually hold the stock, they order it from the supplier when you place an order, so it takes longer to arrive. With Dark Sphere there’s been one time when I didn’t receive a preorder on the release day, and that was because GW didn’t deliver all of the preorders on time.

Dark Sphere's problem is that if you cannot collect in store then they have no free shipping offer. Triple Helix onky order what people order and again charge postage. My favourite/reliable retailers are Asgard Games for preorders - they offer free shipping on £80 or over on the majority of items and the first weekend items are usually 20-25% off, Goblin Gaming - 20% off and free shipping over £80 plus loyalty points and Element Games who are 15-20% off and good for available now items as you nearly always get stuff next day if ordered before 3pm.

None of these have let me down on a variety of stuff through the years with the exception of the Titanicus GME disaster which hit most retailers.

I’ve had good experience with Element Games and the Outpost who both do 20% off and free shipping over £80, but I find 25% off more than outweighs the £3 shipping from Dark Sphere anyway.

Confirmation on the rest of the battleforce boxes from Valrak on B&C http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350864-10-battleforces/page-5. Supposedly the IF set comes with a new upgrade sprue. Curious to see what is on it beyond the usual shoulder pads.

Man those are some lame ass army deals. Bad seller units everywhere, as is tradition, and lots of overlap with Start Collecting.

Seraphon looks nice, but I already have all that stuff. Meh. Had money put aside for 3 boxes and looks like I'm not buying any.

Bit annoyed there’s only 4 AoS boxes because there’s 2 Primaris ones. Fairly tempted by Death Guard and maybe DoK though.

I'm happy to see Imperial Fists, but those had better be some good upgrade sprues because the other Primaris force is a better deal.

Also nice to see the enginseer instead of the TPD in the Ad Mech box. Pretty sure I have about 8 TPD's already.

I don't imagine it'll be different to any of the other Primaris upgrade sprues. 5 shoulder pads, 3 bigger shoulder pads, a few heads and a weapon or two plus some other random gubbinz.
