I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but the new Sector Imperialis: Imperial Sector kit contains a new wall section the earlier kits don't have.

The Sector Imperialis "exclusive" section contains a wall section which is 3 bays (or units) wide, with a circular fan vent in the middle. The bays on either side may look like all the other arched window sections, but on either side the narrow, arched niches hold stacks of skulls, rather than slat vents. Also the right bay has an unique air-condition(?) unit, not seen on any of the other kits.

On photos showing the interior of the ruin, you can also see that the columns are hollow.

I wouldn't know where to start looking for information on past Christmas bundles, but it's no different than releasing a generic Marine bundle alongside a Space Wolves one, for instance. Except that this time both use the same book for their rules.

I wouldn't read too much into it, to be honest. "Moar Marines" isn't uncharacteristic for GW, after all.

Something to consider if you don't try to make it more sinister than it actually is, GW might want to offer the Imperial Fists box to introduce Imperial Fists upgrade sprues (if that rumor is true), something completely new and thus a selling point unto itself, and a better value generic Marine box for people who might buy but don't want a chapter specific sprue eating up some of the discount and making it a worse deal. It might actually be a customer friendly decision by GW.

As always they put low selling models for a discount (they are good from an economy view ) not the most competitive ones in tournament meta.

Also i must be paranoid but some of the guardian poses strick me as odd like they shouldn't be doable with current guardians box or it's just the lust for brand new plastic Eldar blinding me.

Yes and no - the Daughters of Khaine has all good stuff (then again they don't really have bad choices). I think its more that GW doesn't even look at the meta what so ever when they make these. They more likely look at what sells, what doesn't sell and also what looks "cool". Considering that experienced players are likely not the prime target for these bundles; a market yes, but their clear focus is people who are new to an army/game or those who have got a bit but not a huge amount yet.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say that GW wants an impressive centerpiece in these boxes regardless of their in-game value.

As such I think Eldar get a good deal compared to Necrons and Marines. If Eldar got an equivalent model, the box would probably include a Fire Prism. Instead they get a super heavy Knight.

Which eats pretty much all discount away though...fire prism would likely be actually better even for same price

That's weird. I was playing with one just the other day and I've seen several other people playing with them over the last few weeks.

It is pretty damn bad compared to Imperial Knights. Probably still usable in casual games, but it could really use a buff, or failing that, a point cut.

The Eldar box is just more twisting of the knife. Every combo box or battleforce showcases the lack of Eldar plastic kits, and just serves to highlight all the kits we're missing in plastic. I don't mind too much since my army is more or less complete, but it's just...sad.

Looking at the Japenese site, these things are double the cost of a Start Collecting box. But even at that, they are excellent value. I will be really tempted to get the Lizardmen one - I do not need a second carnasaur but the rest of it has no overlap and the kit is dual build anyway.

You do know don't you there's plenty of levels between brokeness and current worthless crap? But of course non eldars aren't happy until eldars are nerfed to death for past crimes claiming it's fair

well since Marines can make anything up to something like 50% of GW totals sales it kinda makes sense for there to be a heavier focus on them in the Christmas Sales.

Ok...you must’ve missed my point. Has there ever been a double release for any one faction at any point in the past, Marines included?

That 50% figure, which has been thrown around forever, may be true, but If it is it’s not necessarily more true this year than in years previous. So, with that in mind, why two Primaris boxes which would compete with each other and thus cannibalize sales from each other when you could release a completely different faction box and move product from another faction.

Especially when pretty much all of the models in the Imperial Fists box can be had as easy to build. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

Wish that admech one had a dragoon or two instead of an Onager. With the rule of the 3 I'm about maxed out on Onagers and can't use any more. It really sucks too because they used to come in squadrons but some numbskull forgot to give us that option in 8th edition. As it sits I probably still save money with the bundle but it makes it a little less appealing.

At least it's a decent selection of units. Ruststalkers aren't super good but the rest of the models are something every admech player can use in their average list.

If other rumours around Primaris and lacklustre sales are true, then it could be that. This brings almost the entire Primaris range out in two discount boxes.

Maybe the IF one is an experiment in how much they can milk a new upgrade sprue.

I couldn't tell from the picture if it was there or not, so I didn't include the costs for it. This would be the first battleforce, to my knowledge, to include a product that wasn't previously released. It would also need 3 upgrade sprues to cover all the models in there, resulting in a $37.5 - $45 increase to the cost, bringing it up to $282.5 - $290.

EDIT: Corrected math.

Anyone worked out what's in the admech battleforce?

And do we have any idea of uk prices?

AdMech Battleforce is:
A set of 2 Kastelan Robots(which means Datasmith as well since it's in the box)
A set of 10 Skitarii(builds Rangers or Vanguard--10 models)
A set of 5 Sicarian(builds Infiltrators or Ruststalkers)
A Techpriest Enginseer model
An Onager Dunecrawler

No confirmation, but the fact it’s just a box of Primaris Marines when there’s already another one of Primaris means it’s incredibly likely. There’s also about a £25 retail price difference on the models combined between the two Primaris boxes, and upgrade sprues have been going for around £8, and this box would need 3....

They were either free or almost free (like 2.5£ tops) in literally every single SM box deal in last 3-4 years. I am shocked how garbage deal IF list is, least number of models despite having one of the least impressive centrepieces (that, to make it even worse, it's also available for cheap as ETB or from people partitioning T&C). This is why I disbelieved the leaked list, and I still sincerely hope this is some kind of mistake (the photo and number on the box can't lie, though)

The BA and DA have Primaris boxes with there upgrade sprue included. But the Ultras and SW(outside of Tooth and Claw) don't. So if the sprue is real that would probably mean the IF are in the same position.

Basically take USA prices and multiply by either .60 or .70 and that is UK prices or take 30-40% off of USA prices.

What a bizarre post.

Traditionally, battleforces cost £100.

Not only these, when DW first dropped their sprues were almost free (including insane deal of 3 whole sprues with 5 terminators). Granted, most recent DW release had sprues for full price in middle finger gesture but I expected new IF to follow first, not second example.

Also, last Holiday, the troop kit + vehicle sets had free upgrade sprue for all kinds of SM, SW included, and even for GSC, sooo...

It is kind of a shame that the Imperial Fists box doesn't include the Power Fist and Plasma Pistol Captain. It would be kind of appropriate. Oh well.

Well, this is one of the few times that the holiday bundles just haven't done it for me. I'm only interested in the Derelict Factorum and then only for the ruined wall sprue.

My wallet is grateful, though.
