Fair point on the saber, and sure, 'paint it red' is always a solid approach

You'll also want the model to have wings for in-game purposes, so that's another plus to the LOM.

Honestly, at first i wanted something herold sized and actually still would prefer something smaller, considering Meinel is basically just human.
But, and there's the kicker, there ain't no decent herold alternatives out there. Or sofar i am just to stupid to find.

Tested a new add on to my common scheme and painting style:

I need to redo some parts thou, faces and some places were i failed at drybrushing.

I'd say i like the new style.

Yeah they look pretty cool, nice little conversions to get them to all have lasguns. Proper big chains on one of them! . The dry brushing also works well as a guide for layering highlights too if you’re feeling adventurous!

Go on, give it a try! I thought the same, but it’s fun to try. As your doing BSF check out Midwinter minis, they have a great speed painting this on YouTube, the embellishments they add at the end are easy to follow highlighting guides. These latest Traitor Guard would be good ones to start with!

First one, one is supposed to be a letter, the other slight kitbash to be an musician.

Now on to the blackening and start for the magma:








Next step, white, then fluorescent, then touch up the brass, then drybrush black again.

Then finished, with the brass Phalanx, run as KT daemons.
Going to use the shieldoes as plague, the snake callers as Horrors and the rest as letters, one with horn.

Next step, finding more of these and planning for 2 Heralds to run them as a propper battalion.

So, opinions, worthy to be daemons?

I believe it Look like the molten, mindless warriors you intended them to be

SO, i will probably base them, have an idea, last time i tried that though i destroyed more models due to beeing absolutely catastrophically at doing so (read unlucky and untalented.)

As for my opinion torwards the splintered fang i'd give it an 8/10

10/10 for sculpting, they ARE really nice.
-1 for momnopose, and -1 for bad layout, f.e. the net is fixed on multiple parts to the sprue, making it a pain to be propperly put out of the sprue.

Same with darts on the snakecallers snakes.

Further, I wanted more shields.

Still, worth it overall imo, that said, now i need to get myself some herolds, etc in that style or make some herolds, which would bring me to greenstuff town, which i also suck at majorly

I distinctly remembered i'd still have Havoc squad to paint.

aye but not only that but when the places are not glowing they get darker like burnt.

Took me some time to do it but is really simple.

Either possessed or chosen.

and phyrax with boltgun also possessed version in the future.

I reread the Daemonkin booklet , especially on the formation of khonrate Daemonkin, which made me think, that chosen would technically most likely make up Khornate Daemonkin, and it just so happens that i still had bases and old chosen left.

Also, considering that fighting literally would anyways trun you into either spawn, gibbs,a daemonprince or possessed over time due to that if you are khornate then why not make a possessed Phyrax and his 8 buddies Also the cloaks and Phyrax need some work, anyone an Idea on the fur of Phyrax v3.0?
