*sigh* I have a $40 Reaper order I'd love to make, but it requires three of the Bones ogres to be in stock all at the same time. This has not occurred in over six months.

Go to eBay and hit up Pippd ---- excellent store, gets stock regularly and has a nice discount, free shipping over $35. I've been buying up loads of Reaper stuff from them lately.

This month's free Bones Black miniature of the month is finally up.

Reaper typically has an October promotion, so if this month's miniature isn't a must-have, wait for October.

I looked through the New Releases, and noticed that some Bones IV miniatures are for sale, some using Bones Black. Backers got the older Bones white material. The MSRP of the Bones miniatures in the store are about 3x that of the KS. So for the upcoming Bones V, if you only want a few miniatures, retail will still work. But if you want a bulk purchase, KS will still be better, depending on shipping.

Bit of a correction - While the Core set was in the white Bones material for Bones IV, the expansions were in Bones Black - All the ones shown as New Releases for June were in Black for the KS. (And I have all of them. Dreadmere was my favorite for Bones IV, Darkreach was my second favorite - almost all of the new releases come from those two expansions. Darkreach got divied up between my wife and I.)

How do you search Reaper's catalog for Bones IV minis? Do you need to know which ones they are and search by their names?

I play...

Sigh.

Who am I kidding? I only paint these days...

I think they're in descending order so if you search for Bones th most recent will be Bones 4

Ask on the Reaper forums as well. I'd like to know.

As Kid Kyoto said, right now if you look at the most recent releases, they will be from the Bones IV KS. AFAIK, They're being released slowly. If there's a specific model you're looking for, maybe the Reaper forums or this thread will help. Good luck!

I see a good number of them (including quite a few I want) are now up on the website showing "0 available"

Well.

At least there's a placeholder for 'em! I added them to my wishlist, so hopefully Reapermini.com will email me a reminder maybe, when they become available?

It's worth noting that sometimes retailers are even better stocked or faster to list stuff than the main page. I've occasionally found more new releases on eBay sellers than on the Reaper page. Only maybe by a couple of days, but worth glancing around eBay if you have something particular in mind. I don't mean Kickstarter buyers, but actual retail outlets.

That will happen - but move quickly when you get that notification!

I’ve been after the dragon turtle for some time now, and it came back in stock, I got the email notification but by the time I got there...all gone! :’(

Reaper Bones V KS starts tomorrow!

12pm CST or check the Reaper homepage for when it starts in your time zone. : https://www.reapermini.com/

When the KS goes live, if anyone wants to post the KS link and core set image, go for it.

Waves fill up within hours, but, iirc, the shipment time between waves wasn't very long.

I think with Bones IV, you got the miniatures at 1/3 the price of retail. From previous Dakka comments, I get the impression that those waiting for retail waited several weeks after backers received their models (?).

Preview Bones V model, posted by Darsc in the Reaper forums. Actual size smaller. : https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/forum/64-rvc-reaper-video-channel/

It takes Reaper about a year to trickle out all models from a single KS campaign to retail.

Posters on ignore list: 36

40k Potica Edition - 40k patch with reactions, suppression and all that good stuff. Feedback thread here.

Gangs of Nu Ork - Necromunda / Gorkamorka expansion supporting all faction. Feedback thread here

I'm thinking we should do a seperate thread for the Bones KS from the general news and releases thread for Reaper.

Cool with everyone?

I agree 100%. Especially if you go back to doing your monthly Reaper reviews.

Sounds good. Would love to read KK's monthly reviews again!

Also, KK, if you want to take over this thread, that'll work fine, too.

Should've been a "Paddler" instead of a Pounder if we're going full Jasper...

I thought "Dark Dwarf Pounder" was the name of a movie found in your parents' closet.

Anyway, that mini will be awesome once I find a suitable hat.

A chef's hat? 'Aye, laddie! Ye'r about to be tenderized!'

The Auld Grump - funny, it doesn't matter what he's making, it always ends up a pancake....

No Bob. "Dark Dwarf Pounder" was the star of the movie found in your parent's closet.

Ah, so you've seen the movie, then.

Reaper usually has a Black Friday special, so maybe wait until then before placing an order this month.

Usually, it's a discount on an expensive miniature or bust, but, last year, we were fortunate enough that they were clearing out their old HD paint line for their Pathfinder paints.

Where’s that awesome Dragon Turtle from the last KS?

Why can’t I find it online in their store?

They really extend some releases from KSers and sometimes quietly kill stuff that either didn't get a lot of extra orders or had a high failure rate during casting. There's stuff from all 4 that never released and I believe, if I remember correctly, something from bones 2 or 3 only just game out this year.

I'm bummed that they're taking so long to release many of the Bones IV KS stuff to retail. I want that undead boat! I want that tree of despair!

I reached out to 'em, and they said the KS IV stuff isn't yet on their release schedule, so won't come out until next year... And as Monkeysloth notes... Might not ever come out. Sigh.

I really love the "encounters" they included in Bones V as add ons. A neat piece of terrain, a few monsters, maybe a hero or two. Really cool idea (maybe it was also in KS IV? I haven't backed a Bones KS in a bit)

I play...

Sigh.

Who am I kidding? I only paint these days...

Are you sure? I see Bones IV stuff on a lot of online stores as available. I know, I just ordered some the other day.
