I think its clearly something that goes with Kurnoth Hunters. I feel like its a safe bet they'll get a full army and it goes well with some of the other rumor engines.

Assuming that you mean the Kurnothi, as Kurnoth Hunters are the Treelords Lite that the Sylvaneth have?

I'd 100% agree that the Kurnothi are likely to see an army down the line though. It just remains to be seen what comes with it.

That would be so awesome. Though it's probably Sigmar.

The swirly pattern has been used before as an Eldar motif. Both Jain Zar and the Visarch sport those on their armours (along legs and arms), unless they are reusing it for something Elf related in AoS.

It was used before Jain Zar and the Visarch on Wood Elf stuff.

With that central rune, my first thought was the AoS equivalent of the Freemasons...

The piece doesn't seem big enough to be the main focus of any scenery, but there seems to be rather a lot going on for it to just be a base.

Depends on what exactly the Ur-Phoenix is and what it means to them. It has certain ties to them, as it's linked to all elves and it does have a particular place in Hysh, however, I don't expect Phoenix Temple units to appear in another book.

As ever, somewhat hopeful of Exodite Eldar.

They're mentioned again in Phoenix Rising, and we have seen suspiciously lizard like rumour engines previously.

I'd be annoyed by that at this point honestly.

It is but I'd be annoyed that they made a new faction instead of fixing the space pirates they screwed up so hugely.

It give me alot of sylvaneth-ish feel. The wood branch and the swirly pattern make me think of the wardroot beetle.

But the rune and wheet looks like indication of something more civilised.

Its also a deliberate but pale discoloration like something wet has been running down the stone if you look closely. It could be a failed atempt at painting marble but looks more like it could be blood running from a head spiked at the top of the rock, almost.

I feel like the wheat is meant to be something else.

That's something that would make me think, again, of Wanderers if they hadn't axed the range so heavily when they rolled them into the Cities of Sigmar.

One of the things that Waywatchers used to do, in the fluff for The World That Was, is set up corpses of the slain 'trespassers' near the Waystones in Athel Loren to ward off the Bretonnians and others. They'd strip the bodies of organs, bones, and blood and just hang the skins and skulls on the borders leaving the rest for the forest to 'claim' its due.

Maybe the Kurnothi are going to be getting some of the stripped out Wood Elf stuff as part of their faction?

Definitely looks like something for the Kurnothi - the grasses around it especially. Could they be the next new faction for AOS? I reckon exodites are on the way too but this isn't them. Aren't they having AoS and 40k open days in November at WW? should maybe see more then.

What I hope it is? Exodite eldar obviously... or something 40k eldar..

What it will be: Some sort of AOS/sub game thing..

I think those are reeds rather than wheat. And the whole thing has a swirling pool overflowing vibe personaly. So I imagine it will be something for those silly flying shark thingies from AOS.
