Right. I'm sure it's so she can recharge her iPhone. At the very least, it directly contradicts your notion that cybernetics are somehow in violation of the "theme" of the Sisters.
I never even I one said that.

Lol you can bet most of the casual arguments will vanish once people have models to distract them; and many will change their opinions when seeing models in the flesh and painted models not just 3D sculpts. Heck seeing options in the kits, seeing the models and the rules and the big launch hype will more than create enough positive and enjoyable buzz. Sure there will be one or two who will cry that sisters are dead; that GW has lost the plot and that the world is coming to an end; but by and large I'm expecting a very popular very big launch with lots of people really hyped up to get their old models and the new models on the table waging war in the Emperors Name

Probably ... however, on most sites the mods keep things in check. On Dakka the mods are some of the worst offenders.

So Sisters can use cybernetics for everything else, except for this one specific super logical purpose central to their function, because that's heresy? Damn. I guess this somehow makes sense in your head.

Crimson, your strawmen are getting so elaborate, in a moment, they're going to jump off the frame and start singing show tunes.

It is hard to build strawmen, as you and Machu keep grasping all those straws.

I'm just try to follow the tortured plug hater logic here.

First it was that fluff says they don't use cybernetic connections. No such fluff is cited.

Then it was that they don't have such plugs in the art. Turns out they do, so no the argument is that sure, they do have them, but they use them for something else.

Pretty desperate, eh?

Do you want an explanation of WHY it's hated?

The more like FSM they make them, the flimsier the argument against FSM gets.

Right. So this is all about the insane fear and hatred of female marines, even though the subject is barely connected. Should have known.

And the less need for FSM as well, since they would then fill the role.

Ports seem to make sense.
Occasional use, less precise control of power armor- bodysuit interface, MIU port, similar minor augmentation.
Frequent usage of power armor- more advanced features, more refined movement and flexability, implanted neural ports to translate motion commands.
Enhanced power armor strength, autosenses, life support- full black carapace neural integration plus ports.

Seems like it all flows to me.

The argument against FSM isn't worth anything since primaris became a thing. It's worth 0.

Yes, they look like female Black Templars without their armor.

In the end, the truth is Repentia sisters were not a popular unit before, partly because of the miniatures and partly because...well, they're not really overpowered in game. Because of that, I find it a bit ironic to see so much flak on this topic.

This kit will sell if GW make the unit good in game, but not sure they will. Unless they have old arco-flagellants levels of resistance, I don't see how a close combat unit on foot that was never known for its survivability to the most basic of weapons can be that popular in a game like W40k where shooting is such a big part. Except for weird people like me who just love them in swarms, but I am aware I was a special case amongst the other sister players I know.

Ok, let me pause you there. All you're doing is making an LTM argument, where what constitutes 'acceptable sources gets narrower and narrower. First we'll site FFGs games, since they cover it in detail. You've already aid that's not good enough. So, next we go to BL. you'll claim that's not canon. So, we'll go to Codecies. When we find it there, you'll argue that it has to be specific codex. If/When we find it THERE you'll argue that it has to be on a specific page, which it turns out is the index. When it's not on that index page, you'll proclaim yourself right and all of us donkey-caves.

If you can't tell, i've had this exact discussion many, many times before and already know how it goes. If you want to have a bit of a laugh about it, it was actually used in the Space Marine lances debate where it actually got all the way down to arguing that and I quote, that Space Marine ships were equipped with a weapon also named a lance, that could be used on star ships, but wasn't really a starship lance.

If you want to see petty, look up the Jovian class in BFG. Or the Venerable Battle Barge rule. Which was intended to give people who didn't like the Ultramarines having a battlebarge with lances the big middle finger. And that was Jervis on that one.

And as I pointed out a long time back, go pick up Daemonifuge, it's reprinted, it's illustrated. Have fun. You'll find no plugs on Stern in the sections where she's out of her armor. To further edify you, I'll cruise around and see if there's some pages from it we can post here.

As i stated before, To me the Plugs take away from the sisters cool factor i came to, that faith, diligence, and raw skill was all they needed to wield their weapons and armor. I did not have issue with replacement bionics in and of themselves, but adding this process to every sister across every order in a few sentences is at the least annoying, and to me dampers my opinion of the faction somewhat. call it silly, call it lacking sense, but really, if i wanted more cybernetics, i coulda gone many other places... and one such place id be HAPPY for them.

The fact we also hear of this on a model i specifically was hoping would have a lot more space for tattered robes, scars, seals, and symbols, and incidentally fell short for what i wanted in general, is starting to make this worse the more i consider it. the news isn't just one model that if the course stays rule-wise isn't often worth fielding to me, and seems to have it's lore.. adjusted based on appearance. it's more then that, it seems.

Congrats to those who like these changes, because there they are, on the model and in the lore i was supposed to be excited to finally see, but i am not cheering for this.

Army: none currently.

There's a page where she's totally naked. but that will do. So, next will come the demand for it in a Codex, because this is BL. Or he'll start on the 'but you can't see the back of her neck' which is why I thought of the naked pic, but it's not dakka friendly.
