Forget the Industry - GW itself is one of the more healthy major companies in the country in general; if GW falls down the pan and dies then the UK would likely be in the grips of an absolute and utter economic collapse. That is unless GW has faked all their numbers for years and years. GW has a lot of assets they can strip in an emergency even down to cutting all their stores and staff from stores if they needed to make huge savings. They could cut back to fully online and 3rd party supply only and still remain afloat.

well yeah GW closing would be "gamer armageddon" in that it'd proably mean we're seeing the complete collapse of the industry

...did you, perchance, read the WHC article for Preview 3, where they mention releasing these as M2O, SSU? The Termie is specifically called out as "an event-exclusive model who would have been available for the first time at AdeptiCon."

No mention is given as to when they intended to release the SoB, though.

Eh not talking about this model but how when sister news first game people were no full revamp, just one model, gw pulling fast one. Plenty of that was going on

So I just started putting together the models from the limited edition boxset, they are beautiful models for sure. The new sculpt looks great IMHO, but it's just a basic battle sister really when all said and done, so I don't see the point in spending $35 for one when in the 10 sister boxset I'm getting one for $6. Maybe that's just me.

Then don't buy it? We don't need your justifications for why you don't like it/don't want to buy it.

I said I would buy all new Sisters models if they made them - and so far I have - ordered her as she looks awesome. Looking forward to getting her painted!

I've just about finished painting up my Army box and these are truly lovely models. I was happy with my 1750ish points of metal Sister of Battle until I actually got these models out and painted. I think I may be developing a plastic crack problem.

Which is why I will be ordering Sister Tariana Palos, who will get to join a squad with Sister Superior Armalia Novena. Novena needs a power sword (hello Battle Sisters box for sheathed power sword) or a chainsword (hello canoness backpack with chainsword). You see my problem?

Yup not just you two, I guess for majority of people. That price for a single average mini is absurd, it's not worth half of that.

Best use I can think of for her is replace arms with ones from canoness kit(you have plenty spares) but even for that 40€ for me is steep. 33% more than canoness kit itself.

I kinda wonder if when they where doing sisters they had a few ones they did as test runs that they're putting out as special editions, as we've already got the other one..

if it is it's a missed oppertunity they coulda given sisters a Lt style HQ and made demand for these girls higher

Huh? Hmm i could be wrong. Don"t think i have seen mto's before on flgs options but if you have...better ask your local flgs then. If you are correct maybe they can. Or corona makes these exceptions.

I've known some stores to do orders of stuff that is direct order only (back before stores got to buy them with some discount). The store basically makes no money on the order, but they do it to retain customer loyalty.

Yeah those are not that unusual. My store does those. It's the MTO I haven't seen anywhere.

Could see my store being less pleased with the idea with this. Pay in advance now, wait for products, get money from me when product comes. At least that's how it works for regular direct only items. Not sure how MTO does.

Have to ask store though. Even if I pay in advance less of a bugger and saves the 33% shipping tax. Model could look cool with blessed blade from canoness box and either bolt or inferno pistol.

Honestly I think that's very fair. I really like the model and pose and was already buying an exorcist from my LGS when I saw it pop up so added it to the order but it does feel very overpriced.

Sorry about wrong statement. Seems FLGS indeed can order MTO stuff for customers. Got one that way so converted canoness will be made.

So if you want it but ordering direct from GW doesn't appeal due to shipping/pay first&wait(at least my FLGS provides it pay on delivery) system FLGS can likely help.

I like the Sister Palos model but, pose aside, she’s not dissimilar enough for me to purchase at that price point.

She’s about $50 after taxes and shipping. Almost the same price as a Battle Sister Squad from my LGS.

This seems to be the best thread for this, rather than start a new one since it's not really a topical subject: Shipping confirmations are starting to go out for these, at least for the Sister model.

It was slated for a Q4/Octoberish release, IIRC, so a goodly bit sooner than anticipated.

Yeah, my sister model shipped yesterday or the day before apparently.
