If you didn't include pictures I don't know if I would have believed you. Even with the pictures, I am not sure if this is real life or I am still sleeping. It is as awesome as it is terrifying.

What a waste of time to make everything about Trump. The obsession is really getting out of hand, and I don't even like the guy. It ruins and cheapens everything to just keep poking and prodding, even if it looks like so much of the rest of the parade is other cultural personalities.

This would have been so much cooler had it been purely 40K material for a parade.

I am fairly sure that IF Trump saw this, he would be thrilled at the homage, and miss any irony in it

But, hey, true scale, life sized Primarch model?

The obvious lesson to be taken away here is to leave any political themed comments at the door and just marvel at the sheer awesome entertainment value of the float. Because it really is quite spectacular, as is the whole retinue.

I think it's funny. I doubt it's hardcore political, because over there they tend to have floats that poke a bit of fun at everyone.

That’s hilarious! My mother-in-law is from Viareggio and, although we haven’t been back there for Canevale, we do go visit it every couple of years. Some of her friends sent pictures of the carevale, but they had no idea what the Trump cum The Emperor float was. Cracked me up seeing those worlds come together...

Regardless of what you may think of the man, that is an exceptionally well made float.

The term 'Cult of Personality' comes to mind. To quote Guy Debord,

Besides, God-emperor of Mankind might be an appealing title at the first impression, but let's be honest. After the unification of Terra it all went downhill and not at all according to his plan. And now he's trapped as trotting corpse and needs a thousand sacrifices each day. As an Imperial player I have to admit that the guy was a complete failure

Trump is depicted here as regal and commanding. Whatever the intention, the image is visually flattering.

With the a Soviet shoulder pad, the Russian double eagle as belt buckle and the Chinese president's face on the knee I'm not sure if this is a whole-hearted homage.

Not sure about the double headed eagle, actually. It wasn't just used by Russia. It could just be a more general imperial symbol, as it was used by the Holy Roman Empire and the Byzantines before the Russians.

What a glorious statue thingie of my favourite president! What material did they use, and how long did it take to build and paint? I struggle to paint one 28mm mini a week, these guys are real professionals

I know parades in USA are for honoring things but mediterranean carnaval is the inverse, we make floats of things we are mocking. But I think the different perception is because cultural differences. Nobody I know (From Spain) has doubt for a second that this float was making fun of Trump.
