It's a Facebook group started specifically to fight against scalpers on eBay selling limited minis for stupid prices.

And for those who dont have Facebook, is there an other solution?

pm Mad Doc Grotsnik on these very forums. Two or three posts above this one.

Or the page before this one.....

I may still be up for Looting, depends on availability of Spoons (posting out 100+ order is draining), and of course a store local enough to me moving, opening or rebranding.

If that happens, I'll do a dedicated thread, with Mod approval.

Just a quick vouching for Original Timmy

He is indeed one of the co-vice-deputy-assistant-sub-dogsbodies on the Loot Group

How dare companies want to incentivize increased attendance.

Attendance in what?

Poland has one GW store. Brand new, so no refurbishings or reopenings or nothing. It's also in the middle-east, so people living in big cities on the western border, south, and the coast are SOL. Belarus next to us has zero. Ukraine, ditto. Kaliningrad, Czechy and Slovakia, Baltic states, same. That's what, 125 mln people with a single frakking official store 6-8 hours away by poor roads or expensive, bad train connection (and that from Poland alone, never mind neighbors) - gee, I can't imagine why these losers don't want to "increase attendance"

In fact, it's faster and cheaper to go to Germany or Austria (who also have multiple GW stores right on the border, as if to mock us) from most of central and eastern Europe than to travel to a single GW store the company decided to graciously throw us which should give you a clue how 'available' for most of us it is. It's a wonder 40K is even alive here, as 99% of lifting needed for it is done by local fans and generic RPG stores, with almost nothing done by GW proper...

New store openings.

It's a model that is sold to commemorate new stores. So the existence or lack thereof of stores now is somewhat irrelevant.

Yes, it's a bit sad that not everyone will have access to it... but it's also not like it's something that you actually need. It doesn't have special rules. It's just a fairly average model that, on the table, the vast majority of gamers wouldn't even recognise as anything other than a standard model.

This was, IMO, far more of a concern back when GW were producing limited edition models that actually looked like something special, like Centurius or the original Emperor's Champion model, but since they started making their 'special' models by just reposing an armature and slapping a different head on it, I'm really missing the appeal.

Eyebrows, maybe? Not a horrid model, but not my favorite female Stormcast at all.

Store birthdays are crazy popular from the one I've been to.
Packed to the gills with customers buying models. A dude I got into the hobby a few weeks prior dropped $500+ just to get the free model and, more importantly, the free backpack. (The model he got isn't even for the faction he plays, it was just an incentive.)

I probably would feel a bit differently if I didn't have a local store, but I can see why the store exclusive model is a good idea. Though, a nicer looking model would be great.

Warhammer Poole is the next one.

Confirmed to have the Stormcast, the Captain and the Chaplain. All in ‘as many as you want’ quantities.

The captain and chaplain are order as many as you want. Stormcast is limited to one per physical attendee with no order options :(

£15 each, if memory serves. If you got the Loot Route

Otherwise it’s silly money on eBay.

So, did he decapitate the ork with his blunt weapon, obliterate everything of it below the neck/shoulders, or is he just posing on someone else's kill?

Probably tore it off with a might hit. Similar to how limbs and that can be detached with sufficient blunt force trauma.

Without getting blood on the hammer, and without mushing the skull.

I mean, it's silly fantasy whatever, but I reserve the right to make fun of bad concepts.

He just hit him really, really hard (it's in the article),

and since an Orc(k)'s head is pretty darn tough it might just be plausible that the neck gave way before the skull (my interpretation)

Orcses are hunch backed though. Wallop them twixt the shoulders, and it’s possible no blood on his weapon because it’s enchantments soon sizzle it off (canon!)

Looks like it would be a good Master of Executions conversion - just replace the hammerhead with an axe, add CSM shoulder pads and backpack.

Might be worth seeing if I can get one.

I prefer to buy from miniature manufacturers that *don't* support the overthrow of democracy.

Gw needs to make a sprue of various casualties and body parts. There are cool bits like this ork head, but we need some good loose ones for basing and projects

The Huntsmen/Archers kit for Empire has an Orruk 'casualty' that is clutching an arrow in his chest.

Spoiler:

We just need a whole box of just this kind of stuff for Orruks!

Shame they got rid of the one that came in Thieving Grots/gretchin. Poor ork had all his teeth pulled out by some gobbos.

Out of curiosity, have they made those new terminators bigger than the current ones? Their design is slightly different and I wonder how they compare.

Nice enough new model, that pose is pretty decent.
