I really like the new Chaos Marine models and have been thinking about getting a bunch as a modelling and painting project (I don't really play anymore). I kinda want to do a warband called the Diarrhea Spiders. Its an awful name, but it ALMOST sounds like something that belongs in 40K. And diarrhea probably kills more guardsmen than anything else. And I can totally see a story where they show up for a big war and there's like Abaddon and all the other big Chaos guys reading off the lists of legions and chapters and warbands...

Abaddon: So we have the Black Legion and the Wold Eaters and the Red Corsairs and the ... Diarrhea Spiders?

Diarrhea Spider Lord: Here! We're here and ready to wreck some carnage in the name of...

Abaddon: Why... why are you called the Diarrhea Spiders?

Diarrhea Spider Lord: Right, gross and scary. Totally Chaos. 100% mate.

ANYWAY, the name popped into my head because some of the new models have kind of spider themed helmets. Any suggestions for paint schemes? I've been having trouble thinking of something suitably cool without looking goofy. EDIT: This is a serious request. Cool paint suggestions please.

Whatever you go for, the rear armour plate and maybe the lower leg armour should probably be brown...

Google image up some spiders for color combos...
wolf and fisher spiders have nice bands,
yellow and brown for the diarrhea?

thin lines of color on the pauldrons to look like legs,
paint multiple extra "eyes" on the helms to look like,
well, spider eyes!

I actually really like "Cholera Spiders". Its not as funny, but it sounds even more like something that belongs in 40K. And yeah, they should probably be Nurgel Worshipers.

I use google image a lot for color combos,
spiders, beetles, wasps, etc have some great colors and patterns

Dark browns nearing black with greens like poops sometimes are. Maybe some more yellowy or orange accent colors.

Nurgle models would be great.

Choleric spiders sound more like a nurgle khornate mixed Band that is angry and toxic.

Could let blood drip form mouth pieces on a pale scheme with crosses and chithin like plates and spider scheme?

Not to be mixed up with tuberechidna, which is a rather cute looking spiky beastie eating a potato.

I like Flux Spiders, with the individual squads being named after the various diseases. Aranea is latin for spider. You could have the ranks/titles inside the warband "Aranea something", maybe use spider names. Paint them in browns and blacks with thin yellow stripes and bands. Have special characters use paint schemes based on particular spiders-an allied Knight could be glossy black and red for a black widow look, things like that. Fluff them as followers of Nurgle that feed on the weak and spread disease.

Diarachnarrhea. Way more fun to say, and it may disturb your opponent when they are thinking about it halfway through the game and go 'wait...'
