The new havocs for one.
New CSM don't cost less, but have 3 sprues for the same price.
Rhinos come with 4 sprues and cost only 31 € compared to the 45 I have to pay for terminators

GW's pricing is always all over the place rather than be standard based on the number of models like virtually everyone else.

DO we as of yet have a ruling or statement in regards to Codex 2.0 and Codex 1 + Vigilus?

I will say that a third sprue with some more weapons would've been preferred.

For the price of the box, it can be argued that it should've been included. The regular csm cost the same and have 3 sprues, etc.

Also why this box has more garden fences then the garden around my house is frankly just also insane.

To be perfectly fair, Rhino is terrible model. 95% of it are perfectly flat surfaces, making the mould should cost peanuts compared to infantry models and be possible with 2 decade older, cheaper technology to boot. Ditto for GK termies, they are better comparison, but the kit is mostly made up from perfectly symmetrical geometric figures. Just look at swords, simple rectangles, while their guns are all slightly rounded boxes with little detail. Making that had to be much cheaper than any of the modern day kits.

My biggest gripe with CSM TDA is actually stupidly wasted effort. 9 heads, and outside of the mantis jaw, they are all the same, garbage identical boar tusks. What the frak? You could have included 4 instead of 9 and no one would have noticed, what happened to 5 very different, characterful heads from the older CSM TDA kit?

I don't think sprue counts factor much into their price. Of recent stuff I've gotten, 10 man Intercessors (4),Blightlord Terminators (2), and Abaddon (1!) are all the same price. Fire Warriors have 3 sprues and are cheaper.

We've come a long way from those single figure blister packs of yesteryear, but they did solve this particular problem.

Warning: Opinion given (feel free to have your own, but let me have mine as well)...

I feel like the redesign of the Chaos Terminator miniatures missed a golden opportunity.

Why didn't they produce two boxes (as had been mentioned before, questioning whether there would also be two non-interchangeable datasheets)? Like the loyalist Space Marines got? (Not counting special chapter boxes like Space Wolves or Blood Angels and Dark Angels.)

One Chaos Terminator box with all chainaxes, a couple of power weapons, combi-bolters, and a couple of heavy options (Reaper autocannon, heavy flamer, a new rotor cannon, whatever) and combi-options (like flamer, melta and plasma).

One Chaos Assault Terminator box, with five sets of lightning claws, and heavy assault options like powerfists, a chainfist or two.

Straight from the GW website:
The set includes 5 multipart plastic Chaos Terminators, each of which can be equipped with a variety of melee and ranged weapons. The following weapon options are included in the kit.

- 1 chain axe
- 1 chainfist
- 1 power sword
- 1 power axe
- 1 power maul
- 2 power fists
- 2 lightning claws
- 1 heavy flamer
- 1 reaper autocannon
- 5 combi-weapons

So, if the Codex states your squad consists of 5 Terminators all armed with a combi-bolter and a chainaxe, that would mean the kit can't be used to build the basic squad. "But who would want that?" Well, plenty of people, looking at the responses here. I think no one could deny that with a single box you could not build a single, unmodified, basic Terminator Squad. You would have to rely on buying more boxes, going after bits resellers (both options meaning you would get the same posed bit every time), or even to third-party product (Forge World chainaxes, many, many other sites that provide resin or plastic bits).

And we cannot even claim the "no model - no rules - no model" policy. "Ha ha! We now do have a power sword option for your terminators. If you want a squad with 5 of them, you just have to buy five Terminator kits. Ha ha! Cha-ching!!!"
