I like the idea of a torque to hide the neck join, but I think that is only part of the problem.
Having their horns pointed in only one direction makes them look floppy to me.
Having horns only on the head makes the head not blend well with the body imo.
The lizard heads shown look very lizardy and not very lizardman-y so they don't mesh well with the bodies.
I guess I'd prefer heads that were a little bit more humanoid which would fit better with the body imo.
But again, it is a great kit idea and seems to be a big hit so I wish them all the success in the world.

The upcoming plastic demons for Frostgrave include some plastic wings meant for human-sized figures at least: https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/30/787619.page#10865728
Maybe not ideal if converting a full lizard box assuming there's only a few pairs of wings per demon box, but resin demon or vampiric/bat wings from Kromlech or the likes aren't cheap either. Maybe some bitz sites have the wings of Tyranid Gargoyles or Age of Sigmar winged Witch Elves available somewhere...

At that point, it might be better to buy a cheap bag of plastic Halloween hats and harvest their wings.

Medieval lizard people options would be awesome. Maybe some Mameluke(or Medieval Indian would be really cool) styled clothes and armour( laminate or some nice old fashion scale armour, would look good) with options for guns and medieval melee weapons. It could span fantasy, scifi and speculative imperial conquests era!

Looks like a very useful set. For a command sprue, though, I was hoping we’d see a very peaked cap.

@lord marcus: do the heads for this set come in a different sprue, like with the previous grognard kit? I only seem to spot the officer heads.
Also is the kit coming with 5 torsos and 4 sets of legs? (lots of tank commanders if that is the case)

I’ll be more direct: I hope we see some Commissar hats. Officer hats are cool, but not uncommon. Heroic-sized (not necessarily scaled) Commissar hats are really hard to find.

Would that truly live up to the Espirit de corps of the Grognard though? Or would that be more of a Raumjager thing? The Grognards have the long coats. Hats can be used on any head. And I’m into Grognards for the grimdark Blanche-ness, not any interest in Napoleonic France.
But if you’re saying we’ll get commissar hats with the Raumsjagers command, that works for me.

Commissar caps do seem like they'd fit in more with the Raumsjagers.
In an ideal world the hat would be a separate piece from the head, so spiders and lizards could wear them and look just as dapper as their human compatriots.

I'm saying its a possibility. I apologize for the confusion, as I don't have any control with what ends up on the sprue. I will mention it to the proper people though.

That's been a popular idea on the Facebook group, as well as attaching them to Mantic GCPS dropships.

Sorry if I'm just not seeing it, but I want my officers to have gas masks, but can only see one bicorne with gas mask. I was hoping both of my Senior Officers could have differently styled bicornes.
The one I see with gas mask is the one where the bicorne is worn length ways left to right, but I can't see the bicorne with gas mask where the bicorne is worn length ways front to back.
Can someone who can decipher my mad rambling tell me where the other gas mask bicorne is please.

Having confirmed with the proper people:
Yes you will have to cut and marry a gasmask lower with the upper portion of the bicorne that is perpendicular to the shoulders.
There wasn't enough space to add the extra head in based on what NEEDED to be on the Sprue.

Thanks for confirming lord marcus.
That's a shame, but it's fine. I can just leave my senior officers without gas masks. It's not like someone would dare gas an officer of such high standing in Napoleon Bonaparte's great army.
That would just be rude.

You just leave the officers in the back, so that the expendable soldiers take all the gas
Or you invest on a dome to keep him safe.
On a more serious note, if chopping is not for you, there are kits that come with gas masks. The cadian command squad has some that could work and Anvil Industries respirator heads have a spare gas mask that wouldn't look out of place.
