I love the hobbit knights with the exception for the giga swords. Just like with the scythe for the necromancer, they are way too big for the hobbits to even lift, let alone to fight with.

1) That halfling looks great. Are halfling heads the same scale as normal human heads? I wouldn't mind picking up one for use in a normal human conversion, and I typically disdain resin anything.
2) I think that Necromancer is a great start! I would agree with the general consensus that the scyth looks no so good. I think it would benefit from being more realistic looking - but would resin be too weak for it?
3) I would hope future fantasy lady releases don't all have high heels

Hobbit knight, singlular. He is a character. Automatically Appended Next Post: Carlovonsexron wrote:1) That halfling looks great. Are halfling heads the same scale as normal human heads? I wouldn't mind picking up one for use in a normal human conversion, and I typically disdain resin anything.

1. Halfling heads would be in scale with our current halflings.
2. I will pass these comments along to the design team
3. They most likely will not. But I cannot confirm or deny.

That said, if you are just focusing on expanding the Egyptian line you would want to have Sherden/Sea Peoples (hand weapon armed infantry), Libyan/Nubians (Archers mostly), and light chariots in addition to the two boxes you have.
The Hittites really should be one of the big hitters, too. Troy was a vassal of theirs, and they were considered a rival to Egypt as a superpower in the eastern Mediterranean, at least for a little while.
The biggest battles of the LBA in terms of historical interest are The Trojan War, Megiddo/Armageddon-part-1 and Kadesh. Two of those involve Egypt and two Hittite styled (or Hittite-adjacent) forces. Canaanites and Hurrians can likely be simple body swaps onto other forces’ chariots. I’m not sure how distinct the Assyrian chariots would have been from the Hittite chariots, but might only require a few bits. Automatically Appended Next Post:

I totally agree, but I see way more Assyrian, Egyptian, and Mycenean forces being built, played, or painted than any of the other factions of the era. I see more Sumerians or Minoans than I do Hittites, and that is just not right! I personally would love to see a much wider selection of Chariot Wars forces too. However, from a business perspective those other forces probably do not make sense.
I would be pretty happy if they just complete their Egyptian range!

Why not? How about another preview for Atlantic Digital. Keep in mind that releases each month will include a mix of full sets, characters, conversion parts, terrain, and vehicles...across 11 ranges: Classic Fantasy, Death Fields, and 9 historical ranges.
How about a big bruiser of a chieftain to lead your Irish raiding party or defend the kingdom from the Northmen?

The first release will be a boxed game with a full rulebook and units of Crusaders and Coftyrans!
But you ask - what are Quar!??!
The Quar are the inhabitants of a rugged, mountainous, and storm-wracked world called Alwyd. Their planet is warm, like ours, and shares many of the same characteristics. One notable difference, however, is Cythwyn - the Month of Storms. Every third year, at the end of the calendar, all of Alwyd is tormented by the worst storms imaginable. Sandstorms drop sand thousands of miles from the nearest desert. Snow falls in the tropics. Black blizzards scour croplands down to bedrock. Hailstones the size of mhudd balls pound the earth and crush anything unprotected. It is a terrible time, but the Quar are used to terrible things, for to be a Quar is to be resilient.
Quar are just like you and me - perfectly normal creatures, bereft of magic or supernatural powers or other-worldly technologies. They do eat bugs, though, and lots of them, which is why they have long, agile snouts and even longer tongues. Most Quar, when they’re not fighting each other over slights real or imagined, are farmers, or tradequar, or merchants. Mostly they live simple, happy lives. Mostly.
In their native tongue, ‘Alwyd’ means ‘home’, and to a Quar, nothing is more important. The patch of dirt, the tiny hovel full of kits and kin - these are the things most Quar gladly devote their lives to. Most Quar. But there are other Quar - ambitious, striving Quar - for which a mere warm bed and full belly are not enough. These are the ones that scheme, that connive, and their machinations bring whole nations and kingdoms into conflict. Constant conflict, brutal conflict, for the history of Alwyd is written in blood...

I need these Quar in my life far more than I ever expected to. For something I never really knew I wanted, these take the cake.
Edit. Only thing I think could make these better would be if they had "space" Martini-Henry rifles, they come so close, and it is enough for me to say "good enough".... but that single detail would demolish my wallet.

I can’t believe this. I have a platoon worth of metal quar already and I’ve been scouring their website for weeks weighing what to get next. This is awesome news! There’s a few factions of quar each with a different uniform and weapon availability already available if you like metal. You may want to check them out for your not exactly martini requirement

Another great figure with a weapon that's just too big. Really, he's one-handing a two-handed sword that a human would have a hard time lifting?
I think part of the jarring nature is that stylistically he fits with your hobbits, but the weapon is so different from the scale of what they have. It should definitely be bigger than average for a hero, but you don't have to go all GW on it.

Holy crap, this is one of the coolest things I've seen this year.
I've been a longtime fan of the Quar (bought some books, but never the figs) and my buddy has some painted up that will make their way into our WWW2 games next year. It's hard to overstate the exalted status of Quar and Zombismith among long-term fans of indie miniatures. That you are hitting the ground running with Croftyans and Crusaders is fantastic.
This is a Coup for WGA. Automatically Appended Next Post:
Interesting that you mention those references. While Quar Predate SLUDGE (Looks alot like Turnip28?) and Turnip28 by quite a bit, once plastic Quar will exist, I wonder what oddball worlds they will end up being converted into.
As for Miyazaki there's a deep animation connection to Quar and other Zombismith creations in that their creator worked for Pixar for quite a while.
