A really cool channel I've discovered since my last post is BritishMuzzleLoaders.
Absolutely packed with well-sourced history on British firearms, musketry, and personal gear of the colonial period, right up to the end of WWII. Really fascinating insight into the sophistication of military musketry and individual infantry training. I'd love to see similarly presented information on the same areas for the other Great Powers of the era covered, but alas there are significant translation issues involved.

Looks like it’s another evening watching Townsend’s videos on YouTube.
So whole shebang is just so watchable. Interesting subjects, genuinely educational and ‘reckon I could do that’. And damned if the main man isn’t incredibly affable and watchable!
His passion for living history is palpable, and he’s very, very personable. Think of your favoured teachers from school, the slightly quiet, almost avuncular one from that? It’s him.
He shows you interesting things with enthusiasm without patronising.
For a historical cooking channel, this is The Dog’s Danglies.

"The best way to lie is to tell the truth." Attelus Kaltos.
My story! Secret War
After his organisation is hired to hunt down an influential gang leader on the Hive world, Omnartus. Attelus Kaltos is embroiled deeper into the complex world of the Assassin. This is the job which will change him, for better or for worse. Forevermore. Chapter 1.
The Angaran Chronicles: Hamar Noir. After coming back from a dangerous mission which left his friend and partner, the werewolf: Emilia in a coma. Anargrin is sent on another mission: to hunt down a rogue vampire. A rogue vampire with no consistent modus operandi and who is exceedingly good at hiding its tracks. So much so even the veteran Anargrin is forced into desperate speculation. But worst of all: drive him into desperate measures. Measures which drives Anargrin to wonder; does the ends, justify the means?
Now I’ll admit. I tuned in at first with British Snobbery in mind. US Dollar Foods, tried and tested? Surely this had to be a carcinogenic car crash of foulsome Foods.
And, it kinda is? But, the presenter is pretty honest, and very listenable. If it’s crap, he says it’s crap. If it’s actually pretty good? He’ll say so. For a ‘shooting fish in a barrel’ type channel, he’s not at all snooty about it.
Vids also go into the ingredients, and is somewhat informative, whilst being punchy and to the point.
Best of all? It’s not some Hipster Goon stating the obvious. Nothing is being tried ironically.
Lovely.

Another good one I've started watching is Friday Night Arcade. This guy tells about a lot of older video games, all the way back to Atari 2600 ones. If you like all kinds of retro games, this channel is pretty cool.

I think with the amount of videos pumping out I question their research accuracy but its certainly entertaining. The video about Varangian guard was particularly awesome.

Genuinely if you are wondering I like listening to stuff in the background as I am home all day working on projects, schoolwork (Formerly), gaming, writing, etc, I like having something the background really helps me think as it acts like a white noise.

From whom are unforgiven we bring the mercy of war.
I forgot to mention Scotty Kilmer. Dude's a mechanic that talks cars: which ones are great, which have problems, fixing them on the cheap. Even answers questions from viewers about cars. Lots of good info and he doesn't really play favorites with any make or model. If he doesn't like something he tells you why.
Of all the races of the universe the Squats have the longest memories and the shortest tempers. They are uncouth, unpredictably violent, and frequently drunk. Overall, I'm glad they're on our side!
Office of Naval Intelligence Research discovers 3 out of 4 sailors make up 75% of U.S. Navy.
"Madness is like gravity... All you need is a little push."
I am a huge fan of Kurzgestat for their deep dives into big topics and great animation styles, they have some great videos about space and history that I love.
I have been enjoying Internet Today for my weekly source of weird news that often gets missed. They are a great, down to earth duo who put a lot of work into their channel and are very entertaining to watch.
How To Drink is another channel I enjoy purely for background noise, the guy makes fancy cocktails from pop culture or historical references and is just incredibly soothing!
Thank you so, so much! Incredibly entertaining channel. Shades of QI in certain ways, and actual banter. No, not passive-aggressive, cryptobigot stuff. Actual banter. Silly ideas becoming ever sillier, because the people are feeding off each others energy and imagination to create a 15 minute video full of laughs and daftness.
The kind of banter that makes a night out awesome, as opposed to too much banter that makes a night out awkward.

Military history not visualized-a German talking about tanks!
I thought he was an Austrian who talks to Germans. He seems very Austrian to me.
I agree the channel is great.
He is an Austrian, absolutely, but for non germanics that is like a book with 7 sigils.
Altough the reactions you get as a swiss, when you explain them that you are not german but SWISS german is also hilarious.
His visualized ones though are also rather fancy. ( He runs 2 channels, both worth it if you like history)
Altough the crew from the Great war has started 2 more channels, one for the interwar period and now one for WW2, which both are outstanding allready imo.

GW:"Space marines got too many options to balance, therefore we decided to legends HH units." Players: "why?!? Now we finally got decent plastic kits and you cut them?" Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?" GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!" Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.
Seriously, seriously undersubbed and underviewed: Ramzca. This guy is funny as frig.

Eddie Halls Channel is awesome. Hes a british world strongest man title holder, and holder of the deadlift world record (500KG, strongman rules)
His videos feature him and usually other athletes at various gyms or doing other activities like eating hot wings or massive amounts of food. it makes for some funny viewing. I recommend the worlds strongest man does a backflip video.
I like some painting and crafting channels like: Goobertown Hobbies: A very chilled out chemist paints miniatures in a soothing, Bob Ross like style. Black Magic Craft: Really excellent builds for all kinds of medieval and post apocalyptic structures. Landvaettr's Lair: Some really awesome crafts with a more dark ages bent. Wyloch: My go to place for 40K themed crafts and Grimdark Future battle reports.
I also like some video game stuff. Retry (and previously Prepare to Try): Lets plays of hard games, including the Dark Souls series, by a Welshman, an Englishman and a Northern Irishman. Hilarious stuff. Jim Sterling: Video game industry commentary Extra Frames and Playframe: The fella that used to do the voices for Extra Credits is an animator and does lovely videos about computer game animation and lets plays. Ymfah: Does crazy stuff like pacifisting Dark Souls 2 with very entertaining videos.
I also love Matt Colville and watch all of his videos and twitch streams. He does stuff about how to be a good dungeon master for dungeons and dragons. I watch a few other Dungeons and Dragons related channels as well.
And I have recently gotten into Binging with Babish, a cooking show.
I don't watch anything political on Youtube any more, the quality is just too poor.

I am surprised no one has mentioned Steve1989. He eats and reviews military survival rations from all sorts of times and countries. It's a lot better watch than you would think.
