Celstine. The new one is just gorgeous- true to the previous version, and not horribly overdecorated. Too bad she's overpriced, or I would have had the pleasure of painting her.

The Forgebane Cryptek looks great, sticking to the old model while keeping with the newer Necron designs, and as a result warding away the excesses of the Overlord designs. Also, no more wibbly wobbly resin whip staves!

I was going to say, I like the new Celestine model, but she doesn't have enough bling IMO. She's pretty bland.

The re-vamped Tau kits (Firewarriors, Pathfinders and Crisis suits); almost don’t qualify as a re-design, because they kept all of the key elements from the originals, but sharpened everything up, added more options and poses and generally made them easier to build. Wish I hadn’t bought so many if the originals now.

another vote for 5th edition Dark Eldars. The new kabalite warriors and Incubi were amazing in my opinion. Thw wracks and mandrake, mental.
the update from metal nobz who were okay to plastic nobz who are my favorite kit in 40K.
The new Tau infantry, really, really cool. (but I did prefer the older slimmer stealth suits).
The newly minted Chaos Space Marines are very impressive too.

Not really a redesign, but the Canoptek Cloak Cryptek looks nice. I greatly prefer the cowl to the stupid crest/crown that Overlords and lychguards have. He still has a loincloth, but honestly, I can understand why they gave him one; if he didn't have something down there, the model would look "unbalanced, as he has a lot going on up top. Having something interesting down there completes the model. Saint Celestine is the only redesigned model I ever had in my hands in both old and the new versions, so I vote for her.
I also like Intercessors aesthetically. Too bad I can't say the same for the rest of the Primaris range.

It's kind of a mixed bag for me. I don't necessarily like the Rhino kit or it's varients all that much and they're vastly out of scale, but at the same time they're faithful to the original model so if you have old ones you can keep using them without it looking really strange. I think they should have taken the opportunity to reimagine them as something a little less WWI (or even just make the base hull a tad bigger), but I can see why they didn't go that route.
The Rhino is not WWI based. It's an M113 ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M113_armored_personnel_carrier)

I think you mean 4th ed? The 3rd ed redesign was all over the place with the Hive Tyrant, Carnifex and Ravenors grinning in a goofy way. And the original Tyrant Guard with the hand held shield, my word what were they thinking. The only major redesign from 3rd that I really like is the Warriors as they've been largely unchanged since.

I'm going to say Nurglings, I love them either way but the current plastic kit for me is nurglings. What I imagine a nurgling to be, is that kit.
Now the loose nurglings for the base was fun, could get many bases rolling of them which I like money wise, but looks wise, the current ones smack them down. It is just such a mound of mushy nurgle love and with a little creative choice you can get an easy 6 bases out of one box.
Love me some nurglings.

Depends entirely how its done. I see far too many of these money saving Nurglings where to person who made them does not realise (or care) that they go together in a specific way so if you leave a mound off to stretch the amount of bases you now have horns and arms that connect to nothing and Nurglings missing the aforementioned too. Now, this can easily be avoided with a little thought, but soooo many people just make them look fething awful by doing this. Stop! Nurglings are not expensive £££ wise, (esp. when bought from places like eBay when people have broke down starter boxes) Please.

The 5th edition revamp of the Dark Eldar range was nothing short of fantastic and I reckon they're doing something similar with SoB at the minute. That was a real labour of love to bring that line into being.
The Eldar Wraith units that got updated are also lovely.
The new Deathguard are actually quite nice, especially when they aren't painted in the 'Eavy Metal style. Just a shame GW scalps people for a box of 7.

I still think the 3rd edition hive tyrant design/idea was the best. There were clear similarities between the warriors and the hive tyrant, which conveyed that the hive tyrant was the leader really well. I dont get that with the "new" model.
