Heh.
It’s a lot all at once for sure..
Now, lots of new models you won’t believe!
You know what I won’t believe, The Lion.
So he must be coming, right?
Please not The Lion. The is $500 of finally getting on the primaris train I don't need.

Ok so I've had a moment to process the info
1) Warcry - so first up its an expansion book which adds more beasts and mercenary forces. This one seems to be more a case of "adding more models" to the game from what GW already produces. The photos show off the chimera monster whilst the book also mentions taking Dark Oath Queens and other models. So in general its going to be expanding the current core forces. No mention directly of adding any additional regular armies to the game nor if the "mercenaries" will include factions not currently added to the game.
Bit of a disappointment that we didn't get news at least on the next wave of faction cards unless that info comes out further during the Nova - keep an eye on any news blogs incase anyone does get more info
2) Ossiarch Bonereapers - These are awesome! Bone and metal constructs, they are clearly Nagash's answer to Stormcast. Infantry, heavy infantry, cavalry and a massive walking crawling catapult. I really like the look of these - REALLY like the look. They've not shown it all but the video does show off the coffin-back-pack character too.
The only model I dislike is the new Mortach and that's only because its clearly more a show-model than a battle model with the pose and style. It's awesome, just really kinda makes me also wonder how they heck you're even supposed to transport it (whole case to itself?).
Otherwise there's a great"Skeleton Warriors" vibe coming from them without being so metallic infused that they shifted from fantasy to steampunk/sci fi.
I greatly look forward to seeing more, though at this stage GW has said they've "not shown them all" BUT don't get too high hoped. Remember GW generally treats that as "we've not shown an individual photo" and they have shown 1 model in the video. What's also interesting is that, thus far, none of the new kits have been mentioned as duel kits.
3) No news on Cities nor Orruks battletomes; surprising since in theory these should before sisters, Bonereapers or any of the major Nova releases. This might mean they are much sooner so in a week or two rather than a long way off.
4) The big 40K Event was not what I was thinking at all, in fact its both pleasing and curious because it seems to be just a fancy way for GW to keep doing what they've been doing with some casual narrative alongside.
The plastic Howling Banshee is GREAT news as is the view that more armies will get more content over time during this event. It sounds like after Chaos and Marines got some big chunky updates; a lot of other forces are going to get some neat upgrades too, if not perhaps at the same scale or all at once.
Banshees getting updated also makes me think it might be GW cleaning up finecast again - so we might see more replacement models (like a new set of tyranids too).
Otherwise a good few "announcements of announcements" with things like Necromunda; which is nice to know but leaves us hungry for more. The saving grace being that we generally get news pretty fast from GW.
Overall I really love the new skeletons and want to see more!

Dakka’s disappointment at any announcement never ceases to amaze.
Dakka for literally Years: when are they going to do plastic aspect warrior. Maybe they’ll be squatted.
Gw : here you are are- new plastic banshees.
Dakka: they’re a bit plain.
Gw confirms sisters for November
Dakka barely a whisper.
As for warhammer legends , the reason the AOS version was never used was the lack of points. Gw promising to do a one and done points update for all the old warscrolls is great news.
I don’t know about 40k but there are many independent AOS tournaments that will happily allow those old warscrolls now.
New Lotr scenery is a very present surprise.
As for the new AOS faction, I’m not a massive fan of the basic infantry but that new mortarch is jaw dropping. I’m definitely going to pick it up as a painting project.

But the thing is
1) AOS is irrelevant.
2) 40k "reveal" is mediocre and rules bloat. When this is a significant PR move from GW.
SM Supplements/Codex are all ready out of date due to Psychic Awaking when they are hardly even released.

Apart from Shrike, who has to be THE UGLIEST model of the entire primaris line so far (which I think takes some doing), this update is pretty fun. Glad to see xenos get some love, especially as it seems that GW might finally retire those blasted finecast atrocities in the Eldar range - really tough lil models to work with, and easily the most damaged of any resin or finecast sculpts I've ever seen. Glad they look like they're being phased out, and I'm hoping that the other xenos will get some fun stuff too, finally. AND!!! INQUISITION!!! FINALLY!!! Too hyped for this, hope it comes out well, and we are blessed with some shiny (read grizzly and twisted) new models!
Sisters look really good, and I'm certainly warming up to some of the sculpts I had doubts about - though it looks like they've kept sister 'cuts her own hair drunk and blindfolded' and her daft smile, but I reckon there'll be enough helmets to deal with that. Very relieved, and will almost certainly grab some, if not all, as they really look fantastic.
Also hyped for Necromunda - I'm getting a very chaos-y vibe from the teaser, but maybe they're more flesh-eater courts? Or perhaps it's finally time for the long-hinted-at corpse guild?
Bonecrons are certainly... a vibe? I guess. I quite like the Katakros model, got some funky Prometheus vibes going on, though I think 4 other minis is a bit overkill in terms of a scenic base, and it chills my bones (god I'm hysterical) to think how much he'll cost.

I'm not gonna remember that Shrike has a shooting weapon. I'll still use my converted one using a Scythe and just throw a pistol on the base before I get the bloody thing painted.
