Had a bit of time for everything to sink in so here are my thoughts.
Awakening- need to see more but unlike many here , I usually enjoy gw campaign books. Looking forward to seeing where they take things.
Shrike. Not a fan of the model but I didnt like the old one either.
Howling Banshee. A very solid version of the model. Can't wait to see what else the Eldar get.
Legends. Good to see the AOS models getting points. I hope independent tournaments allow them. I don't see anyone beating gristlegore with gitmob so why not let people use them if they want?
Lotr- the scenery is cool and the wormtongue sculpt is awesome.
Interested to see what the warcry book offers. I have amassed a little collection of chaos monsters over the years so if I can put them straight onto a game, I will definitely buy the book.
Bonereapers. Not a fan of the infantry but the giant catapult is bonkers in a good way; love the hamster wheel. The mortarch is a fantastic looking model. I know it's not to everyone's taste on here after the lengthy discussion about the Hospitaller, but I love the fact that it is a diorama.
The sisters stuff all looks great except the canoness . I have a feeling that box set will sell like hot cakes.

40k:
Love the emo shrike, fits like a rasping glove.
Plastic aspects- nooo, they will never sell, why waste time on non-marine releases! It's called Marinehammer 40k, not Xenohammer!
Psychic awakening- the inquisitior lady got me all excited about getting rid of imperium of fail, but let's be honest not gonna happen. tease :C
Now for the fun stuff:
Interesting how they'll expand Warcry, will wait to see more.
Bony boys are fantastic, I love the idea of taking dead bone, reshaping it, and stuffing full of souls to run instead of just reanimating the dead as they were. The 4-headed elites look neat.
The rest is literally whatever.

It's been getting new models for past year. Albeit not in huge deluge stream but so far 2 supplements and bunch of new models. Wish they would get some non-hero models though.
Oh, I know. I'm just surprised buy how much support they've been getting.
Me I have been miffed at the LOW level of support...Okay not expecting tons of new stuff but at least one non-hero release once in a while would be nice and more importantly get at least OLD stuff back on sale! There's tons of profiles for armies which have HAD models but you need to buy them from ebay now for 40£+...Bloody hell. Cirdan was even made to order this year...MTO should be for variant poses and not for literally only sculpt made. Grumble grumble.

My general take on psykic awakening - A way to release new models and rules without having to update loads of codex's (invalidating 1 year old books isn't a popular idea) I suspect it will give them a chance to roil out bonus faction abilities for all the armies that are gained by taking a pure force, like the SM tactical doctrines. This would bring a little balance and give them rules to put out for the armies they don't have new models for.
Shrike - Far to Tacti-cool for my liking and I hate models walking around with massive blocks of scenery on their bases, I'll stay with my old one thanks. That and he looks like the winter soldier for some reason, surly he'd be an iron hand :-)
Banshee - I like, wouldn't look out of place next to the old models but much crisper and more dynamic - how updated models should be.
Sisters - gimme gimme!
Legends - Likely a good thing, at least they will hopefully update some of the stuff as they move it over from the index.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

So, my take on the reveal.
Kinda interested in the Psychic Awakening campaign. What I’m not interested though, is the potential of having more books for each army and the fact that I expect the release schedule to be something like over the next 8-12 months. If everything hasn’t already been tested together as a whole (probably not even considered) then I look forward to comparing the creep between book 1 and the last one.
Shrike. I played Raven Guard in 7th as I loved the Vanguard detachment of Scouts and VVets, but I never liked his model so didn’t get it. Ever since I heard he was supposedly getting a Primaris model I was pretty excited. But, WHY OH WHY did GW go down the fan stereotype of Raven Guard = emo for his model? I just don’t get it. It is frustrating. At no point in any of the novels covering Shrike is he portrayed as being emo or having hair that is styled that way (unless I just blanked that bit out). It’s gone from an instant buy, to a “let’s see what the supplement is like”. If I do get it, I’ll be removing the random feet claws, swapping the head and maybe giving him a different base. Probably won’t add the chest pouches on either if they are an optional piece. I am glad that he finally has a gun though!
AoS Skeletons. I don’t play AoS, but these could get me to start collecting some of it and trying it out. I really think they’d look absolutely amazing in person and in masse on the tabletop.
Banshees. Love this. I’m glad they’ve stuck to the finecast aesthetic and all. I’ve personally never had a problem with how they look, I’ve just had an issue with them being finecast. I can 100% see myself picking up some of these for my Craftworld collection and I hope that the conversion to plastic continues across the whole GW range, not just the Aspect Warriors.
I also don’t get why they’ve made a video about Shrike just being promoted to Chapter Master… Pretty sure he was promoted over 12 months ago?

None of the new releases really do anything for me. I can't really judge on the new Banshee models, since I don't play Eldar, but they look a similar style to the old ones with some updates. Could be a good thing they didn't go too wild with it, I dunno. That new Shrike model looks so.... off. It's just so silly looking. The biggest burn though is probably the new campaign (we all knew it was a campaign announcement). Shockingly little to no information about it other than it exists. Maybe Games Workshop want people to speculate about it, but with nothing to show, my pessimism will always tell me it's to hide something.
No comment on the new sisters stuff or other games (like the AoS skeletons). I don't play the other games, and I was never a fan of Sisters in the first place, so the new stuff isn't aimed at me anyways. Hopefully people like them though.

Of course, I don't expect much more for 'new rules' from these campaign books than some specialist detachments for most armies, with the occasional model update or new unit sprinkled in for the one faction each book like they did for the Vigilus campaign books.

Well, they might be Banshees with different weapon/head options. And there might be other kits. They are probably fanning out these old elite choices to a mini-Codex as they did with Harlequins, Rubric Marines, Plague Marines, etc.. That's been their m.o. thus far, anyways.
