To all the nay sayers, here is the announcement that new SoS and Custodes models are coming.

Sure, it's only one character each, so it won't be enough to keep anyone here happy. But lot's of folks here suggested that the sub-par WD dex meant SoS fadingaway into Legends. I keep telling everybody there will be an Agents Dex.

The Valerian guy looks just like Chrisopher Walken.

Not a fan of Valerian's face, but both are decent sculpts. Good to see SoS expanded

Could have done something better to distinguish the Custodes character, he looks like a kitbash with a rando head on. Good to see SoS might finally get a character that isn't Krole.

SOS will need a bit more, but the custodes guy looks a little odd to me. Not really that exciting on there own.

I don't think there's any mention of them being Forge World models, and the characters are from a 40k novel.

They're likely plastic.

In any regards, they're not Forge World. They'll be available in February on the Black Library day(which means they can be purchased/ordered in GW stores).

His pose actually makes me wonder if his original 3D model was larger and then got downsized to fit into a product marketing demand for the size of sprue (and thus mould). The head and position of his sword arm and sword suggest that perhaps the chest and legs were bulkier originally and then got rescaled for production.

As I said elsewhere, the Custodes characters face sculpt is awful.

The sad part is that it's going to be a fairly large box, in all likelihood, so the sprue size wouldn't have any real issues.

What a waste of effort for GW to spending their time and money on useless models like these. Though I guess the soon-to-be-basically-legended SoS need more models, so maybe not a complete waste… Still, there are so many other factions that I'd rather see gettin' some love, like I dunno… DE for example.

Hell, if they released a Kroot HQ I'd buy one in a heartbeat, even with those insane clampack prices of today.

furthermore, the minis are clearly tie ins for a novel.

Seeing they are M42 characters, the Custode is painted actual auramite gold, not dirty, ugly sooted brass FW uses for their AC, and the capes, laurels, and all the other thin elements aren't inch thick, there is about 0% chance of them being FW's handiwork

Yeah, but we don't know if its a Skitarii HQ, or even if its Ad Mech. It would be great if it were, but it could be a Spyre as well, or something from AoS.

custodes and sisters of silence are hardly overflowing with model stuff dude, these types of complaints when space marines come out have a bit of a point, when custodes get something new it comes off as just fething entitled.

Don't custodes already have HQs though? I mean, I'm not against them getting more models, just that it seems odd for them to get an HQ model when they already seem to have one. Technically they do actually have a decent range, its just that a lot of it is Forge World.
Not against SoS getting more stuff. Their range is really small. They do have a great looking transport...but again, its Forge World only.
