Thanks everyone. Sorry I’ve not been super Dakka-active of late. I am actually still quite hobby active. We’ve been building a Tomb Kings army in fact, just not documenting every step of it. Getting the boy into old WFB has been good craic.
But back to this project which has been on the back burner for a bit. I’ve gotten these two painted.
Not my finest work but given the size of them I’m glad to have two done. I have a wire frame for a third started but we’ll see what time and enthusiasm allows.

Not your finest work you say? Look pretty good moles to me, but then again you do keep setting that bar pretty high! Tomb kings with your lad sounds cool too, hopefully we get finished pics at least

Cheers Gobert.
Well let’s see what we’ve got, cause I have still been keeping in with the monthly painting challenge.
So it being Halloween season the shops have all sorts plastic crud like this fella, who I reckoned was just about perfect scale for a bone giant.
I chopped and pinned his joints into position and gave him a giant blade and some funky Egyptian-esque costume with EVA foam.
And painted him up for the September painting challenge.
Nothing like a centerpiece to start a new project!

Impressive use of the skeleton, it certainly looks the part as your centrepiece! Did your lad help with the cutting of shapes for the Egyptian jewellery? My kids loved making their costumes for Egyptian day

Not so much gobert. He just cringes and makes “I’m not so sure” noises when I do something he doesn’t like. So then I have to change it. Like when the skeleton had an Egyptian top knot hairdo that had to be changed into a crown thing. He keeps me in the cool lane. Automatically Appended Next Post: In other news. Reading the first page of this P&M Blog a few years late, that's such a nice thing to do for your kids. Very accurate models to the stuffed toys as well. I wish you nothing but the best of times being a father to loving children. Cheers, mate.

And then there’s Yip Yip the protesting pup who has an assortment of vociferous picket line options.
Pups like to party afterall.

Thanks Bulli. Glad you’re enjoying the whole project.
Back to M&M there was a request for a magic Dwarf so here we go again, it’s sculpting time.
The plan is to base him off this classic warhammer wizard as much as dwarfishly possible.

Thanks Cap, glad you got such a kick out of the big boney fella.
Yes gobert you absolutely should dig out the old empire lads and give them a dust off, if not to show us your old empire wizzard.
And speaking of wizards,
This boyo is fully sculpted and ready for paint.

You know what KC, I’ve found it all comes down to support. If you have something the right shape underneath supporting the thing you’re sculpting on top of it then it’s easier to get it the right shape. Just build in layers supporting what’s to go on next. That’s what I’ve learned anyway. You can’t push a tool into the putty if there’s nothing under it to push against.

Back on tour with the Doggy Henchmen band.
The lead singer of the Bad Doggies was made under the working name of Elvis but my creative director has another name in mind. (That I can’t remember right now)
And then we have another two on guitar and drums.
And just one more doggie to go.

Iron Maiden jokes aside, those are some great sculpts and you are an inspiration to us all.
