Proportions match the look of the recent Sly Marbo miniature, complete with thick wristwatch, so my money is on something Catachan related

Catachan was my first thought too. Ork binoculars would have some customization.

They're now S4 so GW might be doubling down on the bodybuilder look, making them more like Goliaths than just burly humans.

I AM people! Or something.

I'd buy better Catachans and/or Kroot in any case. My old Catachans are...not looking very good.

Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.

It's very clearly a human arm and binoculars, the exact same set of binoculars as from the Heavy Weapons Team boxed set.

My first thought was Ork Kommando. Actually I’m still going that way. The musculature and style of paint job and contrast look like the Ork range and style.

While Ork Kommandos are undoubtably cooler.
Catachans need new models a lot more desperately in my opinion.

And the lack of nails on that hand don't make it look very Orky.

A ratling or a squat, I’d say. The arm is too short for an orc or a human. The binoculars and nails are too tidy for orcs as well.

I want it to be a Kommando, but I think catachan is more likely, the hand just isn't very orky

unless it's something necromunda?

Spoiler:

How? None of those models has a binocular or a watch that matches the rumor engine. Just having a telescope isn't good enough, since orks and catachan can have similar equipment.

None of the Psychic Awakening stuff we've gotten so far has been subfaction locked. More likely, if we get anything Guard, it would be an updated Basilisk kit(the current one is ancient and requires the Vehicle Accessory Sprue to be completed since the parts for the Chimera they give you don't actually have the hull mounted weapon on them! ) or some of the various "Regimental Advisors"(Master of Ordnance, Master of the Fleet, Primaris Psyker, Astropath) in a plastic boxed set.

I'm sure someone will be along shortly to say "BLOOD ANGELS! DARK ANGELS! BLACK TEMPLARS!"
Two of those(Blood Angels and Dark Angels) are their own factions, and Black Templars didn't get any models. So nyah!

The Blackstone Explorer models are all on shared sprues. They'd have to be physically cutting them apart to sell them individually.

Even the ones in Escalation are!

Which is, to be fair, a thing they do with tons of their sprues.

If you look at like half of the kits GW produces you'll see joins where the sprue has been attached to another sprue and cut off.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

There's a difference between the sprues being attached to another sprue(usually said sprue is in the same kit) and physically cutting the individual items off of the sprue which is what would have to be done here.

I'd be interested if you've found any sprues where there are cuts but it's a single sprue kit.

If that is a Catachan then the new minis will be so poorly proportioned they'd have been better off leaving the old ones. Personally I'd hope for something more Kairic acolyte in build.

I still think it's a palstic kommando. It fits with two other rumour engines and Orks have been rumoured for a new release soon (saga of the beast). The binoculars fit since Blood Axes have always used Imperial gear and I feel people have an exaggerated view of just how ramshackle Ork gear is anyway. As for talons I'd say that each of those fingers end in a downward sloping point. The claws are likely there, just indistinct.

One of the more interesting rumour engines for a while tbh.

I agree with this also.

My first thought was Kommando, some of the more recent Orks have much less pronounced claws.

It also fits in with the Ork boot.

That said it could be Catachan and that would be no loss, we're almost certain a new Ork model with the boot and the "engine" before it. A new IG model wouldn't hurt either.

Which isn't at all the same thing as what Kan is saying. GW creates single sprues of a few different sizes. So if you pull three sprues from a box, you're just pulling one sprue that has been divided up into 3 sections. You'll see the breaks between each section that they do manually to fit them in the box. But the contents of the overall sprue will just be one unit type.

The Blackstone Fortress (and Escalation, and Shadowspear, etc.) sprues are different in that they have lots of different units/model types all jumbled together. They cannot just sell the Astropath from Escalation because she's part of a larger sprue with lots of other minis.

Except they redid ratlings recently and proportions don't match at all:

My first thought was Catachans, but I could maybe see it being a ratling. For those of you saying the proportions look odd, I'd say look at the brush strokes on the strap of the binos. I think that gives you a better notion of scale, as otherwise GW have been rather smart about the cropping etc with this, in being ambiguous and confusing to the eyes.
