There was a very similar rumor hammer a while back, if im not mistaken again.
It was obviously a croquet club then, and still is. Difference is this is confirmation its a full croquet team, not just a vagabond free-club mercenary.

This. A really ornate, elegant warhammer, with quite a narrow head, would suit elves (like the elven warhammer in Skyrim). A large maul, less so.
