I'm roughly 50% split between Bel'Akor and some ship-type thing for Vampire Coast

I was also gonna suggest Be'lakor, and that was before I was reminded the old model has skulls hanging in chains from his wings. He really deserves a new kit.

Be'lakor is one the few Daemon models not in plastic.
This could easily be him.

It does look very much like that left wing.

But it’ll probably end up being a standard bearers banner or something

Pretty confident it’s a chaos model at the very least.
The attachment point from the skull to the chain is the typical chaos star point.
Considering how close it is to Be’lakor, I’d say he’s finally getting a new model.

The wing/chain/skull may have some similarities to Be'lakor, but the previously previewed barbed tail(?) is nothing like what his previous design has. Could be a new design, could be two separate kits, could just be a new Chaos creature that also likes adorning its wings with skulls.

Would be interesting to see a new design for him, though I feel there isn't much to improve on the old one. Just grabbed a metal version from ebay a few months ago in fact, since it's such a nice classic sculpt.

He also wasn't nailed to a rock! The chains do seem to be the same style in both images. Could be something stupid like he now has a pet demon chained to the rock on his base.

Chain is definitely the same style, but if the faction is getting one model it's likely to be getting more, so could be from different models, yea.

Reminds me of the harpoon from the untamed beasts kit, so certainly seems to fit the nautical theme as of late.

Beastclaw raiders have a spear like that. Stonehorn has a serrated spear, but the haft is different.

We have not ever gotten the "Embailors" or their Namarti Huntsman helpers. They're Idoneth that are a bit more feral and savage. They're the ones who capture and break the creatures that the Idoneth use as mounts. The description pointed towards more brutalish designs and aesthetics.

It would be more like elves with warbeasts than fish elves.

The Embailors use a kind of 'mindmagic' on the creatures that the Idoneth utilize(which is, fluffwise, why all the mounts have blinders on--it took awhile for them to realize it worked best with the eyes blinded) to keep them from eating the Idoneth. There's a few creatures mentioned that could fit the bill for a crab-claw.

the idoneth are supposed to be the fish elves

I think that maybe hes referring to the idoneth when he says fish elves, but I maybe wrong.

I say it's vampires. The serrated tip is one thing, but the bit that fixes it to the shaft reminds me a lot of one of the spears from the plastic skeletons of old. I could just see GW go back an emulate that design for a new undead model.

That item looks Destruction or Chaos, not Order let alone Aelf.
