It looks literally nothing like Chaos, especially 40K one. Chaos weapons tend to be well crafted, warped and mutated, and more often than not feature stars or god icons. Something this thing is complete opposite of.

Though it feels like Blood Bowl stuff on second though for some reason, IMO.

To me it looks just like Ogre stuff of fantasy days. So new ogres for AoS surely.

Very much Ogre-esque, but what exactly? Only figure with a club that could do with an update (i.e. still in Finecast) is the Hunter, and for the him I wouldn't expect that much metal (more teeth, stone, whatever).
Maybe super-versatile plastic Maneater kit with a massive amount of customization options..? Very unlikely, but hey, a man can dream.

Now. Then.

Then now now then the now now then!

The sculpt detail on those bent nails? That to me suggests a scale above Ogre - because I can’t imagine a smaller scaled sculpt surviving packaging and shipping?

They can really give any ogre a club. Just having a decent Butcher would be nice.
Or some new entries.

After Lumineth and Idoneth doodahs and swirl, I am convinced GW decided that practicality can be ignored and make bits as thin as possible by the material.
That being said, it's clearly Ogor-Neth, the new aelf-ogor alliance unit

They could, but I wouldn't expect them for a few units - a Butcher for example would more likely be armed with a cleaver, bone saw or meat tenderizer. A big spikey club; less fitting. I'd also rule out Gorgers or Yhetees, even if both could do with new kits. Which doesn't leave too many kits in the present range.

Alternative option: Ogre ally for Warcry. Because almost any kit could be something for Warcry.

If we have new Ogre miniatures in the pipeline, wouldn't they have released them back when they updated the book? A man can hope, but I don't think this will be some fatties tbh

No, because that’s almost the point of these campaign books. A way to throw out lots of models outside of book release.
These books could arguably be right in the middle of the two battletomes too (as wasn’t it a while back when the last came? They might not have had this ready then also)

the book is already a year old by now, so they can get new models in boxsets and/or during campaigns(and we are now at the start of a campaign series called broken realms)

Design seems to be a Sigmarite design. I know people don't want more Stormcast, but I'd be 100% okay with it being a new thing for the Vanguard Chamber. For hunters and marksmen, they tend to not have anything outwardly huntery.

Yeah. Quiver of 'arrows' for sigmarines, sadly.

Puzzled by the fairly poor fletching shaped like lightning and comets, though. Metal fletching is just... Odd.

Are these even arrows? They have some kind of rounded nub at the end instead of a notch. Can't think of anything else they could be, tho, and none of the other Sigmarine projectiles make any sense, either, sooo ...

Crossbow bolts?

Seems likely to be sigmarines but I can hope that is a CoS priest’s quiver of thunderbolts. Or something.
Unrelated I note the design of the apparent fletching is both lightning and a (twin tailed) comet, which is neat.

Dunno, this looks nothing like existing ranged stormcast weapons. They use either crossbows (which this obviously is not) or ring pulled arrows. This looks like you draw it by central pin, suggesting normal sized hand, not stormcast glove. Why would Stormcast use worse variant of already existing design?

 Oguhmek wrote:

Far too long. Look at vanguard stormcast quivers, real crossbow bolts are very short and the models so far had realistic looking, square bolt cases. It's a bow, which incidentally means vanguard is out because they like crossbow-ish weapons.

I agree these don't look like arrows or bolts. The fletchings are all wrong and they lack a notch. My guess (for what that's worth) is a female stormcast javalin thrower.

Either that or javalin-squigs, of course.
