Sorry for the lateness on this, January totally got away from me! 2days to vote for Feb’s theme, the final round of the 2019-20 rotation! Your options this time are:

Final Boss: Whether a Big Bad Evil Guy or whatever the Good Guy equivalent of that is, your entry should represent the biggest, toughest combatants your collection can muster, likely to be the last foe to face before they are defeated.

Double Or Nothing: Your entry can feature whatever models you wish, but there must be two, linked in some way. Two warriors from the same squad, or two foes facing each other in a diorama, so long as there’s two minis you’re good.

Grunt Work: This one is for the little guys. Your entry should be comprised of standard troops (or equivalent). No heroes here, just the average Joes of your army, from Stormtroopers to Guardsmen, Spearmen to Skeletons.

Not Of This World: Whether the spawn of Old Gods, the Demons of a terrifying plane, aliens from unknown space or the lingering souls of those long dead, there are some things that defy explanation. Your entry should feature such creatures.

Ooh I think I have something for most of these... Hmm. I'm going to go for final boss so I can paint kharn, but I think I'll be OK with any really.

Hm, I should be ok with any of these. Some might be a little bit of a stretch. Probably wraithguard for not of this world.

Final boss for me, can get that morgraur done that I wanted to do for December.

Is it wrong that “Final Boss” makes me want to 3D print something low-res, and take advantage of all the layer lines to go all 8-bit?

Man those old metal doom miniatures would be perfect for that. But the cyber demons cost hundreds on ebay.

I voted for Double or Nothing as then it would match up with doing two Sister's tanks again.

Wow, truly a great selection for me. I voted for Grunt Work, but I have lots of possibilities for each of those!

I took a risk with the weather and primed something for final boss. Probably my least favorite of the options, but I’m ready. The others I have stuff on deck already.

Voted for out of this world, but have also something lined up if Final Boss wins.

Final Boss is more than appropriate for tha last "battle" of the season.

Voted not of this world, can do the others but not final boss, really cant think of anything to do for that one

I voted for "double or nothing" as I still have two Kataphron Destroyers which need to be painted. Could also do "Grunt Work" though, as I could also need more Skitarii Vanguard at the ready.

Looks like it's gonna be "Final Boss". I may have to pass on this one, as I don't have anything befitting this theme, which I'd like to paint at the moment. Belisarius Cawl and Guilliman would surely fit the theme, but I don't think I'd be able to pull them off in only a month (I'm a rather slow painter).

I’m also a pretty slow painter and managed Guiliman in a month for Dec 18’s open round. If your options are not to enter, or a stretch goal, might as well give it a shot! One of the things this comp is good for is to push ourselves as hobbyists. Worst case, you get partly done and finish it off out side the comp. Best case, you finish, enter, and win glory and the accolades of your peers. Plus have a nice centerpiece model to terrorize your foes with on the table.

I've a few ideas for each of them but Final Boss or Not of this World would be ideal as I'm planning on doing that model anyway. the Double or Nothing could also be good but I have just finished my natural choice for that, and my initial idea doesn't release for a few months so fingers crossed!

I may be branching out of 40k depending on my salary and if my ebay watchlist doesn't shift too soon!

I've got a few daemons awaiting paint so went for Not of this world. They will fit any category though as there is a daemon prince for final boss and lesser daemons for the other two

I went with BBEG too, 'cause I need to paint Syll'Esske/The Bogatyr.

Between my Slaanesh soup and my possessed Drukhari, I can cover all bases.

Well I may steal Nevelon's idea as it looks like "Final Boss" my be happening. I have a good model to 3D print, which should be fun. I don't know that I can pull off the 8-bit paint job though... so it will probably just be a normal paint job!

The closest thing I have to a Final Boss left to paint is an old Escher Gang Leader, that is about as terrifying a model in the unpainted pile.

Unless I obtain one of the old metal Phoenix Lords I am looking for.

Now that I actually know what the category will be at the beginning of the month, I'll be able to prepare properly! Doesn't mean I'll actually finish, but there we go...

I have a couple of options for the final boss even though it is the most difficult for me to get complete due to time restraints but I will have something primed and ready!
