Because they're candles.

Not models which have a variety of mediums.

Very true.

Apparently scented candles are now an option on the table.

Since rules match the models, will we be seeing a tau ethereal with flamer in the new codex?

You know what would be fantastic; a Jokaero weaponsmith in the Underhive.

I'd love a kroot bounty hunter, even if it was just the model from blackstone fortress. If we can get a beastman bounty hunter, Kroot should be ok

If we are going there then what would get me nuts would be a "Necromunda bestiary" with loads of new creatures to hunt. And pure solo RPG campaign.

Arent jokaero incapable of communicating with humans? I dont see how you could realistically make sense of one living freely in the underhive

One escapes from the upper spire, maybe brought to the planet alongside a rogue trader or an inquisitor. Maybe it somehow befriends some under-hiver or xenos or abhuman, and both can be hired. However, given the nature of Jokaero, it's just as likely to help improve your gangs weapons as it is to aid your rivals.

Figured a Jokaero would be a gang hanger-on; the gang found it wandering the undelivered and took it in for safe keeping, entirely out of their charitable nature, of course

I’d love a “Beasts, Bounty Hunters and Aberrants” book, to further expand all of the gribblies and denizens you could find hiding in various corners of the underhive, how to use them as monsters and a set of missions to recruit/capture them. Would be a good excuse to resurrect other Blackstone kits such as the Ambull or even the Zoat.

I would loooove it if they started taking some supplements in a more coop/solo/RPG direction

The depth of the new releases and the variety of models already has me desperately looking for ways to run a more RPG-like Necromunda experience, but none of the 40K RPGs I've looked into seem very suitable for dank, greasy, gang-level play, since they mostly seem to offer superheroic character builds

Would love to hear from anyone who has adapted Dark Heresy or Wrath and Glory for Necromunda, though

Dark Heresy was pretty low level and grimey iIRC but admittedly that's the opinion of a lontime Deathwatch player/GM who just used the lower power level books for NPCs and comparison. Wrath and Glory tier one is pretty much the necromunda tier (with tier 2 for gang champions/leaders and such) though I haven't ever played it.

Solo Necromunda would be a legit game changer. Start with 500 cr, go on adventures, build up your gang, set up final boss, have fun along the way. If you cheat you are only cheating yourself. But lot of potential to fight other gangs, law enforcement, xenos, monsters…

Wrath & Glory has a tiered system which calls out a lot of underhive characters. Tier 1 is basically gangers (actual template) and basic troopers (think Guard deserter or Eldar Corsair lying low). Tier 2 has scavvies as a template but also allows you to as send a Tier 1 template. This would be your gang leader or specialists in late campaign. Tier 3 has the Desperado which is basically the Kal Jericho template. Seems a Tier 2 game would make characters experienced gangers but not so bad ass they could take on space marines or inquisitors…yet. This is where I think I’ll be playing, a Shadowrun-like game in the underhive.

It really wouldn't be a game changer though, at least in the eyes of GW. A Necromunda solo play option is a niche part of a niche market for GW. And between Osprey and a handful of other publishers, a sci-fi/post apoc skirmish system with a solo option that easily slots into the Necromunda hive world are out there in fairly plentiful amounts.

Spiders are nice. But I'm still miffed about the Cawdor release. I wanted to buy the Redeemer (mostly because of Malakev) and two packs of birds. Ended up buying nothing. 28€. No.

Picked up that Book of Shadows last week.

Not a big fan of the... spoiler. But it was pretty interesting to see the additions to the gang.

A few were a little fishy, but yeah. Interesting.

These aren't your mom's Delaques...

If you're looking for a good jakaro, as a gang hanger on, check out the Oranggutango, Cyber-Ape from reaper. He's right up your ally.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Agreed. The lore of the nudelaque is ridiculously bad imo. Just weird weird stuff that doesnt seems to fit the 40k setting. To be honest, i think that they went a bit too over the top with the lore of a few of the factions

They really dropped the ball with my fav gang. They don't resemble what Delaque used to be in either form or function. I guess they're a victim of Flanderisation more than some of the other gangs...
