Put me down for Sisters vs Necrons vs Deathwatch in Return to Sanctuary 101, and then pick up the plot hook of the disappearing nurgle fleet who jumped through the Tau portal but not to the Tau homeworlds for the Harlequins vs Deathguard vs Talons.

With Inquisition being relegated to WD-only codex, I think there's not much hope for them making an appearance...

Why ? They re-printed the Ynnari WD "codex" in the eldar books. Could well see inquisition being rammed in with sisters as page filled considering sisters got a brand new dex.

So there's already a "Return to Sanctuary 101" story in "Hammer & Anvil" and I don't see GW retreading that ground.

Can we get back to the topic? There’s another thread to discuss the Banshees and Jain Zar separate release.

They're a release, linked to PA, coming out after PA5 - according to the topic, they're on-topic.

Correct, according to where in the line the release is. It also would show you hopefully a precedent of how long you'd expect to wait for a solo release after a big box release according to PA standards which, if I was a player, and I am, I appreciate having that information.

Oh and congrats everyone, oh what a glorious day ! To be able to buy models outside a terrible box set. Truly to live in such a time of bounty.

That's a bit snarky to GW, but seriously though, congrats eldars, enjoy.

Fingers crossed for the later 2.0 update being one with larger model releases for everyone.

It would be really nice if they just released a handful of units for different armies every other month until they clear down the replacement list. A month with a biovores, flayed, and fire dragons for example, would please a lot of people and doesn't need a rules release.

At risk of being very slightly off topic, I agree with this and don't know why this is so hard for GW to do, and I'm still at a loss for why not kopptas other than pure meanness.

I can't think of a character more deserving of a retread than Ragnar Blackmane. The current model was already released when the 2nd edition box set game out back in 1992.

Yeah his model is terrible bad. I just don't want him in a big extra expensive box set then I might have to wait like eldar players if they make it extra unsavory as the phoenix one.

So far, every army in a PA book has been pictured in the original announcement showing what armies will receive PA supplements (which included Ynnari, Custodes and Sisters). Inquisition weren't in that announcement.

And yet Inquisition were key to the original story.

No one is assuming they'll headline, but having them in the Deathwatch PA book for example would make sense.

So a possibility that crossed my mind is that they could make Ragnar a Wulfen instead of a Primaris. Other than the Wulfen dread the Space Wolves lack a Wulfen character and it'd be a way to take the character that would be less expected.

Would people even like a wulfen Ragnar? Unless he can turn into a wolf, like that one Space Wolf guy with the unreleased FW model.

I feel like that would be equivalent to making Gabriel Seth fall to the black rage permanently, or any other BA character. Sort of an end to a character arc, since now they're just raving loons.

Then there was the "War of the Spider" rumour going around after the tracking invoice showed up. In Ritual of the Damned, in the page Echoes of Awakening, there is a blurb about the The Spider (Fabious Bile?) even though we've already had Slaanesh in Faith and Fury, but there have been several links to Emperors Children throughout.
There was also mention of Striking Scorpions, plus the suit of Phoenix Armour.

There is still a lot more to come, and I do expect it will culminate in some big reveals...probably Fulgrim or some other big release.

What other tidbits have there been in the baal and greater good book (I have neither of those)?

ON TOPIC - Ragnar will surely be Primaris. Wulfen are not the hot new thing that GW are pushing at the moment.

Wasnt it warp spiders? And Phoenix armour could be Phoenix Lord armour, as the Warp Spiders PL has been missing since the fall?

The war of the Spider kind of sounds like a necron thing to me, with their canoptek units and Illuminor Szeras was always dabbling into biological life forms to bring the Necrons their bodies back? He could be working on some type of Psyker harvest and making the old Necron Pariahs to combat all the psychic crap going on.

I think "this" is one of the stranger misses of the whole thing.

Having decided that Chaplains are D&D priests now, I thought it opened up a whole new vista of options.
A whole range of buff bot characters could have been given alternative options or flat buffs that are quasi-psychic abilities.
But instead... its just been make your own X with a few random extra bits.

Well, the scorpion story was in ritual of the damned.

Spider could also be webway and feature harlequins and Custodes. Who knows?

I'm not really sure how anything with the Webway would work with non Eldar races unless it was a Eldar + friend/meat shield V someone affair.

Loads of factions can get into the webway, it's been shown time and again in the fluff. The crucial part is that the Eldar know how to travel it as they have maps or hand specific knowledge down of how to travel it, other races do not.

But none of them are capable of using it, getting in with any regularity or even staying in it.

I wouldn't say it's been shown time and again either. Humans got in through a gate to nowhere they can't use anymore, were let in when Vect needed assassins and don't really have any other examples of getting in.
Chaos has Ahriman wandering around and Demons who get into parts that generally go nowhere at all.
Tyranids got in once through an open gate and were subsequently exterminated.
Orks can't get in and the same goes for Tau.

Necrons are the only ones who can get in and even then they need lore breaking gates to do it.

I'm sorry, are you hating on primfangs? God, everyone is so sensitive about space wolf stuff, primfangs have been coming in the lore for AGES you guys!

I just love how my primfang alphaclaw with twin frostwolf helclaws is posed doing a quintuple corkscrew backflip off the corpse of magnus. It's actually part of the primfang initiation ritual to kill him and banish him back to the warp - you actually can't wolfscend to alphaclaw status until you present magnus' skull or one of his nipple horns to the primfang packmaster.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Necrons reactivating their Dolmen gates to break back into the Webway on a large scale and fighting with the Harlequins would be a decent hook for a Webway War book.

Fan of lore, stealthy black-armored marines, life-alert black-armored marines, and lunatic necrons.

The Khan has entered it before also. An inquisitor has visited the black library (under eldar escort I concede). Anyway, my point wasn't that it is super common, but other forces do enter it.

It is weird. Especially since the 8th ed Mechanicus codex has them chasing down psychic STCs and yet we're not even seeing any of that there.

Also Fabius bile has a semi complete map of the webway and has used it a few times for travel , veilwalker gave him a more complete map at the end of the 2nd fabius book, fabius himself mapped a portion out but now has map that includes directions to commoragh. So his EC warband can likely decently move around it.

Harlequins seem comfortable giving fabius some run of the webway.
