Woot! One of my favourite comedic actors, Rick Moranis is returning to the big screen.

For those unaware, his wife sadly passed away around 1991, and in 1997, finding his career affected his parenting, he made The Big Boy decision to focus on his family (serious props on that). And he's not really worked since, barring some voiceover work.

But he's coming back in Shrunk, a direct sequel to 'Honey I Shrunk The Kids', which retains the original director.

I for one welcome him back.

I thought he would only return for Mel Brooks?

"You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks

Spaceballs II: The Search for More Money confirmed?

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

Disney Plus has all the "Honey, I BLANK the Kids" movies. I am about to binge them for nostalgia and prep for the new one.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

On the subject of Spaceballs sequels, a few years after the films release apparently Moranis and Brooks did discuss a sequel, one of the two suggested titles has already been mentioned, but Moranis himself suggested the bonkers

"Spaceballs 3: The search for Spaceballs 2

For some reason, this always makes me giggle.

Really good to hear he`s coming back

I dare say if he enjoys his time on Shrunk, Spaceballs 2 could very well be in the offing, at some point?

It's great to hear he is back to work. I'd love to see a Spaceballs 3 movie. They should start it right up after the last film. That way they don't have to explain why it took thirty years to make a film like Star Wars did.

Speaking of quitting on career to focus on family I think most of the greats did it. People say Eddie Murphy jokes eventually sucked without realizing he kept things to dad jokes for the kids. Good to see him back in the game for him and Rick Moranis. They need to show some of these newer comedians what a really funny joke looks like.

Another of my favorites that never really retired was Stephen Colbert. Too bad after his comedy central show things went downhill. His previous show was made by mad comedy geniuses.
