Interesting to see how your painting style works on something that’s not a super clean and snazzy Infinity model; nice work Modock

I'm going to have to bow out of this month. I've put no paint on Khârn at all. Been painting and building middle earth dioramas all month instead. Will have to save him for another month.

Cheers, It was quite a relief not to be super clean with the painting. Overall the effect turned out pretty well.

Made a start on the chapter symbols today, wolf and dragon are tricky but I think I am doing ok with the others.

I finished before the month is out! I didn't have as much free time as I thought I would. Being quarantined is a lot of work!

I've finished Roboute Guilliman, Primarch of the Ultramarines.

As I've mentioned, he's the hardest thing I've ever painted. Detail overload! Still, I'm glad to have got him finished. After I finished him, I painted a goblin, one of the Zarbag's Gitz Warhammer Underworld warband, in about half an hour.

Wow. It might have taken a lot of effort, but 100% of that effort is on show in the final piece. Superb, and that's coming from someone who ordinarily doesn't like that model much!

Hope you're feeling better soon.

Thanks mate. Looking at the pictures now, I'm getting annoyed with the areas that aren't perfect and wanting to go and touch them up.

I do feel better, actually. The cough is still hanging around, and I have a bit of a lack of energy, but I'm much better than this time last week. I don't know if I had Covid-19 or just a different virus, but if I did I got off pretty lightly.

Great job, Modock and feltmonkey - incredible jobs as always; felt's face is awesome whilst I really love the stains and weathering on the Nurgle Lord.

Covid has been making it pretty impossible for me to paint lately (I don't have it, I just mean the extra challenges at work and home lately), but I am going to try to get an entry done. Here is my proof for...well, tomorrow!

Here's my Chaos Space Marine ghost.

Had to finish it yesterday, because I'm away from home this week. I could've done better though. Really would've liked to add OSL on the stones and some of that red on the edges of the muzzle and axe as power weapon.
The idea behind this was making a ghost like appearance, like he's bursting out of the ground with the "ecto plasm" flowing from him. That and the "hurricane" were done with my glue gun, because of time/skill issues (not so experienced with sculpting yet). Added some skulls, just as in the Balewind Vortex. There's not exactly very visible, maybe I should've painted them entirely red and just the eye sockets and the same green as the surroundings.
Oh well, I'll consider this as a learning project.
If you have any feedback for my paint job / build job, please LMK!

That's a really cool idea, Tim 121RVC. I think the Ghostbusters are going to have their hands full with this one.

I'm bringing some shabby work to this event, but I got it over the line in time (midnight GMT will come before toddler bedtime tomorrow, so it's got to be now). I'm most pleased with the pace... these guys were white undercoat until last Friday night. I have been hustling to meet the League of Extraordinary Riveters contest deadline (also tomorrow) with a much more ambitious project, and this squad just sat around (as they have for 20 years). I did Contrast (Apothecary White) on Friday, painted everything else in one sitting on Saturday, finished my terrain on Sunday, and photographed and posted both entries tonight... time invested is probably a few hours total. At this pace, I can turn around a Brigade this summer while not slacking on my Sisters. I had imagined waterslides, lens effects, and other grand ambitions, but I'm just pumped to not miss a month. So, thanks again, and see you next month!

‘Fraid I’m falling at the first hurdle this year; just really don’t have the motivation to paint this month (plus I’ve lost my painting desk to work).

So late entry for me... I hope this does qualify as space marine. If not, oh well still got some painting done which is the main goal here right?
I did all the painting last night and unfortunately didn’t get around to building him an appropriate base. He will join my desert themed Tau kill team that I’m currently building up. I really like how he turned out, although I might go back and add some earphone to the helmet (it was shaved down on all the tau I own by the previous owner, but I kinda like it)

Honestly was sitting on this for a week trying to snap better photos but I'm still struggling to find a set-up that gives me good macro shots.

Even if the photos aren't perfect you can tell that's a popping space wolf.

I had ordered some weathering powders and fancy chameleon paints from green stuff world to use on shrike, and perhaps unsurprisingly given the current crisis, they haven't arrived yet. So I'm switching my entry to some spiky space marines. Hopefully I can bash these out and still have something to submit.

Awesome work DV8 as always and putting my wolf attempt to shame.

Here's my finished pics, in hindsight pink wasn't the best choice of colour for the ropes on the ultramarine but I'm reasonably happy with everything else. Would have done some weathering too but I ran out of time faffing around with the chapter symbols.

Some brilliant stuff coming in here!

I've made the fatal mistake this month of going for a Space Wolf at the same time as DV8, but still, pretty pleased with this all told. The base could use more work, but I've spent long enough on this and it at least came together how I intended, which is always a worry when I try these sorts of more dynamic bases, they've never been my strong suit.

Great work everyone!

Here is my Cult Primaris - probably the fastest mini I've done for one of these challenges but at least it means I have entered every month for a few years now!

Hi All, I really hope everyone is staying safe and well out there.

Thought I'd have more time for hobby stuff now that the UK is on lock down and working from home but doesn't seem to be the case at the moment.

I couldn't get the SOB I was painting finished in time so just have to settle for a simple Librarian for my custom chapter, The Knights Sanguine

However, much more importantly my 4 year old daughter also finished her first models, shes much quicker than me........

Very proud of her and that she sat down and painted it with me, I glued it together for her

Can I be allowed a few extra minutes beyond midnight? The wash is drying on the base and I'm not sure it'll be dry by 12, especially since the texture paint wasn't quite dry when i put on the wash.

@Midget Gems: Seems like she's got the most important part of painting Marines figured out, covering them in weathering! Mud up to the knees is a strong start!

@CREEEED: Sure, there's always an extra few hours to get stuff in. the 12pm is really just a formality.

@Maharg Lovely work there, really striking job on the black and red.
