Just in time!! Due to time constraints not my best work but I'm happy enough with them. Though the bases could certainly have been much better! Lack of resources and time!

For the first things I've actually fully painted in almost a year now (I think), and done in one evening, pretty happy with them. Very happy I decided to just do three, since I'm already late. (click on images for higher res)

So I wanted to take part... I even got proof photos, and got everything base coated. I then got COVID-19, swiftly followed by a cyst on my chest getting infected so painting is well out of hte window right now as I cant lean forward :(.

Some awesome entrys this month mind you, painting a Space Wolf Primaris Ancient was probably not the best idea with some of the examples on show!

Next month I will be diving into my pile of shame, assuming I can get this cyst down.

I once had a pretty nasty cyst too, hope you get better soon, they can be real buggers when they get infected.

Cheers buddy. I have had it for years with no dramas, then after my COVID infection it has gone mental after one of the kids jumped on me and squashed it against the floor. Its like I have a second head growing on my chest right now, but i have some pretty strong anti-biotics so fingers crossed its not a trip A and E to have it cut out, hospital is the last place I need to be right now!

On the plus side, I tested out my new redgrassgames wet pallette and brushes - result is, they are all fantastic. Especially the brushes, I cant reccomend them enough.

Get well soon, Garrlor. Hope you can enter next month.

Those Redgrass brushes do look good. I've been using their wet palette for ages and it's great. Maybe I'll give one of their brushes a try.

I have a couple of questions about Redgrass stuff if you don'tmind me asking.

Are there brushes better than Windsor Newton series 7 sable brushes?

About the wet palette, how long do the sheets last before having to use a new one? I see you get 50 sheets with the starter pack and can buy batches of 50 online, do you need to buy these regularly?

I cant answer for the brushes but I can the wet palette, the paper is replaced when you run out of space basically so unless you used the same colours over and over then the paper shouldn't need replacement as often

I hope I'm not too late, but here are my final photos of Asmodai, the Dark Angels' Master of Repentance:

I'm very happy with how he turned out. Jury's still out on whether or not this new photo background setup is any good (foam might be a little too "sparkly". Looking forward to the voting, especially since it looks like I don't have the only Dark Angels entry this month!

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):

Hi buddy,

The brushes are outstanding. At least on a par if not better than the series 7. There is a real snap to them and you always know where the point is. It is a size 2 and size 0 only, but they both paint amazingly thin and accurate lines. I would highly reccomend them.

I am hopefull of starting the next months challenge after easter, ended up having surgery on Wednesday night. Not the most pleasant experience I have ever had, ill be honest. Just waiting to heal so I can lean and bend properly agian now!

Seconded - these things can be a struggle when there's only a handful of contestants, great work!
