Thought I'd post post this here for anyone who's interested. The Kickstarter campaign for the new rules and miniatures for the 15mm Quar - think WW1 ant-eaters with the same eagerness for war as orks - has gone live, from Zombiesmith.

This Quar's War - Second Edition!

Welcome to the launch of the second edition of This Quar's War and Quar miniatures in 15mm! Ok, technically it is a relaunch. We sold Quar in 15mm for a number of years. We liked them, but they could have been better. Now they are! We have completely redone the line from scratch. We have 6 factions with dozens of unique poses and 3-4 vehicles in each and a brand new rulebook and theatre book!

All figures are pewter or resin and all vehicles are resin with metal bits. The books will be full color and, in our typical style, will be clean and easy to read with loads of art and fluff.

The production of the two books and cards is why we need your help! We will get a much better deal on printing these items if we can buy them as one mass instead of our usual print on demand!

Glad to see the Quar still kicking! I had a few of the 28s, but I think 15mm is really a good spot for these guys. With 15mm you can have a more compact table, or have a good size battle with some more abstraction on a standard 4x6. I think I will be bidding at the army level as I like a hard copy of the book, but the two player starter may be the smarter buy.

I always looked forward to seeing the latest quarter's developments at Kublacon or Endgame (RIP-classiest game store in the bay area).

They look really distinctive. Great sculpting.

Are there any available through resin or other non-metal media?

Got a friend who’s super into this setting. I think it looks like the right kind of enjoyably dumb.

I have 28mm Quar for their skirmish game, and we are supporting this KS as well. Such a fun and unique setting, and the new sculpt are amazing -- especially the tanks. The infantry
have a tone of character as well.
I agree with the above poster -- 15mm adds a lot of versatility with a mass battle game. So glad this is rolling.

Looks like metal infantry, guns and cavalry, and resin for vehicles.

The creator uses the term "grimsical" - grimly whimsical - which works very well.

Always had a bit of a soft spot for this setting, I might have to pick some of this up.

I do like the Quar - but not 15mm. Those figures look good though.
