Lionel looks nice but I have to admit I like the recent Master Lazarus more. It's not a dig on this model but rather a compliment to the sculptor of the other.

Less interested in faboulus bean and more into his new men.

Anyone notice the Lion is holding the Wolf Blade from the HH books?

Not sure about Fabius' face, much prefer the original Jes Goodwin version. Maybe it's just the paintjob?

Either way, anything remotely related to the Emperor's children is a must buy for me.

The Lion is pretty cool.

A mountain creature for Lumineth. The whole Aelf faction is divided up elementally. Looks like he'll be the lord of the mountainy ones. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a big hammer or something.

I must fellate the person who sculpted the Lion. He's up there with Horus as a contender for best Primarch model.

Shame he's not on a duel base with Kurze, but as it stands, thats a lovely pile of dead Night Lords.
Love the helmet, hope he has an unhelmeted head too! Be great to a Lion Sword option too.

You mean Cypher ? The Lion sword is broken by Roboute at some point so maybe the mini is supposed to be after that.
And yes it's broken after the Thramas Crusade.

Yes I agree, Lion looks to perhaps be the best of them judging from just the image. I'd put a decent few others before Horus in second place though.

Huh. I'm not as big a fan of the Lion as I thought I might be. Feels a little static for my liking (as in, he's clearly in motion, but I don't feel the sense of movement).

His armour and sculpting looks great, I just want to modify his pose.

Not what I said. Nor is it on topic but whatever.

They've hyped his reveal as "the biggest ever!", "Prepare for 2 hours of GW goodness!!!" and "you won't want to miss it" - the images here could be from any other reveal and aren't particularly warranting the level of hype GW are trying/have built around them. A new edition would be worthy of this hype or the return of a Primarch back to 40k. This is all standard stuff now.

In any case, I know it'll never happen, but I really hope one day they'll go back and do a resculpt of Our Lord Angron. The sculpting on the latter Primarchs really is fantastic, and it really shows with Angron. I'd also love to see a helmet option for him, even though I'm not sure he's ever been described as wearing one. While they're at it, the World Eater models could also use some resculpts, too.

I think the key difference there is that Ghaz was never pegged as "the biggest eva reveal" that "you wont want to miss!!"

On topic and now I've responded to everyone that seems more interested in my opinion than the thread itself - the Lion looks really static to me and I don't think it's a great sculpt at all. He doesn't look like he's in motion, which I assume the model is supposed to convey. Not my cup of tea.
