Seriously - again - this is GW hype train fail. If they'd said AT THE ANNOUNCEMENT this was going to be spread over 4 weeks, we'd be less salty. Instead, we went into this event - over an hour into it even - expecting this was it, and only then do they announce they've split it up even more? This was just lame.
Nothing for Titanicus.
Almost nothing for 40k.
Really, like I said even together this wasn't the biggest reveal of the year, let alone ever. And that includes the fact that at least AOS got some neat new stuff.

That's an exceptional feth you to two factions that are in dire need of rules updates.
My take admittedly might be wrong, but I took that as they'd be in WD & Pariah, so that people can ge their hands on the rules sooner, rather than having to wait for a delayed Pariah release.
I could very well be trying too hard to read between the lines though, since as you've both expressed WD exclusive rules makes them seem like a bit of an afterthought.

I'm sure there is loads of excitement to be had surrounding these previews. That said I think there's perhaps an equal amount of disappointment. As many have said, GW hyped this to be the biggest reveal ever and absolutely nothing has lived up to the hype thus far. While the reveals are good, we've not gotten that jaw dropping, awe inspiring reveal that we've all been lead on to believe we would receive.

Well, yeah. But if it was 40k only, I imagine it would be a pretty terrible preview for a LOTR or AoS player.
From what I gather, there seems to be 40k stuff on the not-too-distant horizon.
Hopefully storyforge is working on an Ork themed thing at least. Perhaps a dark comedy or something.
I'd like a more episodic, almost sitcom-like show for the Orks. Definitely needs to be a comedy for them, I'd say almost in a TF2 kind of style.

Well, if there is something big, I’m sure it’ll be one of the last things they announce. And if we’d got all of this and the same amount again in one reveal, it would have been a pretty big reveal in terms of amount of things being shown.

Wade and Eddie's faces seemed to drop in relation to that twitch chat towards the end of the stream, pretty brutal.
I don't think the criticism is really warranted given the situation we find ourselves in and It's Interesting that they're parting out the reveals further... fool me once and all that but I can appreciate it's messed with their schedule good and proper.
That said, my only real disappointment is that more of The Sons of Behemat wasn't shown off, I'd like to see some models, please!
(More reveals means we may still be on for Grot sky pirates, Kroot or an imperial guard regiment though!!11 )

Must have changed the time zones for this one. Well, it doesn't look like I missed anything. Wish they wouldn't keep dragging the Adepticon reveals out.
This reveal has to be the lamest reveal from GW I have ever seen. The Rangers and Word Bearers are things that are normally revealed by FW in Friday Newsletters, the Sons of Behemat trailer didn't even glimpse a new model. The army box isn't even a preview, just a method of packaging.
So in short we got 2 actual previews. A character that precisely 1 army can use for 40k (and to be honest I think even most SoB players had forgotten about) and a Treeman, which while cool isn't even a new Blood Bowl team.
There isn't even a full new plastic kit. Even if you combined last week's preview with this one it would be one of the weaker ones they have done for a major convention in quite some time.
GW needs to stop hyping these things, had they said "Hey guys we have a couple new things to show you Saturday" I think the vast majority of people wouldn't have expectations for anything major.

Not really - GW can't sell anything at present. Stretching it out makes perfect sense they can't sell anything of it at all. If they'd dropped it all in one event yes people would have gone nuts. Then had a month or two or three months not able to buy or get any of it with almost total GW silence on new things.
Spreading it out makes sense; those complaining are in a minority.

Considering there are 4 factions still waiting for rules (Deathwatch, Harlequins, Sisters of Battle, Necrons) and the former two are confirmed to be in a White Dwarf issue, it kinda confirms PA: Pariah to be Sisters vs Necrons.
There's also a rumour that it will include a reprint of Inquisition rules from White Dwarf.
It was a lackluster online preview though...

Not really. They literally can’t sell anything right now so having stuff drip-fed out rather than being all “here’s fifty things you can’t have until August” sometime in March makes way more sense.
They could have communicated things far better. This is the first time we learnt that the two previews so far don't in fact contain all of the scheduled stuff for Adepticon. If they'd come out with that straight way, or expressed themselves more clearly, I for one wouldn't have minded the slow schedule.

Government was suggesting last night that the UK lockdown may be lifted 31st May - if the social distancing measures remain successful, failing that it might get stricter.
When GW first shut down their stores the official story from the Government was more long the lines of "we'll see what happens and update you in two weeks".
So not that surprising they've had to spread out the previews a little more thinly. There's probably going to be at least one quarter of their releases that isn't going to be able to happen when it was planned.

Exactly. If they'd said that the massive Adepticon preview would be split into four preview events over the coming weeks, none of us would be that disappointed that they're showing off so little because we'd know why! Ok great, but they didn't say that. Instead they just declared "We're bigger than Jesus!" and expected everyone to take them at their word.

They’ve lacked any form of big, punchy central preview yeah. Even if you pretend the elves were it, half their faction was already previewed weeks, maybe even months ago.
I didn’t even see anything worthy of second hand excitement on behalf of someone with different interests this week. The closest is pity for the few lotr players who’re so used to nothing they got excited over being tossed scraps.

I think there will be a surprise for Necrons coming as the Harlquin guy cant be the reason the book is called like that as he doesn't even have rules in the book as Harlequins are in White Dwarf together with Deathwatch.
So we don't actually have anything Pariah in the Pariah book and they didn't say anything about Necrons even thought they obviously have to be the other party in the book as there is nobody left
For me all of that looks like they just wanted to tease us and there will be Necron Pariahs shown off in one of the future reveals

This. Entirely this. They literally waited until the END of what we all thought was the final set of previews to announce they didn't even do half yet! The entire preview was billed as all of what we were gonna be shown at Adepticon when it was announced weeks ago.
If they'd have announced from the get go it would be split up into 4? Cool! The salt wouldn't be near as bad. But 45 minutes ago from when I post this we still didn't know this was going to be even more previews, we were told two previews that together would be the "Biggest previews ever!" Only two. Then suddenly that turns into 4! And an extra week between them!
EDIT: And other point out, this is all stuff that if it weren't for the Virus we'd have known already last week in one big cool preview many were looking forward to! We were already disappointed about it being split up, and now last second splits up AGAIN.

ou’ll be able to field her alongside the Sisters of Battle, or with any Imperium force, and she’ll be accompanied by her Harlequin companion, Kyganil.
More than can be said for all the Marine characters we had in PA thus far?

I understand that some people are disappointed but given the unprecedented global situation, do more of a drip feed approach is the right choice. If we get the next preview on the 18th we could get the last at the start of May, then push the warhammer fest previews back to June.
As more and more previews go by it seems increasingly clear that they planned to announce 9th edition at Adepticon. Presumably they want to save the announcement until they can have a clear roadmap towards launch. With all the uncertainty around now, it is anyone’s guess when that will be.
