Wow, they really saved the best for last! Shadowstalkers are ace, as is the new Szeras and a radical Inquisitor with Shuriken Catapult, who would have thought of that.

Why take your Chamber Militant when you can have some Ultramarines instead?

People forget that Inquisitors don't always play well with others...and who's to say that the Deathwatch would have said "okay" to aiding her?

I was going to say 'especially since she's radical and uses a shuriken catapult', but then I remembered that Deathwatch have Necron tech, so that wouldn't really strengthen your point

Mostly great reveals, save for Blackstone Fortress.
I like the Greater Spindledrones, but come on. This is the "last quest" and all we got are bigger drones and the thrice return of Thunder Hammer Chaos Champion. (He's on the box and hinted in the trailer.)

A bit of a letdown there, given the cool models we've gotten in the past.

Didn't catch the stream, but the WarCom text reads "This massive expansion will bring you new adventures, new rewards and new enemies, such as these Guardian Drones." (emphasis mine)
So there should be other things in there too! Agreed with the sentiment; they're nice but not the most interesting or novel design.

Agamemnon2 wrote:Szeras looks very Cryxian. I like it. I don't like the suck-sucking diorama base he's got going, but that's my beef with modeling energy emanations and flames in plastic, they never look right to my eye, and are fragile as models.

Thankfully, it doesn't actually connect to the main model it seems, so should be easy enough to leave off.
Not a fan of the shadow elves for similar reasons - I see what they were going for, but plastic-moulded shadows just look like plastic. Shame, as those warband tend to be excellent most of the time.

The giants look great in terms of detail (the face on that bearded one is terrific), the identical pose of the legs a bit of a downside even if photographing them from different angles is a neat way of hiding that fact. Still, at one-per-army the repetition won't be a major issue.

But most importantly, those Snotlings are one of the best things GW have made in years. Absolutely love them. So good.

wow. saul tarvitz came out of left field.. I was not expecting that, especially after all the jokes they made about him at the weekender last year, but then I guess traitor legion loyalist character models are quite thin on the ground.
.
The giant is nice, and that victim on the necron model is something I would grab from the bits store for sure. the rest of the items arent really my thing.

Hm, I'm actually wondering how it would look to paint those shadows with the famous Black 3.0 super-duper matte black paint

The less important of the two named crypteks? That’s kinda sad after accidentally hyping the silent king.

Oh well, at least he looks good if you leave that goofy dying human with a big arc of flying blood off the base

Szeras made the biotransference and is generally pretty curious about anatomy. Admittedly we don't know much about the story of Pariah, but it just makes sense for Szeras to be the one fething around with blackstone and life essence.

Yeah, he has a small role in the Necrons backstory (Biotransference came from the deceiver, but he was apparently somewhat involved in the conversion of that from star god pseudo-magic to machinery), but he’s not exactly a very important character, just... Necron Fabius Bile really.

Meanwhile Orikan has grand manipulative plots, some weird pursuit of godhood thing going on and an honest to goodness non-warp-based secret time machine he uses to correct his past self if his predictions go wrong, and the various named Overlords have entire empires to their names. Not to mention again, accidentally hyping up the silent king again.

He’s a cool model and more or less guaranteed to be a very solid HQ so long as his points cost isn’t excessive... I’ll probably buy two of him so I have the kit and conversion bits too... I’m just pointing out he’s not very important.

Another week another disappointment.

Giants look nice though, so it's an improvement on last time though. Just a shame they're turning them into Knights and we'll see them across the table every game.

Still no super exciting stuff for 40k other than some characters, Sigmar's had what, 2 new entire armies get revealed so far? :(

Nothing for Titanicus.

Disappointed.

That being said, I need that Inquisitor, and I'm tempted to get the Sister just because. Cool models. Just would love some non-character 40k stuff already darn it!

...or a Primarch.
