40k releases seem to be almost entirely just characters. Odd.

Probably / perhaps because they revealed the next "army"-release with AdMech pre-Corona and don't wanna spoil the next before those are on sale?

Just a theory. AoS seems ok with showing off 2, if very different armies. But perhaps they think Giants and High Elves (with giant Cows) are different enough to not appeal to the same people?

Really enjoyed that! In as much for the direction that are taking things- the Warcry war band looked cool and I was delighted to see a non chaos faction featured- hope they bring out others [they really need to do this with Killteam- non battlefield exploration of factions - love to see a Tyranid inflation team of specialist creatures/mutants].
Loved the snotlings are really fun, the giants look excellent and the Blackstone drones are brilliant I wonder what they will bring out next for quest - a fantasy one would be excellent. Got the feeling the Blackstone critters might become their own 40k force with them mentioning the finale of Blackstone had an impact on the 40k universe.
The last Psychic Awakening book looks great- love the models .But I got the sense the story is turning from the threat of Chaos back to the threat of Xenos.. which would be a relief..

Great stuff -plenty to think about even though none of those things are specifically my factions/interests. I like the direction things could be heading in. I am tempted by that sister limited edition model and maybe the Warcry war band..
looking forward to the next reveal. .

I quite like the 2 new Made to Order W40K characters, but why are they priced at £22.50 rather than £20? I was under the impression that limited edition single character models were pretty much always £20 - Grombrindal, The Primaris Lieutenant a few weeks back, Store anniversary models etc. Just seems a bit odd to have them more expensive (and such a small amount more) than the previous similar stuff, without any obvious reason.

That battle sister is an astounding model. Truly gorgeous.

That battle sister's price, though, is obscene.

Because that's how GW raises prices these days.

I've enjoyed all of the previews so far but that one was easily, by a long way, my favourite.
The giants look incredible, the nautical themed one being my favourite and will be really looking forward to seeing the conversions that people will do with these as well as, hopefully, some third party extras some studios may release.

The snotlings were out of left field, along with the Warcry Khainites (Hello D&D Drow!) all of which are straight on the 'to buy list'.

Funnily enough I came back to the PC as they were showing off the inquisitor and with no prior context as to what it was the first few seconds of drinking in the details left me a bit confused.

'Evil little familiar creature perched on outstreched hand? Head looks sort of elvish at a glance, dark coloured advanced looking armour... ermmm, new Dark Eldar lord?'

'Wait. No. Eyes are drawn towards the shuriken rifle; and the rather large skull on the right shoulder? Surely not!? Excodite?! WOW! Oh, wait... hang on, going over the details we've already seen; imperial looking grenade and a powerfist?

An Inquisitor? Madness, I love it!

Fingers firmly crossed hoping she'll be the first of a new wave of suitably eccentric and different looking Inquisitor kits. I suppose her being shown off with the Necron fella in that cute cinematic means an inevitable battle box first similar to 'Prophecy of the Wolf'?

Not to be too much of a debbie downer, the only thing left that I'm definitely not looking forward to is the announcement on pricing for some of these kits... £22.50 for the sister? As much as I REALLY like the model, I'll sadly have to pass.

Well it was a better preview than last weeks but then that wasn't a hard target to beat. Shame there's still no news on Primaris with those bikers but ah well.

Definitely the best preview. The Giants are pretty awesome, I could see myself picking one up at some point as they can be used in any army. The guardian drones look fantastic, I really like the aesthetic of the BSF drones. Khainite warband is off to a great start, looking forward to seeing the rest of them. The Lumineth ‘endless spell’ is pretty cool. Don’t love it but I do love the veiled face. Snotlings are great but not something I’ll get.

Saul Tarvitz unfortunately doesn’t hold a candle to the earlier Emperors Children heresy models in terms of detail. They still remain probably the best legion specific models in my opinion.

I really like the Inquisitor, the armour is really cool and she has a dragon.

Most importantly, Szeras. The old Szeras model has been my favourite necron model since he came out, and this new one is just so far ahead of that one it’s not even funny. I’m floored by how cool he is. Incredible.

There isn’t much rhyme or reason to the limited edition model prices. Some are £20, some are £25 (the Primaris guy with the Chainsword in the Ork corpse was £25) and I guess now some are £22.50.

best news is that my wallet will remain pretty fat from all of this.

1. Deathwatch update needs no purchase (already have Codex:SM so have just marked appropriate strats)
2. No interest in Engine War or War of the Spider.
3. Not interested in AOS, Warcry, BB, BSF etc (still haven't played any of the last 3 even though I have some models)
4. Will get Pariah, Stern/Kyganil and Inquisitor.
5. May get Harlequin WD if there is something of use in there.
6. Terminator Libby is ugly and that sister is too expensive even if stunning.
7. Oh, I will probably buy Daemonifuge.

Wow, my GW expenditures will be so low for the rest of this year by the looks of it. Hot diggity.

Love the new Sister. I don't even play them but I need it just to paint. Same with the new inquisitor and warband.

Great preview even though I didn't get to see anything for my particular faction.

So, it looks like through all these previews Astra Militarum gets zip? I think we've lost more units than gained recently, if going to legends counts.

So In summary my views:

1) AWESOME

2) The new Giants are not my thing (I'd rather super aweseome dragons); however the sculpts look outstanding. Chock full of detail, big and with loads of variety and parts on offer. I can see them being a very popular kit indeed. Not totally surprised that GW made them an ally possible unit for a large swathe of armies. Giants as a single theme for a whole army on their own are a risk because its a very top-heavy purchase for an army. Granted you don't need many, but you do have to make a big outlay to get your handful of models to get going. So having them as allies for other forces allows GW to tease them in and then once someone has two or three consider grabbing the battletome and a few smaller giants just for a fun quick to use army.

Overall very neat and great models.

3) The new Daughters of Khaine warband is a big surprise on multiple fronts, especially as we've just had the Underworld Warband announced as well. Their designs are also very different from the classic and they embody far more of the shadow styles and themes that the faction has. It will be really interesting to see how they fit into the army and what the other models in the band look like. Having more variety for Daughters is going to be a lot of fun and it will be interesting to see how they slot into the regular army. Right now the Chaos Warbands slot in at the very bottom of Slaves to Darkness, but also work in large 40 man units. DoK models could be a small 10 woman team on the AoS battlefield or up to 30 or 40 models in a band. Hopefully they retain the easy to use and simple approach to AoS rules that the Chaos bands have - making them a unique and themed force that will look awesome of the tabletop.

The Shadow effect is fantastic. It will be interesting to see how GW takes them into Daughters and its also good to see them both able to support their current styles with the Underworld warband which has a very classic fantasy approach to the model appearances; then something totally out of the park and very AoS for the Warcry team.

4) The new Blackstone Fortress models look fab and I really want a pair of them. It's also the final expansion which suggests that Blackstone is coming to an end; this might mean that Warhammer Quest will return to AoS; if it does so then based on the models we've seen for the 40K version - we are in for a REAL treat!

5) The new limited edition models going up for sale look great and I REALLY want that Sister of Battle.

6) Snotlings are snotlings and are just pure oozing warhammer fun. I'm not surprised how popular they've been in the comments both here and on other sites and twitch/FB. I can see them selling really well and also being used a lot in Gloomspite Gitz armies as stand in models.

7) The Warhammer Tv hints are neat, but like all Warhammer TV there isn't much to bit on at present. Still I'm very supportive and enthused by the artistic styles they've gone for.

8) The new 40K Characters look fantastic (have I used up my limit on fantastic yet?). The new Inquisitor has some very neat interactions with Xenos tech whilst the Necron blows the old model away. It's huge, gangly and clearly using all the powers of plastic to stand there in that epic pose. Very happy to see Necrons getting some love with such wonderful sculpt. Easily one of the best sculpts we've seen this year thus far I think (excluding the modular Giants kit)

Overall fantastic preview and combined with the others Adpeticon would certainly have been one of the biggest events of the year and in a long while in terms of volume and impact had it gone ahead as normal. Very happy all round, though with the SoB this week and the comic tie-in last week I'm getting the feeling that GW are abandoning Primaris and going full on for Sisters of Battle = a move that will likely see me ending up with the "Sisters of Battle Character/limited edition" army

How much is the new nun with a gun? The email store link is still empty. She looks pretty cool in the email they sent out profiling her from a different angle but I didn't catch the codex cover reference until I saw the side by side pic above. I still haven't painted my Amalia Novena yet so no worries for me at least if they're price gouging.

He’s a cool model and more or less guaranteed to be a very solid HQ so long as his points cost isn’t excessive... I’ll probably buy two of him so I have the kit and conversion bits too... I’m just pointing out he’s not very important.

Most importantly, Orikan has one of the worst models of the entire range.

Its up on the UK site. Both models cost 22.50 euros/pounds/whatever currency is used over there currently. I'm guessing teabags, or toilet paper if they're like the US
