That's okay, they made Stompas good as compensation!

But they cost 6CP to field. Each.

I'm glad to announce that we will be doing all-new all-metal sculpts for 9th edition. Each one will have a microchip tag for authentication purposes and correspondingly, we will only allow these new models for play going forward. Get on board with our two release factions - Space Marines and Deathwatch Marines!

Tune in next month where warhammer will feature a 3rd faction, the Grey Knights Primaris!

*Due to some unforseen issues we've had to push the necron faction release out to the back of our release schedule with the other Xenos models.

Upon release they will be sold in packs of 2. Due to not having enough room on the sprue, each two pack of Omegis Marines will only come with ONE Eradicus Mega-Bolter ...

So what do people think of the move to square bases for 40k? I'm not looking forward to rebasing a whole IG army but it will make ranking up rifle lines easier.

The move to round tables is interesting as well, I like the idea that different point values will use a different diameter table but I can see a lot of trouble having to mark off the gaming area's diameter every time. Maybe I'll just hit Ikea and get a couple of tables in different sizes.

The round tables are fine, but I don't see why that one mission uses an ellipse with a randomly fluctuating semi-major axis each turn.

It’s the rotating lazy Susan table I’m worried about.

Is it weird that this actually sounds kinda fun to me?

The Speed Freeks game will be one of the missions for matched play and all factions will get buggies to join the big race.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks do not think that purple makes them harder to see. They do think that camouflage does however, without knowing why.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Confirmed - With the re-opening of the Forge World webstore, they are releasing an upgrade sprue for the Primaris Outrider’s Raider pattern bikes. This consitsts solely of spinning rims for bikes.

In typical Forge World fashion these cost more than actual spinning rims. In Australian dollars, they cost more than an actual motorcycle.

211 - PLOT TWIST! The final Psychic Awakening book will be the Faith and the Furry, detailing how the Sisters of Battle finally purged the deviant Space Wolves.

212 - DOUBLE PLOT TWIST! The epilogue "The Blood and the Martyr" will detail the forbidden love between Celestine and Mortarian as they kiss in the burning ruins of the Fang.

213 - The new Chaos Codex will have a chapter where Abaddon's soul-sucking ebony demon sword H'rdt'sp'll is revealed to be a new incarnation of Elrick of Melebone's runesword Stormbringer. Elrick will emerge from the Realms of Chaos to challenge him for the blade and now can be added to any army opposing Abaddon for no points.

214 - The new Chaos Codex will be pulled when Michael Moorcock sues. GW's defense is that everyone who's ever worked on, played or even looked at GW games just kind of assumed they owned all of Michael Moorcock's works. I mean seriously, how else did they get away with this for all these years? After a prolonged suit the court will grant GW copyright over Michael Moorcock's works in perpetuity. Except for Jerry Cornelius because honestly that stuff is kind of pretensious and boring.

Haha! nice Moorcock (am I spelling it right? does not look so) reference (i'm pretty sure they paid him for at least a bit of the stuff they used)

In related news.... with the drive towards animation and other media, 9th will be accompanied by a soundtrack cd from Grimdark Music label. Inside sources claim due to the use of vile necromancy and vast amounts of alcohol, this soundtrack is to be performed by the rebranded Swooping Hawkwind!

Series of following on books to psychic awakening announced specifically dealing with mechanied sisters of battle armies.

Book 1: 2 Faithful 2 Furious
Book 2: THE Faith and THE Fury
Book 3: Faith and Fury: Tyranid Drift

Followed by innumerable nonsensically named sequels.

GW has entered an agreement with the Dragon modelling company. All new kits will be produced by Dragon and will be truescale, supremely detailed and cost 2/3rds the price. They will come with optional tabletop or display sprues for the choice of a more realistic or a more durable finished model.

Yep it's the right spelling, on an older forum we had to call him Micheal-Who-Cannot-be-Named because their censorship program would not accept a certain synonym for rooster.

GW at some point did Eternal Champion/Moorcock miniatures, including Jerry Cornelius, so I assume they paid for that. But no, they never paid anyone for the ideas 'borrowed' from LotR, Dune, Moorcock and more. Though they will happily sue anyone who borrows ideas from them.

Anyway...

225 - Finecast is out! Gone! No more! Same with Resin! Oh and plastic. And pewter. Don't even mention STLs. 9th edition will known as the Age of Lead!

GW also did a Stormbringer RPG/wargame, before it changed hands to Chaosium (I found an old copy in the back of a going-out-of-business FLGS years ago and got it for $5)

226 - GW partners with the makers of Tabletop Simulator to release official and animated figure packs for the game. You can buy the models individually or in army packs. The latter contains a 2000 point army based on the armies used by the game designers themselves (including a nostalgic Duncan Imperial Knight army), at a non-discounted price for each individual model included.

Actually, COVID-19 was released by secret Games Workshop sleeper agents in Wuhan in order to prepare players for the upcoming Nurgle themed release box - "Purge the infected'. The strain was developed by sampling hundreds of unwashed tournament players visiting Warhammer World locations.

Also, GW will finally admit that the recent price increases have been part of their ever expanding effort to keep Matt Ward too drunk to write any new lore.

Players will be able to shoot other tables provided their models have the range to do so.

This is actually why they suggest smaller table sizes. you will now be able to work more games at once into a smaller space, thus allowing those 108" range Super Tau Double Manta Rail Uber Death Slug guns, and IG Infinite range, doesn't need LOS 22" radius, can always target characters, Macharius shells to actually do their work.

211 - PLOT TWIST! The final Psychic Awakening book will be the Faith and the Furry, detailing how the Sisters of Battle finally purged the deviant Space Wolves.

Actually, they are supposedly working on one more PA book. It will be a "surprise bonus" given for free to anyone who pre-orders Indomitus, and will detail how, Abbadon's "Red Path" ACTUALLY leads to the Mortal Realms, and how GOOD NEWS! - you can now lead your Black Legion and Ultra Marines models in all sorts of fun quests in Age of Sigmar, using the new "Crusade" campaign rules system.
