This ship is an Anomaly…
Scourge Warrior
Perhaps 10mm just isn’t enough to fill that Scourge shaped hole in your heart? Therefore we have taken this Warrior and given him an upgrade. This 32mm Dropzone Commander miniature is truly unique and is the first of its kind.

Or just a random, one-off thing. They've done an Automated Dreadnought and Ether Drake previously (but IIRC they were for a different game originally).

Yeah those were intended as a test to see interest in a Stellaris board game, but that was it. The Dropfleet rules have been added after fan demand.
The ship could be just another human ship from an isolated colony similar to kalium. But new aliens could be cool, too! They teased something ancient in the recent short story.

I love the ship and the 32mm Scourge. I need them both.

What short story? Is it on their blog?
Are the Stellaris minis ever going to hit retail? Have they said?
I would not get my hopes up about a Dropzone 32mm game. There are so many games out there that would already cover the same aspects. Only caveat would be a very small game to play out close quarter battles inside the scenery pieces. But i would be really surprised if they actually create such a game.

I kinds like it, but at the same time think it looks like a high tech Nike shoe, and there is no way it could actually walk. Detailing is well done, almost enough to hide how ridiculous the legs are.

If the front could turn to the side slightly it might be better, but it has a giant vertical-only joint you can see. You get downward-facing-dog or plank. That's it.
I can't tell at all what you could do with the claws.
I see all the elements of the Pizzaro in the model, but the Pizzaro was designed to hunt mega-fauna. This thing is supposed to be an industrial excavator. They should look nothing alike. None of the concept art made me think it was an up-scaled Pizzaro.

That’s almost how I interpreted it. I was reminded of that Key and Peele skit about Ice T’s dog. I get that it’s supposed to evoke a truck hauling a trailer or something, but the most SFW description I can give it is “Mecha human-centipede.”
