Hekatrix with base 4 attacks at the very least means the succubus will have min 5 attacks now

Here's hoping.

If the Archite Glaive gets some decent stats like 2 or 3 damage, slap a blast pistol on her and she might be somewhat decent.

Yup, and if (big if) she can still take wych weapons as well, the impaler is looking tasty. That ap -2 flat 2 damage is a boost. Apparently it also has some modified stregnth.

In fact the basic wych blade and razor flails also have asterices.

BTW I doubt the PGL is gone but no longer considered a normal weapon. It might allow the nearer to throw a grenade 18" for example.

$10 says the PGL goes the way of the Strategem, just like smoke launchers.

I'm fine with it, it already essentially was lol.

BTW another implication of wyches base attacks profile increasing is that reavers and hellions will basically have a min base attack of 3 as well.

So assuming hellions are base 3 attacks (pretty safe) if hell glaves get improved AP I am already getting excited.

I can promise they still die to a wet fart but so long as they get to hit something really hard as a reward for making it to engagement I'll consider it a win.

Blast pistols and blasters not getting D3+3 dmg doesn't bother me as long as they are well costed. We can throw a lot of them out there and if they are cheap enough then the randomness of D6 is offset somewhat.

The new wych profile is nice. Extra attacks and basic weapons have AP1, oh man they might actually be able to rip and tear, after seeing PfP and combat drugs we will get a better picture. Dodge working while in engagement range as opposed to fight phase would also be a welcome change. Overall though this is looking a lot better after our frankly dismal SC reveal and splinter rifle letdown.

If, like smoke launchers, it actually does something useful I'm down. TBF though it already IS a stratagem, right? The Nightmare Grenade or somesuch that does d3mw?

I would love it if it was useful.

Is that a strategem already? Lol.

I just ignore things that say does X mortal wounds.

9 times outta 10 it’s basically useless. I don’t need to go fishing for 6’s. Just give me a weapon that does it’s intended job without gimmicks.

Honestly I can't imagine something less gimmicky than a mortal wound. It just does damage. No matter what. Sometimes you have to roll to hit with it.

Usually it’s: roll a die, on a 6+ that unit takes a mortal wound.

Most of the time it’s just not worth it. That’s all I’m saying.

There are exceptions.

So, new Drazhar profile seems stupidly strong, if he mantain its abilities.

+1A for him.
+1S and+1D for the big Klaive.

That would explain his points increase.

Hopefully Incubi still keep some version of Lethal Precision.

Coupled with Murderous Assault, this guy is a beast.

That statline would make him good at killing marines. Of all sorts, except maiby detahguard terminators. (3 wounds, but only take 2 damage.)

Jesus Christ....imagine how strong lethal precision would be with the additional damage just in general. Roll a few 6's for incubi and they'll slice through flippin tanks with ease.

Lol, right?

This guy eats Terminators and Gravis for breakfast.

Total hypothetical here:

Assuming he still has the dual blades version of the Klaives that gives +2 attacks and that Lethal Precision, Murderous Assault and Onslaught are unchanged.

Rolling nothing but 6's to hit and wound while attacking twice when he charges, he can do 140 wounds lmao.

Even without the demi-klaives, thats still a potential of 100 wounds in a single turn.

Torment Grenade was actually a really good strat, when Archons could take PGL's, score a hit with the PGL then roll 3D6 to beat leadership thats now -1 thanks to the PGL and if you beat it they take D3 mortals. Was a fairly reliable way to put out mortal wounds.

Do you guys think it would be a good idea to buy some Incubi to go go with my unbuilt Drazhar?

or wait until codex?

I you like them, and can get them cheap, I would go for it.

While we have no real idea of how the codex will pan out, Incubi are already looking pretty decent, and close combat is very useful in this edition.

Incubuy baby to the mooooon.

Naw but they do seem like a very strong glass cannon unit that specifically is very good against things that are very meta right now.

Do they suffer the Drukhari transport issue if you run them with Drazhar or are there other ways to move them well in 9th edition?

You won’t be able to put them in a Venom with Drazhar, but you can put up to 9 in a Raider with him.

They don’t have weapon options so they don’t suffer like Wyches and Warriors do.

That is unless they change the transport capacity of the vehicles in the new book, but I somehow doubt this will happen.

Maybe the venom because it used to carry 6 back in 5th Ed.

You could also run 3 units of 5 with Drazhar in a Tantalus

According to a datasheet leak (from reboxing like the rest) on the Drukhari FB page, Venoms are now: WS4+ / 3A / S6 / AP-1 / D1

Quite an unexpected buff.

Transport capacity does not appear in the simplified datasheet.

Is it likely that the Forgeworld vehicles will be in our new codex?

I don’t think a forgeworld vehicle has ever been in a codex unless citadel has made an actual plastic version, like the Contemptor Dread for example.
